Alright

"Bitcoin is king" "Bitcoin will keep growing" "Bitcoin is the leader" "Bitcoin will never be replaced" -newbie.
Why are people still so convinced about this?

Bitcoin is great, we learned a lot of it. Without Bitcoin we wouldn't have those other cryptocurrencies.
But just because Bitcoin is the pioneer doesn't mean it can't be replaced.
Bitcoin Cash is just a clone with bigger blocks, this will only solve the problem temporarely. So forget about it.

It's clear that Bitcoin isn't the best coin anymore. Problem is because of all this hype there is a lot of new dumb money that only see Bitcoin's insane price growth. That kind of people that leave their money on Coinbase is what I'm talking about (for long term).

If people would look at things more objectlively things wouldn't have gone this way.
I'm not naming other coins because I don't wanna make this a pump post.

Too much dumb investors these days.. Bitcoin is no longer useable in a normal way but noobs will never realize because they never make a transaction to their own wallets because they don't even know it's decentralized and stuff...

I hope Bitcoin will fail soon. It has had enough time to be adapted to its use of today. Why can't Bitcoin be as good as other and better crypto's? I have no idea. But in my eyes it's already game over for Bitcoin.
I know theres gonna be a lot of fanboy hate coming to this post. Don't make them ruin this topic please.

Thanks to those who made Bitcoin possible, we will never forget you. But now it's time to move on.

DEAL WITH IT!!

That is indeed the truth, Bitcoin Cash is the cryptocurrency of the future and it is the real bitcoins in my opinion but since we are all in this to make money and nothing more, why don't we just invest in both of the strongest cryptocurrency in the first place and make some money.

Dude, did I say Bitcoin Cash is the future? No I didn't. Learn to read before posting.

Bitcoin Cash is just a Bitcoin clone with a little bigger block. What's so special about that?

Yes Bitcoin Cash solves the problem but this is only a temporary fix.

Do you really think everytime that more people actually start using Bitcoin we should just create another fork with even bigger blocks?
Forks are useless for a simple upgrade.

Upgrades should be made to Bitcoin itself. Otherwise we should just ditch it if it is useless.

Its not correction, there's 300000 unconfirmed transaction yesterday, its some serious problems. and what would you do if you have that shiny gold but you can't spend it, or even moving it? its become useless

Yep.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thank you Bitcoin and GOODBYE (Let it goooo) on: December 23, 2017, 10:25:00 PM
there is a word you say is lacking, "Bitcoin is a miracle", and true I am also very grateful to who created Bitcoin, he is a hero Grin

He is the second coming of Jesus and this is the modern version of tipping the tables over of the money changers but he landed in Japan this time  Grin

So you are basically saying that if Bitcoin dies it will come back to life? Ya know like Jezus did once yall remember that kids xD

Anyway that was a long time ago...
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thank you Bitcoin and GOODBYE (Let it goooo) on: December 23, 2017, 10:23:18 PM
Well, good luck to you. If it that your descision to leave bitcoin then goodbye.  You become obviously panic because of the price correction,it's just a little bit down not totally end and nobody knows the move of cryptocurrency, for sure bitcoin will climb again.

How many times do I have to say I'm writing this because of a price correction?
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thank you Bitcoin and GOODBYE (Let it goooo) on: December 23, 2017, 10:22:32 PM
have a higher tps for example.

Let me put some meat on them bones before we talk about paying for extra speed and out and out blackmail

Transactions per second
BTC=7
ETH=15
IOTA=100
VISA =25,000

BTC also has more raw CPU/GPU power at its disposal then the other three (heats up the earth it does)
but let me assume that you program systems for a living like me then which two would you say is
throwing 50,000 threads in a tight loop and not getting anywhere fast and what architecture do they
both have in common ?

Will send you $1.00 in BTC if you get the anser right and also agree to pay my transaction cost first

"lol thanks but I don't have BCH"

So your not into blind faith, you like facts, not fiction so what are you packing out of interest because it
might be worth my time looking ?

Pretty much any other coin is faster than Bitcoin, I prefer Monero.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thank you Bitcoin and GOODBYE (Let it goooo) on: December 23, 2017, 09:34:43 PM
thank you too for selling everything and leave this cruel BTC world at the first sight of a dip.
Hopefully you will not regret it as soon as BTC will be back on track and stronger than before, it was a pleasure to have you with us.
We wish you farewell and best of luck with your BCH or whatever you will get.

lol thanks but I don't have BCH
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thank you Bitcoin and GOODBYE (Let it goooo) on: December 23, 2017, 09:29:41 PM
Your views are very naive, I don't understand how can someone be so pessimestic if its about the value dip its nothing but corrections and all the disscussions about bitcoin being just a bubble are bullshit. As for the technical and dev side of things, bitcoin is getting great updates coming its way with the implementation of the lightning network.

