2. SMTP Auth.  I need a bit more time to get it right.

If you want me to work the SMTP, let me know...

On your screen shot, look upper right side, the date is 1970, that would be your problem. Scan pages 70-76 on this thread for the fixes or go to the minepeon forums (there are few more options there), but essentially, the lack of a Real Time Clock (RTC) on the rPi will cause stats to get screwy especially when the miner (which should start after a NTP update) starts before the time gets updated on the system, then it thinks it starts at 1970 to the current date and well, calculations are all thrown off.

Thanks for the information tk1337!  I've implemented the fixes discussed there, now I just hope everything stays working.  Smiley

happy mining!

was about to try this today and found another problem... my pi was frozen so i restarted it and it says PANIC: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(179,2)
Entering kdb (current=0xda82aca0, pid 1) due to keyboard entry
..................

this is what happened before to make me reinstall like 5 days ago... i am going to reinstall again and hope for a fix soon

Forget what it says about the keyboard, that is just the default that was passed to the kernel.

What it most likely means though is that your SD Card is going bad (the unknown-block(179,2) error message makes it plain).

Last time you re-installed did you use a new SD card?  If not I would say the SD card was the problem then too.

Neil

I had the same problem as the poster above yesterday. Got the same error "Entering kdb (current=0xda82aca0, pid 1) due to keyboard entry". I was never able to reboot and I was never able to reinstall the image to the SD card (brand new SanDisk Class 10), so I think the SD is shot. Reinstalled Minepeon on a Lexar Pro card today and just got the same kdb error after a couple of hours. This time I was able to unplug the Raspi and get a reboot and it seems to running OK now.

My Raspi is constantly shutting itself down and rebooting (every 30 min to 1hr), I'm assuming it is not supposed to do this?

I have two Manhattan 2.0 USb hubs attached running 5 Block Erupters each.

Any suggestions as to what may be causing these problems?

For the issue about the rPi shutting down, are you powering the rPi off a USB hub or do you have a stand-alone 5v1a source for it?

If you are powering it off of a hub, I would suggest using a stand-alone power source. (Apple USB chargers work great, as they are 5v 1a.)

just curious, is anyone else having payout issues at the moment?

I've been over my min limit for awhile now (almost double it now), everything from the set default payout has been confirmed for awhile.

Howdy,

I'm currently running MinePeon 0.2.3 unmodified with cgminer 3.3.4, and I keep getting an error along the lines of "AMU #: TIMEOUT GetResults took a-huge-number ms but was 100ms".  As a result of this, the "Average Hashrate" drops significantly and the WU (Work Utility) goes immediately to "0.0/m".  As you can see in this screenshot:

It's important to note that the devices continue to run at their ~333Mh/s and I'm receiving exactly the amount of BTC I should expect from 4.5Gh/s, the only real problem is that I can't make much use out of the statistics and other information available to me via the WebUI since these reported numbers are incorrect.

My current setup consists of 14 ASCIMiners USB Erupters on 2 Rosewill RHB-500 powered hubs (5v 4a each), 7 Erupters plugged into each RHB-500.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!!

268  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN][PRICE DROP] - DRILLBIT SYSTEM Bitfury Miners on: October 10, 2013, 03:11:19 AM
Hello people.

I'm very pleased to announce a price drop on all Drillbit System hardware for Batch 2  Grin Grin

Drillbit Thumb -            0.8 BTC
Drillbit 8 Board -           2.5 BTC
Drillbit Miniplane -         0.3 BTC
Drillbit Double Scroll -    0.3 BTC

You'll see I've changed the front page quite a bit. Much that was on there is no longer relevant. For now payments will only be accepted in BTC. I think most of you know the deal with PAYPAL. We may reinstate the third party paypal option, but for now i'd rather keep it to Bitcoin, after all, that's why we're all here right? If anyone is desperate to pay with Paypal or Bank Transfer, PM me, it's possible, but please, go get some BTC.

If we get all these miners bought up quick, batch 2 should not be far behind batch 1.

Cheers

Barntech

I'm sure all of what I'm about to ask is located somewhere in the 61 pages of this thread, but...

What's your delivery schedule for batch #1? Just trying to estimate how "far" behind batch #2 would be
Looks like a ATX adapter to the backplane, is that correct?

yeah and sadly not a fuse anyway.

Though I might have found a solution:

PART NUMBER:  SI4394DY-T1-E3
DESCRIPTION:   VISHAY   SOP
MOQ: 10pcs
UNIT PRICE: USD $3.00

From http://www.eis-ic.com/english/

So assuming it's the right part then it's not too much to have to fork out to fix it. Plus I'll have some extras if anyone else here blows one Smiley

looks like the right part #

The fuses are the standard vehicle type.  Any garage will have them, they'll sometimes give you a few if you ask nicely - they're beyond cheap, I think it's about £5 for 100 when you're buying them from a wholesaler.

Not on the v2 blades, the fuses are surface mount fuses.

yeah i saw some that said 1 for minimum order. I just sent a few emails off I'll see if any come back positive. Fingers crossed. I was gutted when i saw it smoking. It only just arrived today too!

I just had a 1200W PSU start melting one of it's cables (melted the modular connector at the PSU) so all my blades are stopped atm, accept for two I put temp on another PSU, only to semi-freak out when nothing happens after plugging them in, first thing I did was replace the fuse and it works (yay). However I am noticing the fuse that was in the blade from the factory was an 8A, however the extra fuses that came with the blades are all 10A... Anyhow, extra fuse solved it fast, but left me looking for the fuses online, so it's always handy to have some around.

Amazing thank you so much! Now to see if can find anyone who'll sell me just one  Huh

Thanks again

There were a few sellers on there that noted the minimum at one piece, but you never know Sad Might try checking with Newark.com I didn't search there, but they have awesome phone support for stuff like this.

Awesome thanks! On further looking though judging from the surrounding chips i'm going to assume that the mark on it is:

4394
NK∆
W21C

So would that be a different one? My electronics isn't great so the help is much appreciated.

EDIT: Apparently it's a MOSFET but googling 4394 MOSFET doesn't look as productive as the 4320

280  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Linux mining distro for the Raspberry PI - MinePeon on: October 08, 2013, 05:09:49 AM
Question #1 - Is it technically possible to have a web interface created that can monitor multiple MinePeon machines? (If yes, see #2.  If no, ignore #2.)
Question #2 - Can I commission you to do this?  (If so, will reach out via PM)

#1 - yes

I'm actually in the middle of making a system that grabs data from the rPi's on the network with a simple REST API and stores it in one location, also allowing me to see trends and other information.

Of course I am making this to play nice with pool API's as well, so I can see side-by-side what the miners are doing, what the pool is doing, etc...
