In my head each BTC will be worth $10,000 US purchasing power in a few years. Long on BTC but want to trade the odd dip to get up to a decent amount of BTC. Made the Goomboo sell at 131 and was holding firm for a bottom.... Tharrr she blows!

There is a 'correspondence poker' web site where one plays heads up poker on many different tables at once but with turn duration of 24 - 48 hours.
I was quite into it a few years ago. It works well on phones, commuting or on the loo!
Usually 20-30 tables per opponent.
If someone develops a bitcoin version I would be in.
(Move to gambling if more appropriate)

America is crazy. The Bitcoin witch hunt could get interesting. They may even make a reality tv show that hunts down bitcoin miners.
SWAT team conduct dawn raid on basement of middle class subburban house with T.V. crews in hot pursuit. Pictures of fat spotty kid being dragged out of bed and cops smashing racks of computers and cooling towers with the buts of their riffles. Mum in her nightie sobbing uncosolably. Father looking distraught, 'Marijuana, cocaine, even crystal meth I could understand but this - I can't believe you're a bitcoiner. You're no son of mine.' Son breaks away from the cops and whispers to his watching friend and neighbour 'behind the fireplace, my butterfly labs ASIC - it arrived, fire it up and change the world'. He is then dragged away to the van and disappears.

Why is this site worth so much? Completely easy to replicate. Are bitcoiners so degenerate in their gambling? It's not even poker.
Ahh, reasonable sentiment, like a breath of fresh air. By the way, OP, - can you debunk "The price has tanked" in 10 seconds? Didn't think so. Definitely in "Desperation" approaching "Panic." Fortunately, you can bypass the entire cycle by forgoing emotion for impartial observation. Then every single stage is "Acceptance" and "Mad Profitz Yo" rather than "whining and crying about everything while watching yourself lose 75% of your investment."
I have not lost 75 pct of my investment - I still have the same amount of bitcoin as yesterday. The value of the US dollar seems to be fluctuating wildly though - but as my investment is measured in bitcoins who cares! (Oh and for the record - cheap coins yum yum)

The believers are being tested.
In years to come you will descend to the ground level of the mega cities to a small faded bar. In the neon gloom the barman will serve you your spirits for a satoshi as you recount your story. 'I was rich once you know. I had 100 bitcoins. Remember dollars? Well the price of bitcoin in Old Dollars kept changing. I held in 2011. I kept my coins in 2012. I even kept them in spring 2013. But that summer, that terrible mad summer, I sold them. All. See that block up there? 'Bulls Corner' they call it? So high it's in the cloud at times. There is a Penthouse on the 200th floor. Know how much it cost? 50 bitcoins. I was rich once you know.'
'Barman would you put another drink on tab? My Satoshis arrive tomorrow.'
The barman points to a sign on the wall: 'Prouhdon's Bar - btc only, no fiat, no credit'

Bitcoin is backed by: Distributed trust Ease of transactions Hardcoded rarity
The past decade has shown how centralising any of the above leads to misallocation of resources and disincentivises real investment and saving. The people will see this before the banksters and government.

'OMG it's so unfair people have dollars already, try my new version - LiteDollar'
'OMG OMG the problem with the dollar is it keeps changing in value - can we tie it to something like Bitcoins, Gold, Burgers or Bread?'
'OMG OMG OMG at least gold has an underlying use for hdmi cables - that is what makes it real and backs up the price - what can you do with a dollar apart from wipe your ass?'
'OMG OMG OMG OMG that Rpetlia is such a permabear, dollarz going to the moon, I'm loading up on cheap dollarrrrz....'
'Dollar supernode list: 0 - China 1 - USA 2 - rest of world ' etc etc

No one can change the creation rate of bitcoin. That alone is an awesome property as it incentivises people to invest in real value creation to make wealth. The current system rewards greedy bankers creating complex financial instruments that effectively lead to governments bailing them out by inflating away savings, pensions etc. If bitcoins ruled, or even became a mainstream option, there would be pressure on central bankers to reduce money printing, as otherwise people would choose bitcoin. The world's greatest minds could then concentrate on engineering, environmental terraforming, medicine and agriculture to actually improve mankind's lot.

I will buy all the way down. BTC is too useful and relevant to fail, as long as sha256 cannot be broken, or serial random private keys computed so fast collisions with existing coins in the block chain can be made. Too the mooooon!
