521  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Coinxu.com: Encryption digital currency e-commerce platform on: July 17, 2014, 06:00:56 PM
Do I understand correctly that this is a 2-of-3 escrow and arbitration service?
522  Economy / Services / Re: GAW MINERS PAYS FOR YOUR SIGNATURE >>> HIGH RATES 50posts = 0.1BTC JOIN US! on: July 17, 2014, 05:57:36 PM
Please remove me from this list for this month; I'd like to try a different sig campaign for comparison.
523  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why does losing ~10,000 satoshis feel so bad? on: July 17, 2014, 12:51:34 PM
Would you feel bad if you fauceted for 3 days and only got 6 cents, but got them successfully?
524  Economy / Lending / Re: 0.30 BTC Needed for 10 Days, Will give back 0.38 BTC Back on: July 16, 2014, 11:36:20 AM
On a similar note, I can't afford to give away the .1 I sent, but I am willing to extend it if needed, and not take interest. Just let me know if you need to extend the time.
525  Economy / Lending / Re: 0.30 BTC Needed for 10 Days, Will give back 0.38 BTC Back on: July 16, 2014, 12:46:50 AM
I would suggest making an itemized listing of expenses that you need to get squared away urgently, so that people know what the money is going to, and understand just what amounts are urgently needed. It could help attract other potential lenders.
526  Economy / Services / Re: WTS windows wallet compiles on: July 16, 2014, 12:43:17 AM
Are you also able to natively- or cross-compile for OSX? It seems that many coins have been failing to get OSX wallets up in time.
527  Economy / Lending / Re: Loans up to 100 btc 5% interest no collateral as long as you are trusted. on: July 15, 2014, 11:02:45 PM
Aren't outrageous offers you're not going to follow through not allowed here?
528  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for programmer on: July 15, 2014, 10:56:57 PM
Currently quite vague. Could we at least get a general category of what this falls into, as well as any specific server platforms you need/prefer to use? I might be interested if I know a bit more first.
529  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Help Requested for incorrect network settings for S2 Antminer. on: July 15, 2014, 06:57:00 PM
You should put the S2 on your actual subnet. Looking at your subnet mask, that means that the S2 needs to get an IP address that is 192.168.168.***, where *** is an integer between 0 and 255 (inclusive) and not either 144 or 168 (since that would be a duplicate). The easiest configuration would be to leave everything the same except the antminer:

S2 Antminer
Type: Static
Address: 192.168.168.99
Netmask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.168.1
DNS: 8.8.8.8

I would set DNS to 8.8.8.8 as that's a well-known public DNS run by Google, while I have no idea if your router would provide DNS on 192.168.168.144. (192.168.1.1 would not work, as there is no actual device there)

You can then access the device at 192.168.168.99, it has a gateway to connect to the internet with, and everything is on a single valid subnet.
530  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoind read error and crash. Log not showing much detail. on: July 15, 2014, 06:54:03 PM
Might be me, but "ERROR: ReadBlockFromDisk : OpenBlockFile failed" looks like an error. Could you try renaming that offending file to some unrelated name?

If that fails, you may consider trying to re-sync after deleting or renaming the C:\bitcoin\data\blocks folder.
531  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can someone tell me which QR code software to use? on: July 15, 2014, 06:52:52 PM
You can use bitaddress.org. After waving your mouse wildly for some randomness, head to the "wallet info" tab and enter the private key (which is processed by javascript and is not sent anywhere). You will then get some QR codes. Repeat for each key.
532  Economy / Lending / Re: 0.30 BTC Needed for 10 Days, Will give back 0.38 BTC Back on: July 15, 2014, 12:37:13 PM
Anyone can check repayment by checking this address.
533  Economy / Lending / Re: 0.30 BTC Needed for 10 Days, Will give back 0.38 BTC Back on: July 15, 2014, 12:31:24 PM
I currently can't lend 0.3, but I can pick up one-third of this, which could help pay your most essential bills.
534  Economy / Auctions / Re: Script+Domain / Coinev.com on: July 14, 2014, 11:43:37 PM
How does it actually earn funds for you? Ads?
535  Economy / Lending / Re: 0.25 BTC Needed for 10 Days, Will give back 0.32 BTC Back on: July 14, 2014, 11:33:53 PM
I would consider this with photographic proof of your situation, and even then, if I can't accept it, it could still help you--any and all documentation and/or pictures should have a handwritten piece of paper with "jeremyhalifax88" visible in the image. Avoid redacting if possible.
536  Economy / Services / Re: Need a PHP/HTML coder "Bitcoin Gaming Project" on: July 14, 2014, 11:19:33 AM
Is PHP a must? Would Java servlets work?
537  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Extracting a transaction fee solution on: July 13, 2014, 10:59:58 PM
Receive payments to a generated per-transaction address. Send the fee you'd like to charge to the company address. Send the rest to the supplier. You can use the Blockchain.info receive API for this, coupled with some sort of webserver running something beyond plain pages (PHP/JSP/django would do well for this)
538  Economy / Lending / Re: i want to start lending ,what type of virtual guarantees should i ask for... on: July 13, 2014, 01:09:34 AM
Well, you always want to have some sort of collateral, in the form of at least 1.1x the loan value in some altcoin that is traded and stable. Something that you can, if the borrower disappears or fails to pay, can convert to bitcoin to recoup your losses. Something like Litecoin or peercoin is best, don't go for random crapcoins that popped up recently.

Documentation isn't going to help you. Say they run off. How would smearing them guarantee you getting your money back? Same with paypal/anything reversible. They will likely try to reverse it in the end.

wow so risky to give them loans like that...the higher the risk the higher the profit for me as a lender should be (in theory)

The problem with altcoins is that in reality you are not lending them money you are just doing a exchange service for them.

i would need from them some sort of audio, video, ebook, script file that generates money and i give them only half of what it is worth .Anybody tried it like that ?

No, that's very risky. The borrower is too much in control. As for altcoins, it's a common thing here. You're not really exchanging them, they don't want them exchanged. You're also not playing into market variance as much. If they do not pay up, then it's a forcible exchange in your favor, however.
