I will say I found a key to starting up so many... it takes the USB's (at least the RHB-500) a few seconds to recognize that a computer (in this case the rPi) has been turning on, if I were to let MinePeon boot normally it would only see about 54 erupters (as the other usb hubs are still "turning on" (realizing a computer is there) you can tell this on the RHB-500's due to the nice green indicator light at the front of the hub. So, I delay the miner start up on boot by 20seconds... which corrects the issue and allows for the hubs to "start up" and always boots all 64 without issues if I ever have to reset.
How many BEs are you able to run on each of those RHB-500 hubs? Did you upgrade the PSU on them? 8x Erupters per hub, I didn't have much luck when trying to switch them to running off a PSU, I had a cheap 450watt and I hooked up one of the hubs to it, had problems running 6x Erupters... I may try tomorrow with a different PSU, but I'm fine running 8x per, it's been stable over a week this way.

... hotplug ...
Don't use CGMiner, sorry... My condolences. Hahahahahaha that's hilarious Not as hilarious as using CGMiner and watching it fail to recognize 50% of the miners...

You are correct. I am willing to sell them below my cost. Of course you all do not know what that is so if you are interested in 50 please make an offer. IF you are not interested please do not waste everyone's time by pouting about the fact that you are only able to get them at 35.00 each. I get them for less. An the guy that thinks he can get 15% off from Newark for buying 10 I hope you get them and free freight. You want a great price buy 50 from me. I get them every week. $298 total for 10... Hence why I asked how much for 25... but it appears that you are willing to sell them individually (assumption made on the basis that you are selling two of the 50 on Bitmit) but never answered my question regarding 25, you keep asking people to make an offer on 50, yet you already have one that's bid on at Bitmit...

New pricing:
Drillbit Thumb - 0.65 BTC Drillbit 8 Board - 2 BTC Drillbit Miniplane - 0.25 BTC Drillbit Double Scroll - 0.25 BTC
@Barntech, I just wanted to clarify something if I ordered say 8, would I get a miniplane free each 4 or would I still need to buy the miniplane? I ask this because I see your website still stating "The 4 stack Miniplane (seen below) comes free with any order of 2 or more assembled drillbit boards.", just trying to figure out costs, thanks in advance

how many devises have you successfully run with th pi? When I try to run my setup it crashes the pi every time. I have 57 erupters running on 10 d-link 7 hubs. All are connected to a Rosewill 10 port. It runs just fine on my Debian setup on cgminer. I have been able to get one hub with 6 erupters working but no more then that.
Grab a copy of the latest pre release from;- http://minepeon.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=291Use the default settings, so far I have been able to run 40 (that is all I have) stable. It will be interesting to see if you can beat my record. Neil How about 64 USB Erupters + a BFL Jalapeno?? Added the jalapeno a couple days ago, but 64 are a star configuration to a single rhb-500 root hub, that root hub feeds the rPi (the white cable goes to the BFL Jalapeno).

hmm, well, the buy now price on bitmit is higher than retail ($35)...
If anyone were to make a profit you would have to purchase them lower than retail with a bulk discount, with that being said, what kind of discount would you be offering for a lot of say, 25 units?
Retail on a grade b is 35 plus freight. They are selling everywhere at or near 43 plus freight. I have to make money too. If you want 50 send me an offer. That is where you get the discount but do not make stupid offers. I know what distribution pays because that is where I get them. If not I thank you for the criticism and will move on. Yes, retail is $35+ freight ($3) from element14/newark.com, of which if I buy more than 10 at a time, I get 15% off + free shipping (depending on the amount bought I get more of a discount, buying 50 would get 20% discount + free freight). So please don't try to scam me to think it's worth more. If you can do better than that, let me know, you're the one looking for quick cash.

My ISP, Virgin Media, uses Google Apps to provide email service, and they appear to require SMTP authentication. Here is the information and some more information. My impression is that this is pretty normal, at least in the UK, and has been for about 5 - 10 years. Having said which, I have tried putting my ISP's SMTP server in the relevant box in MinePeon, and haven't yet bothered unplugging the Butterfly miner to see if it works without a password. I have now successfully received some emails from the Peon, so disregard the above. On the other hand, Gmail put them in my spam folder, and SMTP Auth might help with that. Actually, now that I look more closely, the email appears to have no 'To:' address, as if it's been BCC'ed - possibly it would help to fill that in? Perhaps this is because I entered into the Peon control panel the from address where the to address should be? I wasn't sure what should go in the box, because it just says 'email address' and not 'from' or 'to'. I think my ISP forces the from address to be a particular thing, so perhaps the 'to' address has been dropped by being the same. The SMTP auth should be completed soon, I have it working, just there are some oddities that I didn't look into the other day after I got it working the way TheMineForeman wanted it to.

Hey I have a new question and maybe you can help
Do you have a backplane and if so what kind of surface did you lay it on, was wondering if I lay it on a metal surface will that short out the backplane.
I am use to putting motherboards on standoffs when I build a new computer rig.
Thanks again for your help
I'm running 4 without a backplane, however, I used Plasticoat and coated the entire inside of an old case just to make sure nothing grounded out. Might help ya

So SSB got back to me and told me that the new blades don't have fuses, looks like I may have fried the board D' oh! well that sucks, sorry to hear... I still find it strange, that we both have "REV 2.01" but they are actually different boards.
even more interesting is the fact my blades say "REV 2.01" on them as well...
Well mine does say Rev version 2.01
curious... because... v1: and then v2: and what I can tell from your image, is completely different from both...
So here is the type of fuse I have: And here it is on the board, does not look like it can be removed: interesting... did they make a different revision of the v2's?... hmm...
My blade does not exactly look like that, is it a V2 blade? I think I see what you are talking about it has an "R" imprinted on it and is dark red in color and below that has F1 imprinted on the board.
I sent a message to SSB about fuses included in the box.
Thanks
I thought it was, meh, okay, I stopped being lazy... (ignore the red / white wires, I ran out of yellow / black when I was making that wire longer) I'll be completely honest with you, since my blades came from SSB as well... I almost threw these out, it looked like an empty baggy at first I didn't pay any attention to it almost did toss them. So if you still have the packaging, I suggest you go look through it, as I've ordered a lot from SSB and he's never failed to send something out (to me at least). I already blew one fuse about two weeks ago, of which from the blown fuse, I can't even tell it's blown... just that blade didn't work, was about to make a post then I remembered saving the fuses I almost threw out...
Nope no fuses no little baggy, not even sure where a fuse goes on this blade
I would contact the person/company you bought them from... At the very top-left of this picture, you see a little white SMD fuse right next to the power connection. (Sorry I tried to get a picture without going and taking a picture off my blades, feeling lazy atm....) The fuses are very small, SMT/SMD fuses... look like this:
replace the fuse, you should have received some extra fuses with each blade in a little baggy.
