I have read a little bit before I invested on ETC in the beginning of June. Prices dropped dramatically since then and I want to understand what is the problem ETC faces lately. Unfortunately I do not have much time to dig in so any reading recommendation would be highly appreciated. Shall I read this thread only?

What happened to this forum? It's all about throwing up random price targets and dates with no tech discussion or ideas on how to contribute to the project. All you oracles can commit seppuku if your prices don't hit your target on time. It's degrading the quality of this forum. Take the shit posting to facebook

According to the whitepaper, SONM would be used for drug synthesis which requires heavy computational capacity. I believe, drug synthesising process for a pharmaceutical company must be thier top confidential duty. Did you make any contacts from the industry who is willing to utilize SNOM in the future? That is my point of interest as well  Sorry to be rude but cant you be bothered to read up a couple of posts :-( Hi, I have just gone through Sys web page, Slack channel and Bitcointalk but unfortunately found no concrete date. I might have missed the post which states the exact date and this is the reason why I post my point. I would appreciate if you could guide me finding the post which has the exact date. SONM is great project. They already have experience in BOINC projects. Whatever the market does, the devs won't start from scratch. shhhh dont say to much i would still like to buy more cheap coin!  You can buy all cheap coins when they distribute bounties because people will dump so hard. Personally I wouldn't sell before Bittrex launch and seeing at least triple price from ICO price. Totally agree that the project is promising to keep coins for mid/long term. I would definitely buy more when it's dumped. |

For me as a newbie;
Since every developer is unique so the blockchains are unique in some way. This results in different reaction times in terms of transactions etc. This is another independent variable which makes trading complicating. I like the idea of decentralization but, process times must be more or less equal when you go to an altcoins or exchange from another. This would make cryptocurrencies become more widely accepted.
On the other there is the monetary system created by the ones who hold the power. These are the power concentrated people, who wants their centralized businesses like, weapon, drug and similar industries to be sustainable. You need to change the whole monetary system for success of cryptocurrencies.

Majority of Electronics products, Gadgets, shoes. garments. are made in china. can we trust it? ofcourse because we dont have a choice. i check my Laptop its says assemble in china so we are living in the generation where everything is made in china When you consider the products owned by reliable and reputable global brands, of course you can trust. When a company builds a factory it carries it's quality to that site too. Since it is their reputation anyway. As many others stated, there is cheap workforce there which will lower their capital expenses so their profit. Salaries in europe is way high to prevent them to keep their prices low because of the operational expenses. In order to be compatible they need to lower the expenses. On the other hand, I would be very careful when buying a product owned by a Chinese brand. Make sure that the company is on production for decades. You would search the internet and see if the people bought that product are satisfied or not. |

There is a soft fork in late July when we go "live" from test net to main net.
UI is being worked on.
Partnerships are being formed.
Marketing will be ramping up shortly.
The DX is already 100% working and you can trade BTC, LTC and SYS RIGHT NOW without a central exchange.
Stealth, Bay and hopefully Zcash following soon. Plus some others that that will be revealed in due course.
SPV integration (light wallets) so you don't have to download whole chains to trade will be implemented in the next few months.

Hey jrussell, in my understanding of Iconomi's DAA, you give your money to Iconomi & they invest it across different cryptocurrency projects to disperse your investment risks. In contrast, Hive Project platform enables owners of SMEs to sell their invoices to solve their liquidity problems. Let's say you have a business that sells a sports shoe materials to Nike. They order a lot, but you only get your money in 30/90/120 days. With Hive Project platform, Hive Project Fund buys your invoice for a little less then what Nike would pay you the next day. Then in 30/90/120 days, Nike pays Hive Project Fund the money they originally owed you. Your business has liquidity (to make payroll, buy new materials, outsource your new shoe design, etc) & grow faster without the fear of financial problems. But we're not done yet. Hive Project Fund is only the first step of the project. We will feed all the financial data we get on the business to an algorithm, that will get more accurate at credit scoring businesses with every invoice. The second step is peer-to-peer lending.
