8/26/13 Update I have been given the go ahead to offer the 0.10btc each promo/coupon USB Miners to the other 70% of orders placed in my group buy #7 or earlier at prices of 0.89+. Simply put, if you ordered in the past at 0.89+ BTC each or higher from me in group buys 7 or earlier, for each USB Miner bought at full price, you are eligible to purchase one at 0.10 BTC each plus shipping. If you already purchased some of the 30% promo miners, you will be allowed to purchase the other 70% now. You can place orders for these along with any regular price USB Miners now in group buy#9 here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=270999.0 . If you bought from me at prices lower than 0.89 BTC each or from group buy#8 on, this promo does not apply to you. Please place all orders for promo USB miners and regular priced USB Miners in group buy#9 herehttps://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=270999.0 . Any new orders will be shipped from me in about 7 days. This group buy is an ongoing group buy. All orders placed should ship in approximately 7 days. Any outstanding orders that have not received tracking numbers should ship in the order received with many USB Miners shipping out this Tuesday and Blade Miners shipping out Tuesday or Wednesday as well. If you placed orders in the last five days or so, I am waiting on shipment of more USB Miners from AsicMiner. AsicMiner is to reship the "lost" shipment of DHL USB Miners early this week which should get me back on schedule for timely delivery for all orders once received. Any PMs that have not received a reply yet should receive one in the next 24 hours. Thank you for your business and support! Awesome, PM sent! Thanks SSB

Soooo, useing 12 volt adapter on a 5 volt hub is ok?? Just asking, don't want to fry anything Trying to find 5 volt adapters is a real pain,ALL search engines throw 12/9/7.5 volt & any other volt in there, crazy Some hubs won't supply too many mA to each port. Before I understood everything I bought a hub that only supplies 250mA. I hooked up a 3A 12v supply to compensate and it did not reliably power my raspberry pi or block erupters (even just 1).

Hahaha, I don't think getting these a few days faster is gonna matter much. I'm just going to mine alt-chains and give them away as gifts, anyhow. Do you have suggestion on the best USB hub to stick these things into?
I will send payment of 4.86 btc tonight for 15 units, and I'll PM you my shipping details this evening. Cheers~

Hooked up 100 USB miners, using 2 raspberry PI.
In my testing each raspberry can only handle about 45 miners, after that the additional miners just don't get detected. However after you get into the 35+ range you start to get a much higher rate of HW errors.
So I had to split the miners 34 per raspberry and 32 on my desktop, got another raspberry in the mail, so will run 3 total to handle all 100 miners.
Currently cooled with just a standard room fan, but the rig really doesn't run that hot so I think I'll replace that fan with a small USB fan for each hub.
Dave, could you re-post your entire message in this USB hub thread as well? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=253749.0What's the amperage of the AC adapter that you got? I have Sipolar in a "beware" section, as it got some negative reviews.- Might consider moving it into the regular table... I have only 1 Pi and 30 BEs, which all ran nicely through 5 D-Link hubs. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=253749.msg2903723#msg2903723I await 30 more from Canary, and then will try to run them all from the same Pi. If it does not work, as you post seems to indicate, then I'll just run them off a PC, which is up 24/7 anyway, while I'll use Pi for other fun stuff. Oh, and seeing as Pi's chips were rather hot to the touch, I could not resist adding some cooling: The supply I received was 4.5a 20v. Also note: 100-240 Input with a Chinese prong adapter.

want to move past 3.1.1 on my pi with BE's but i really dislike arch. does 3.3.4 still have usb issues with rasbian wheezy? Is there a custom libusb that works with it yet?
Sorry if this is posted elsewhere i did a few searches and could not find anything. Thanks.
How to compile with the known working libusb is documented step by step in README (I added it in 3.3.2) https://github.com/ckolivas/cgminer/blob/master/README#L112It is actually not many commands: get, extract, configure, make, autogen.sh cgminer (with the new libusb) then the rest as usual I have that working libusb source archive in my cgminer-binaries also: https://github.com/kanoi/cgminer-binariesWas able to follow your directions with 3.3.4 but unfortunately its not working. If a single usb device is connected to the onboard hub it never finishes booting. I troubleshot for a few hours yesterday to no avail. Even when i get it started it halts or reboots when i connect any usb device. I started from a clean wheezy but one compiled with FBTFT drivers and then configured to use my 2.8" screen. I think setting that up may have prevented cgminer 3.3.4 or the libusb to build correctly or maybe theres just a conflixt.