You are right, clearly this person is not interested on actually research what is being done to improve BTC and just whine and wish BTC falls

You are not right. I am aware of developers working on solutions, but you can't deny that developers of other cryptocurrencies do a better job doing so. Other cryptocurrencies have a higher tps for example.

Off course you might feel bad by reading posts like mine because you are a fanboy
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thank you Bitcoin and GOODBYE (Let it goooo) on: December 23, 2017, 02:36:23 PM

It's not about "falling" for it. You should always think and make wise decisions based on your own knowledge.
And off course you will have to learn about technical aspects of different coins and blockchain.

Most charts are concerned with miners and so is 90% of the code that does a lot of PoW and
is about reeving the cars engine without going anywhere and this is not something I want
to learn too much about because it is obvious that it won't be here to stay

1. Only 7 transactions a second
2. Wastes GPP/CPU Power
3. Wastes electrical energy
4. Mega high transaction costs.

VISA-Card works without Pow and is fifty times faster and can deal with 25,000 TPS
so we just need a system a bit like this that we own and control instead of the bankers plus
the rip off miners that have proven to be even worse than the bankers

In other words the king has no clothes on.

Well the slow TPS is because it's not as easy for a decentralized blockchain system to process that many transactions at that speed.
However I think somewhere in the cryptocurrency space there will be a developer who is able to solve this problem because there is a lot of smart devs out there just sayin.

Well I hope so about the update.

And as I already said I'm not writing this posts because of the value decreasing but because of the problems in the Bitcoin network.
Although the value was decreasing because of the problems within the Bitcoin network no matter what.

LOL @ The thread "Is Bitcoin more important than Ethereum"

A lot of people are saying Bitcoin is better and is the digital gold and Ethereum is the digital silver and that it can't compete?
This environment is TOXIC lol.

Dumb idiots judging about Ethereum without even knowing the difference. Sometimes I think this place is a joke..

I guess this place was a lot better in the old Bitcoin days before dumb newb started pulling their money in Saint "Bitcoin".

Not hating everyone though. I have seen a lot of intelligent posts of other people and I glad there still are.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thank you Bitcoin and GOODBYE (Let it goooo) on: December 23, 2017, 02:24:27 PM
Bitcoin Cash is a temporary alternative, never going to replace Bitcoin as a pioneer of cryptocurrency. The problem is a lot of transactions that are pending and unconfirmed, it's because the act of a deliberate person to spam the transaction, can be seen in block explorer many transactions 0 btc.
Delibirate or not. It has to deal with this kind of behaviour. In the real world there are a lot more transactions even without spam attacks on the Bitcoin network
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thank you Bitcoin and GOODBYE (Let it goooo) on: December 23, 2017, 02:22:38 PM
Looking at all these panic comments ...guys this is nothing unusual. At fud storm in bitcoin is already going on and it will continue to spread fud even further and the price of btc eventualy will come back to 10k.
lol, might be... But I'm not writing FUD am I?
Just pointing out some obvious facts.

Dumb fanboys are always around protecting and being loyal to their coin.
Don't get me wrong I'm not saying you are dumb before overreacting  Grin
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thank you Bitcoin and GOODBYE (Let it goooo) on: December 23, 2017, 02:17:02 PM
Maybe because bitcoin value increase and more and more people discover it with wrong interpretation of it. Bitcoin was a good investment of both money and time. And I agree that, maybe other people should let go btc if they only think money and depend their daily lives in bitcoin. Its not a good perspective to have

As I am saying, bitcoin maybe the first, the foundation of other crypto currencies on circulation but bitcoin is not the best digital currency of all time, it has  lot of problems and has a lot of spaces for improvement and upgrades. I think this is another plot of some people who want to shift the attention of bitcoin users to their own crypto currencies, this happened last year, and I will not fall to this again.

It's not about "falling" for it. You should always think and make wise decisions based on your own knowledge.
And off course you will have to learn about technical aspects of different coins and blockchain.

Good luck.

Because it has proved to be true in the past numerous times

Yeah it can be replaced and of course not by BCH. But till then...

It's clear that Bitcoin isn't the best coin anymore.

Yeah? And which one is it?
It might be clear to you but I doubt it pretty much.

I'm not naming other coins because I don't wanna make this a pump post.
You don't want to pump other coins but you do trash bitcoin....

I hope Bitcoin will fail soon. It has had enough time to be adapted to its use of today. Why can't Bitcoin be as good as other and better crypto's? I have no idea. But in my eyes it's already game over for Bitcoin.

You can always have a party with proudhon and nagle anticipating the fail of bitcoin.
Just make sure  you have reservations for the next century.

LE
Just checked you previous posts.
XBC Bitcoin plus fanboy detected / enough said.

