Would be nice to get an update on this. I don't have much, but I see that it said funds needed to be provided by end of 2018. So, if need be, I might be able to chip in a little bit at least, provided an update of the case.

Huh
You obviously don't work with this at a professional level, or else you wouldn't have posted that failed attempt.

No joke. I have several e-mails with Sam aka Alberto over the past few months. The reply i received yesterday was from a e-mail sent a while ago so i was surprised that he would reply back after some time has passed.
Any screenshots? You know as well as I that on the internet nothing is true until a screenshot is provided. Even though I am also joining the lawsuit and have nothing positive to say about the fraudsters, I won't eat up any claim about anything.

Really? give me 10mn and I ll provide you with a screenshot of a letter from Obama stating Sam is about to release 50 TH/s. Hell, I ll throw in a Photo of him with alberto having martinis in the galapados :]
Joke aside, I believe screenshots are the most unreliable thing on internet...
There are also incredibly easy methods to revealing if a screenshot has been tampered with. You'll know if you work with this profesionally as well.

Anyways, that screen of the mail exchange was really odd. He refers to threats that we see nothing of, which is kinda weird. I'm guessing there must be something further back in history or personal messages?

I just sent my e-mail to the lawyer, but have been busy so missed the 10 am deadline. Hope I am included in the lawsuit as well.

If we could have an update with what's going on, that would be appreciated as well Smiley

Well, the auction absolutely should have been shared with the general shareholder community.

While not quite a certain thing, the auction does offer strong circumstantial evidence that Alberto never had working Labcoin chips.  That's crucial information to shareholders.

Some have been holding out hope that Alberto was making a genuine effort and may return with hashing later.  The auction indicates that's very, very unlikely.

Everyone has a right to know that, while shares are still able to be traded.

You're right.  I was talking to anyone who contacted the seller on Ebay, which caused the de-listing, which screwed our effort to capitalize on the opportunity to see justice within our lifetime.

This could have been a slam dunk 100% guaranteed fraud arrest within the week.

In what universe would this have been a slam dunk fraud arrest? An italian dude selling from italy, and you would have who exactly arrest him, on what grounds? Your amazing trail of evidence is where? Some of you nimwits have been watching way too much american TV.

I would have bought them on COD arrangement and busted him selling property which wasn't authorized by share holders. I'm sure police would be interested and bring him in for questioning and at least they have something on him.

But the ship has sailed now.  and realistically it would never have work if we keep discussing these findings here.  Shit it's like some here are watching his back.
Again, how would you prove that the merchandise had anything to do with Labcoin at all?

Nothing has happened in the last week or so, not even moderating this thread. Yeah, I'd say pretty much confirmed.

A few weeks ago, I would have agreed. But at this point, the sunk cost fallacy does not apply. Why? Because the fallacy implies you are stuck in a runt, with all previous investment already gone. Here, we still have shares, and today we know that we have been recieving dividends at a steady rate. Sure, there is still doubt surrounding the validity of this project/investment, but until it goes bust/is proven a scam/does not yield dividends, it is not, per definition, sunk cost.

You trolls can demand all you want, no one at Labcoin "has" to do anything. Nothing will happen to them if they don't "obey" your commands. I have shares, that were worth 0 for a long time now, at least now I am recieveing some dividends. And you know what? I will take that. Something is more than nothing, so I am content with that for now.

I like this thread. And thanks for the info, Labcoin! Will be exciting to follow the development Smiley

Hashing rate is up again. Probablu just temporary setback in luck or equipment.

Shouldn't dividends have been payed by now?

Like Ytterbium said. At this point, even though I got most my shares at close to IPO, they've lost so much in value, I'd be having scraps if I sold. Might as well wait it out. 90% loss or 100% loss makes no difference to me. In the astronomical chance this will actually turn into something - which I doubt strongly at this point, even for an optimist as myself - I might as well just sit on the shares.
17  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 30, 2013, 08:27:00 AM
If anyone actually believe that it is possible to take legal action against this, they are seriously delusional.
18  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 23, 2013, 09:37:35 AM
I have to say that for a reasonably new trader like myself, it doesn't inspire great trust in the crypto idea to see this. The two things: Labcoins behavior towards stockholders, flow of information etc - combined with this, the closure of BTCT.co in such a sudden fashion, completely crazy stock prices as a result. Combined with YOU lot - the community, all the FUDstering and manipulating. This kindergarten mentality needs to go away if you want crypto to become something more than a plaything.

There is a positive trend in how crypto is viewed in media now. More and more PR, countries are deciding on laws/taxing etc. This is good. Stuff like this thread and this community though, isn't. Grow up, people. I have had to put at least 12 people on ignore from this thread alone. And I still have a hard time figuring out what real info is, since the few contributors that seem to talk sense also engage in childish verbal pissing contests - including the PR man for Labcoin.

I wish the childishness would be gone from this community. I am fine with high volatility in the market, but the stuff that goes on here is just too much. Please, people, manner up.

Trading is now frozen, so new sell orders cannot be placed. Seems I am one of the stupid people who actually trusted this company. Oh well, I risked what BTC I had, and lost.

Edit: I also have to say: the scam, if that is what it is, was really well made. They must have made a fortune. Shame though, this will have a seriously negative impact on crypto, since this project seemed to attract a lot of people who weren't previously involved. Really a shame.

Most sane people here have drawingthesun on ignore. More people should probably follow that example.