Sipolar 20-Port | 20 | 20 (?) | ? | ¥420.00 (~$70) | 3.50 (?) | 1 |
Short evaluation- DO NOT BUY THIS HUB. Long evaluation - I bought this hub, thinking 90 watt, 20v, should be able to handle up to 30 usb eruptors, without a problem, but .....I just received mine and right off the bat, you could not run more than 12 miners in it, any more than that and the additional ones do get recognized, do not get assigned a com port number , but neither bitminer, nor CGminer, can run. In addition, the hub is split into two 10 port hubs internally (It has two usb cables coming out of it (one for the left 10 and one for the right 10)). I took it apart, and there seems to be a spot for a 2nd power adapter on the PCB, but there is no plug receptacle, I may put one in there, but there is some soldering involved and I am not the best at that. Having one cable plugged into the PC from the hub results in the hub identifying one set of 10 USB eruptors running with no problem. Plugging the USB cable in the 2nd usb port results in the other 10 being recognized, but when you plug in both, it looks like it recognizes everything (all 20) until you run CG Miner. Then CGminer crashes and you cannot run. it will work with up to 12 USB eruptors in it, in any configuration (6+6, 8+4, 10+2) but any more than that and cgminer crashes. Now, to be clear, I am running CGminer with other hubs (two 7 port and one 10 port(and more than 12 USB eruptors, so I know its not a CGMiner configuration issue.), plus, bitminter doesn;t recognize more than 12 as functional either. Save your money, this hub is not the answer for running 20 USB miners at once (even though I wanted it to be.) I finally received this hub 3 days ago and it's a POS.... so I definitely confirm Garfield's conclusion. I wish you had reviewed ot before I bought it. it looks solid and promising but it can't handle more than 15 and runs hot. you also get unpredictable stoppages on Eruptors. as Garfield concluded, don't bother with this POS are you sure its not a bad hub or power supply? there are 2 people on ebay selling this exact product (search bitcoin 20 usb hub) and they claim they've been running 20 w/o problems without upgrades and even show 20 BE hashing away in the ebay pic. they are sipolar 20v 20 port hubs with the 2 cables http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=271249085838&item=271249085838&lgeo=1&vectorid=229466I connected 15 (sapphire batch) plus a raspi and a wifi adapter to this hub. I have 15 hashing. Its not perfect(sometimes 15 will run for 24 hrs straight, other times only 14 will hash), but i am using cgminer 3.1.1 on a pi. I originally thought it might be a power issue, but then... When I run minepeon it runs perfectly. Minepeon uses arch linux, diff usb drivers, and cgminer 3.3.1. Maybe you have a bad power supply? Or did the first batch use more power?

Any hidden indication promotional pricing will be extended to complete the 1:1 intention?
also... how do the blades work? usb + included power supply to the blade? or ATX connection?

does minepeon have raspi-config? how do i expand the root fs?
I am not sure if it re-sizes or not. If not this will do it. In fdisk, Press p to print the partition table, take note of the number in the Start column of the row starting /dev/mmcblk0p2′ Press d to delete a partition then enter 2′ to choose the second partition Press n to create a new partition, all the default options are fine: Choose primary partition type Partition number 2 The starting block should be same number you took note of in step 1 (It should be the default number so press Enter) The default ending block should be the last available block on the SD card, this will vary depending on what size SD card you have (Press Enter) 4. Press w to write the new partition table and return to the bash prompt Reboot now to force the kernel to recognize the new partition table. awesome thanks!

Those little LCDs are sweet! Anyone know if there's a place that sells them for BTC? Also, any thoughts on including support for the Adafruit LCD (used in this cool guide) in MinePeon? actually this is what i need, albeit with this screen: http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=93&t=48956could we have support for FBTFT drivers?

First off thanks for posting, I really appreciate that you took the time to share your results.
what is your powertune set to? +20?
actually if you could post setting info for cgminer or whatever you're using that would be awesome. Both scrypt and btc if you don't mind. I have a sapphire 7990 malta in the mail right now. hope to have two for xfire by the time Battlefield 4 comes out.