@stompix you nailed it with your reply! One can's simply write off BTC because of a seasonal drop which did happen at the same time last year but was not discussed that much since the value was not as high as it was a few days ago and also there were not that many "grandmas and grandpas" with their pension funds converted to BTC.
Nailed what? Yes I'm a BitcoinPlus fanboy but that doesn't mean I can make serious posts like this one.
I think BitcoinPlus is better than Bitcoin, so what? There's many other crypto's around that are better (in sense of speed and scalability).
I'm not going to name more coins.

And people have to stop thinking I'm writing this because of a "seasonal drop". It has nothing to do with price although it's obvious that the problems in the Bitcoin network are the main factor in this. This is a good thing I think.
The faster non technical people realize Bitcoin isn't the best cryptocurrency the better and the less people who will make wrong decisions with their money which will ultimately in some sort of drama if they invest too much.

Loosing money hurts. So better now than at let's say $100k am I right?
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thank you Bitcoin and GOODBYE (Let it goooo) on: December 23, 2017, 02:06:01 PM
I deal with you. You are right, my friends invest in bitcoin and currencies from top 10, but they even don't know what is block, how does blockchain work and many other principles. And they believe that bitcoin price will always grow higher and higher, no metter what.
There's too many of those people on Bitcointalk lol.
Over at reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency the environment is a lot less toxic and a lot less fanboys.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thank you Bitcoin and GOODBYE (Let it goooo) on: December 22, 2017, 11:03:08 PM
it clear that some high crypto technolgies will come in future , and compared to bitcoin , bitcoin will look ridiculous and obsolete
Probably few years from now, now all the mainstream sheep only know Bitcoin
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thank you Bitcoin and GOODBYE (Let it goooo) on: December 22, 2017, 10:33:56 PM

I'm not saying people should switch. I just think they will at some point get forced to if the problem doesn't get solved soon.

It will get solved soon. I know that the lightning project has been in development for over a year, but it wouldn't be required if we got a block size upgrade, but unfortunately we didn't We got BCH, but IMO it's not a solution. I don't like people behind it and their attitude. I'm still holding a few coins though just in case as I don't like to burn my bridges, but my BTC holdings keep growing and it's the coin I've chosen to support.
If you're scared of BTC right now you can always hold fiat or fiat tokens and wait it out, but this drop will eventually lead to a nice recovery and that recovery will be pretty fast as it always is with BTC.

I hope it will be, because it was still great way before this of moving funds.
Also you have more choice with Bitcoin in trading. For example on Poloniex you have a lot more choice with the BTC than ETH and stuff...
Honestly I think they should give more options for the other coins.

Only thing I have a problem with is the unfair price. because a lot of other and better coins have a much lower price (even compared to total volume in $) But as another user said: BITCOIN IS YEARS AHEAD IN TERMS OF "Spreading the word" & PUBLICITY
That is the only reason to the insane prices of today even at current price ($14,519.40 - As of now).

Investing on bitcoin on this day has high risk of losing a percentage of money. Sometimes we need to be paranoid about our money especially in this kind of investment. Not your fault being negative. Being negative can be a good thing. I am still hoping for the best for bitcoin. Bitcoin will never be forgotten.

Off course Bitcoin will never be forgotten. Imagine it being part of schoolbooks in the future.
It will be like the first apes of humanity so to say.  Grin

Don't know, I remain confident with the future of cryptocurrency in general. Well see.

It's clear that Bitcoin isn't the best coin anymore.

The high price, forks and large transaction fees at first glance can easily be misinterpreted as negative.  When you take a closer look you will see the high price is from new investors.  This is monetary growth.  We live in a cash based society so this is necessary.  You can think of a Bitcoin fork as a birth of a Bitcoin like technology that can be useful in itself or for the information acquired during it existence.  You learn best by doing and here is much still to be learned about blockchain technology.  The large transaction fees are due to increased traffic and ignorance of Segwit protocol.  If you are using a wallet that has upgraded to the newest Core update you will experience a 30-40% reduction in fees.  Ignorance is will decrease if those who know about Bitcoin take time to share their knowledge with those who do not and those who do not seek to learn more.

Too much dumb investors these days.. Bitcoin is no longer useable in a normal way but noobs will never realize because they never make a transaction to their own wallets because they don't even know it's decentralized and stuff...

I believe we can attribute the hyper inflated price of Bitcoin to emotional investors.  They do not want to miss an opportunity so they buy as quickly as possible.  This would not be a problem if they keep there Bitcoin but instead, because they trade with emotion rather than logic they panic sell when the price dips.  The greater the initial investment from emotional investors, the greater the price correction.
I'm curious if it will be solved, if so when? There is no doubt something drastically has to change to get this fixed
