good to know that bitcoin linked address no longer get that much of gbyte in the 9th fullmoon lol

Reducing the distribution % from 20% to 10% will not stop the dumping after distribution imo , what byteball ball needs is more applications of the byteball infrastructure to make it mainstream, then the dumper would wish they didn't

They also claim to be 100% compliant, so that means they are registered with https://www.sec.gov/
(https://techcrunch.com/2017/07/25/sec-regulators-are-coming-after-icos/)

Maybe potential investors should ask SEC about these 'security experts'

If this project isn't in the US and isn't serving US nationals SEC, IRS etc can kindly go and fuck themselves.

Yeah?  You think WCX is going to build to $1B+ in volume with US citizens unable to use the exchange?

Good luck with that.  (Although I do love the sentiment.)

Cheesy All claims will be confirmed in due time, that I believe
64  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins rise after the bubble on: August 10, 2017, 10:50:40 AM
Markets frequently froth and bubble, but the boom in bitcoin, a digital currency, is extraordinary. Although its price is down from an all-time high of $2,420 on May 24th, it has more than doubled in just two months. Anyone clever or lucky enough to have bought $1,000 of bitcoins in July 2010, when the price stood at $0.05, would now have a stash worth $46m. Other cryptocurrencies have soared, too, giving them a collective market value of about $80bn.

Easy to say, but you need to have balls of steel not to sell at USD 10 when you bought in at 5 cents.

When you hesitate, sell 20%, 30% or 50% of your coins.
It's like having just 1 ball ... but of steel.

for some people it is not hesitation, it is not balls either. it is called discipline!
when you analyze something and come to believe that thing will be successful in a couple of years, like bitcoin and how it will be worth $XXX then you won't care about risking all the small rises to pathetic prices such as $10 or $3000. you just keep buying every time there is a dip and hold.

and i think there isn't anybody who has never sold or at least spent bitcoin. i am sure everyone so far have either sold something or used bitcoin to buy something like that pizza story.
This, when you invest you must try to avoid speculating with your money or you are going to be tempted to sell at any moment you have profits if on the other hand you are sure your investment is going to have value because you did not buy because of hype but because of the real utility of the project than you have no reason to sell at every single little change in price.

Bitcoin is an investment i leave to regret not investing and following back then in 2009 and leave to regret not holding recently in January, now i seriously do not know how to get back in

Updates

Thank you all for your continued support. We're incredibly excited and can't wait to bring WCX to the world. Our next milestone is to launch the Private Beta on September 1st, 2017 and most of our effort will be dedicated to hitting that date.

We'll also be announcing campaign manager and customer support job openings in the next week or so.

→ Pre-ICO commitments have reached $10MM. There are still a few spots left - if you still haven't applied, you can do so here.

All pre-ICO purchases are escrowed since this is a pre-product raise. All escrows will be announced soon. Funds are not released to WCX until the exchange is live and WCXT have been delivered to all purchasers.

→ The WCX Beta Program is 94% full. Most languages are already full. If you still haven't applied, you can do so here.
And again my question was ignored, as buddto there was no reflection on several pages. There is not even a general response word, which raises suspicions. All questions on any actual docks So at this stage I express my extreme distrust and go out. If the project takes off, it's fine (spent a little money), if the scammers then I'm glad that I spent so little.
 Cry Angry

I must admit this looks sketchy though, can't seem to understand why op has continually ignored your questions, this is not good PR, I will wait and watch though time will tell

I advise you to wait for the finished product, at least the test version. The fact that the developers do not open wild data (even just photos of the office with coin symbols) is very disappointing.
Developers, I ask you to take a photo-video of your office, place of work, it will not be able to disclose your personal data in any way, but it will greatly increase the level of trust.
As I now see the situation, this can be a great project or a fraud (you have well advertised your activity, and now you have launched a preliminary purchase and nothing hinders you before the release of the test version, just a chasm with the money received on the initial purchase).
I await your thoughtful answer, I hope my question will not be ignored. Sorry for my bad english.

Please don't FUD. Take some time to go through the thread and if English is not your first language please find a local ann.

There is nothing in this project to fraud. The pre-sales are escrowed. and the ICO itself happen after exchange is ready... In fact personal data about devs are not even needed if they structure it this way. This is better for security, maybe people won't trust but in the long term much better for exchange security. but who knows maybe they will reveal all about them, I hope not , its better that private key holders remain non-public.
Actually, I did not ask you. You are not a developer and do not answer my question.
I read ALL the thread. And I understand your and other security responses, BUT I do not ask for their photo-video (personal), and the photo-video of the OFFICE !! Read carefully! The photo of the development office can in no way compromise security.
Please answer the developer, all who are not the developer, please do not answer this question.

Your question is valid! I believe the dev. should answer your question but, you don't need to be a snort about it, every other member of the community has a right to their opinion, you can simply ignore those that are invalid to you
Unconditional you are right) And I apologize for the sharpness, unfortunately I had a very hard day ...

No p bro! One love

Anyone know of a good captcha timer script? Something like after solving a captcha, timer resets and you have to wait some time for the next captcha, also records IP, user, times solved, etc.?

Got an idea for Newbium distribution.

Distribution as in bounty?

you might want to check this http://www.snaphost.com/captcha/

I hope you find what you are looking for, good luck Smiley

Be careful with bittrex if you are an unverified user. They just dropped their withdrawal limit from 1BTC to 0.025 BTC without warning.

It's time to switch to https://cryptox.pl
No limit, very low fees and nice GUI.
When trading bots are active, prices are similar to Bittrex.

I'll give it a try next time I have something to trade. It doesn't help for the ~4 BTC I have stuck on there right now though, 4 withdrawals has tuned into 160 withdrawals without sending them some identifying information. It just seems rude not to give clear advanced warning, I may have even verified if they had given a reasonable argument as to how they will be responsible with the information (last time I verified on an exchange my identifying information was leaked publicly and I am just having none of that now).

Seriously don't understand the obsession of US based exchange with verification for full access, not like they are linked to the banks for withdrawal that would be understandable, operating an industry where decentralization and anonymity drives participation and insisting on have private information for access is just annoying. Angry
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: August 09, 2017, 09:21:16 AM
not sure here why everyone is so surprised about price drops. unless user interest and adoption increases equal to coin increase rate its logical it will drop. byteball is 50% distributed. at 100% distribution at current user base i expect it to halve its current price at least maybe more due to the no more free coin factor. under current trends id expect at 100% distribution its value per 1gb to be 0.05btc. it will be higher if user ownership increases 100% of what it is today.

this is just logical. why are people so surprised that when coins increase that price decreases if user amount is the same?

it is already an illogic when you presume user amount is the same ,where do you think that 1.4 million linked bitcoin came from?

thats linking good sir and in no way indicitive of users. it simply represents "free" coin wanters. the market shows a reflection of buys to sells. more buys less sells means either a few want a lot more or a lot want a few more. price lowering indicates less userbase or decreasing userbase.

byteball has lost value from 0.3 to 0.12. this is likely going to happen because the coins are increasing but unique users arent or are and arent accumulating more.

i like byteball its great but im going to be logical. it will increase in time but it will lower in price with each airdrop its common sense unless use base and coins added to each increases proportionally with new coin amount.

your more linked coins means more users invested is false. its not a true indication. many claim then sell. they arent a user but according to your more linked stat they are.

Good analysis man, as much as like the free airdrops distribution like the other person, user base is the deal to up price and that only comes with awareness and confidence in the coin, which I believe is what the airdrops are for, the more the link addresses the more the opportunity for more users and yeah people will definitely take profit its the whole essence of trading but you don't get new entries except price dips. In all everything isvfine as far as byteball is concern IMO, its just obeying the law of S-D

more info about this coming out in the next days and weeks, including details about the ICO, more promotions, and likely a BitcoinTalk sig campaign.

Will we get newsletters sent to our mails? And, oh! Bitcointalk Sig campaign? Any specific details on this, or not planned yet? Jr. Member's allowed to join or only for Members+? I'm looking forward to contributing to this exchange's marketing - I have a Twitter account with a lot of followers. Any kind of campaign that involves manual tasks, I'm in too.  Smiley

We don't plan on sending newsletters any time soon but will keep subscribers in the loop with important updates. Yes, we are looking into running a BT sig campaign. Smiley

hm Ok then i have forgotten my password, is there a change that you can reset?

No worries. PM me the email you used to sign up and we'll get that reset for you. Smiley

I'd like to know some more about this point: "Global & Anonymous. Trading's open to people of all countries. No ID checks" - not so much about the ids but other forms of identification. like, will you be logging ip addresses? how do you plan to handle hackers or scammers trying to launder their coins through your exchange? these kinda questions seem very important to me. and lastly, are user's funds held in cold storage? thanks so much for answering all of this.

Security and privacy are fundamental to the design of WCX. Our business model is very straightforward: A great trading experience at very low cost. We don't ask for ID and we don't store IP addresses except in malign cases (a user / users trying to DDOS the service). 98% of customer funds will be stored in cold storage.

Yes!
btw really curious! how many people is your exchange supposed to be able to serve at once?
If its a global exchange I suppose it may have to support 500000 or more people at the same time easily, right?
That's hard to implement well, I think there hasn't been anything of this scope yet

Our trading engine can accommodate around 1 million transactions per second. The UI site itself (outside the API) is built to be scaled to accommodate any number of users.

Trade engine accommodating 1m transactions per second that is huge, is that realistic? A lot of investment must have gone into processing power

Carsen has evolved into a professional out to create a product to help others and that he can stand behind with pride.
He continues to work to that end. Carsen's professionalism has matured into one who understands the importance of being a leader. He allows his work and deeds with this project to speak for himself. There are those who may learn of this work and because they are having a bad day or have no faith in people producing a great product because of questionable decisions or things said in the past which have since been rectified, they decide to say sore things about this project, because unfortunately human nature can sometimes disguise the truth and make us feel that by putting someone else down or wishing failure upon them, that it will make themselves feel better by doing so.

Carsen is focused on the success of this project. If you have negative words to say, they may likely not get a reply. He is spending his energy on addressing true development and providing solutions when he gets time to DNR teammates and customers. He is allowing the work and product to speak for itself. I respect him greatly for taking that path. His integrity shines clear.

Thank you Carsen

Dude on point! i have related with Carsen for less than a month i know that might be a short time to judge character but, i appreciate the work the dude is doing, i don't care about his past rather his present, we all make mistakes, mistakes is alright we learn from them and become a better person, youthful exuberance is excusable, non forgiveness at maturity is not. So yeah maybe on his detractors book he has no 2nd chance but, the world can be more forgiving and for you pointing the finger the rest points at you. i would rather watch and be quite and observe the trend. Carsen's work is speaking for him now and that's all i am listening to now.

It's time for Newbium to finally take it's place among the top crypto projects. I think marketing has always been their problem, now their getting things cranking. I'm seeing a lot of activity from Landomata on here, twitter and their slack channel. Hopefully Bittrex will pick them up in the near future.

Our marketing efforts shall increase significantly over the coming weeks.

i have always thought the team is taking their time to be ready to blow out, not that they are no aware of the potential of effective marketing techniques, but now i am convinced the they are ready! by the way great job on the new look of the coins.newbium.com i am loving it. i am sure there is more to come, continuous improvement Cheesy
