1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.2 (Windows/Linux) on: December 07, 2017, 05:27:18 AM
Hi! I bought a power meter recently, I have a 6x Sapphire RX 480 Nitro Plus OC 8GB rig, while dual mining (ETH+DCR) I’m pulling 1070W from the wall. I undervolt the GPUs with MSI AB 4.4.0 final version to -110mV and -75mV for GPU0. Someone could post his power consumption for a similar rig? I think AB doesn’t apply changes to voltage. Thanks in advance!

Note: "-dcri" value for DCR is 24. GPU´s "mclock": between 2100-2140 and "cclock": 1150 for all (BIOS modded with PBE, copy 1750 to 2000)

I will share my experiences with you.  I am running 24 rigs with the same cards dual mining DCR and LBRY.  I use Claymore to set my control parameters and all my machines run 970W - 1030W and I am getting 170-175 Mh/s on each rig.  I run with cclock of 1160, mclock 2020 (doesn't seem to affect hashrate much but if set too high will result in cards going into open CL), cvddc of 870 and mvddc of 890.  If you want to get your power down, lower your mclock by 50 and then 100 and see if it affects your hash rate.  It most likely will not have a huge drop in performance, but you may see a reduction in power consumption.  Lowering the mvddc has a big impact on power reduction efforts as well, and you can play with that to understand power consumption over performance.  Also, running a powlim of -10 will get your power down as well with minimal reduction in performance.  I am using the uber straps mod'd bios and August 23rd block chain drivers.  I have to run ethi at 5 or below or the machines become unstable, and each machine has to be tweaked slightly to get it stable since no two machine act exactly the same.  Most of these machines run for weeks without issue and only get reset when I update the miner or change what coin I am mining.  I run DCR at 28 on the nitro+ 480s which seems to be the point that I get the max of both before it starts to slow down the ETH mining.  Hope that helps.

If I lower the "mclock" to 2100 or 2080 it affect the hashrate (i.e. 1150/2140 = 29.7 - 29.9 MH/s; but If I lower it to 1150/2100 = 29 - 29.2 MH/s) not too much but a little. I´m getting about 176-177 MH/s (very stable). I´m going to try "-dcri 28" but in the past I saw that any value above 25 becomes the rig unstable... I´m going to try "powlim" -10% too and observe, however I´d like to know how much shares I´d lose if I lower the hashrate to 173 MH/s for example, it would be worth it? Many thanks for help!

That's about right with what i'm pulling with 6x of my Asus Dual OC 580s dual-mining eth and dcr as well, at -dcri 25 hashing 178 Mh eth and 4500 Mh dcr.

Okay, then I'm calm, my consumption is normal Smiley

I dont know what you guys drink but we posted this info on 25 october. Why all pools still not fixed this problem? I can confirm that in the past there was a problem with cryptopoolpond, they did not pay correct amount to miners.

So... What is the best Metaverse pool for now? Dodopool or Sandpool better? Many thanks in advance.

Dear all,

I've set up a new Ethereum Mining Pool http://eth.ethertrench.com with: 0% fee, PROP based, 0.05 ETH min payout

Aside to this I would like to highlight:
- The pool has been proven to work fine with Expanse (see http://exp.ethertrench.com)
- Twitter notification on new blocks, just follow https://twitter.com/ethertrench
- Pool is listed on the iPhone Monitoring App: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/asi-mining-pool-monitor/id1274075951?mt=8
- eMail notification on lost miners can be enabled through email to the pool operator

It would be great if some of you could give it a try: http://eth.ethertrench.com

Feedback is always welcome!

Cheers, Jürgen

Expanse more profitable than ETH for now?

Sonebody has noticed a increase in stale shares since Yesterday on ethermine?

hi,

ethermine.org pool is down for ~30 minutes, do you know anything about that issue?

Same here

My profit goes from 0.73 to 0,83 ETH a month aprox. Be patient, ethereum price will increase of course. PoS is will delaying for 1-2 years I think. Hold and wait!

Hello. First, just want to thank this forum for being an excellent resource in helping me to get into mining. Thank you!

Question, I feel like I've been seeing a lot of DEVFEE mining as I'm running Claymore 10.0. So I did a count on the number of "Accepted Shares" vs the number of "DevFee Accepted share". For every 100 "Accepted Share" for me, there are 17 "Dev Fee Accepted Share".  Does this mean that 17% of the shares I am mining are going to Claymore?  The actual breakdown was 1,434 "Accepted Share" to 250 "DevFee Accepted Share".

Thank you for your help!!

It's probably connecting do a different pool with lower difficulty shares for the dev fee. Check your logs.

The diff isn't The same for our mining than dev mining? I think yes but, after Byzantium fork the diff is low. The stale shares rate increase (ethermine) but I think they are adjusting it, I don't know the dev shares rate but I check it for compare. How is your hashrste? Your average shares? I have 0,45 ETH rejected every hour.

Byzantium not create any other coin?

No

My stale shares on "eu1.Ethermine.org:14444" are going crazy. Yesterday 5, 6, 7 max. Today 9, 10... It's crazy! Somebody has noticed this increase in stale shares? Any solution? Is for Byzantium fork?
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Byzantium hard fork LIVE on: October 17, 2017, 04:12:43 AM
I got more stale shares I'm the only ?

I got more stale shares too, eu1.ethermine.org 14444 + Claymore v10.0

Did someone experience a hard drop in valid shares ?? Running claymore + ethermine

I did not touch anything.... 15 hours ago Many Many  ethermine pool switches happened , failovers, current hashrate divided by 2, very high rejected and stale shares... on my 7 rigs... I'm using eu1.ethermine.org  on port 14444 and 4444

Need help atm

I noticed that too, so much stale shares on Ethermine (port 14444), before yesterday 0, 1, 2, or 3 max., today 5, 6, 7...

Hello

I was mining Zcash but now I've gone to ETH, I ask that it is better to mine ETH alone or with SIA or DECRED?

I use 4 * GTX 1060 + 1 GTX 1070

Thank you

In my case ETH+DCR

Your miners work ok after fork?

Actually difficulty on Eth has dropped drastically. I'm noticing my profits go up by the hour here. This is awesome news for us miners. Anyone else notice?

I noticed that too, so good News!

480 or 580? 4GB or 8GB? I have a 6x RX 480 (8GB) rig and they hashes ~29.1 up to 29.6, ~176MH/s.

we are talking about Asus rx 580 dual 8gb OC with samsung memory.

Oh, okay many thanks for answer. Nice global hashrate Smiley
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.0 (Windows/Linux) on: October 11, 2017, 12:59:19 AM

Earlier this week, I played with them again to squeeze in few more Mh. These are my settings:
-cclock 1140
-mclock 2075
-cvddc 875
-mvddc 875

They average a total of 177.5 now and cards hashes from 29.5 up to 30.0. But the best thing is they now only pull 1035w dual-mining with DCR.

Hi again! And how did you achieved such a great result??? My cards, but on UberMix3.2 are giving me just 172 on dual mining with dcri 25

480 or 580? 4GB or 8GB? I have a 6x RX 480 (8GB) rig and they hashes ~29.1 up to 29.6, ~176MH/s.

Please, all that have a RX 480 8GB (Shappire Nitro + 8GB) can post the best values for "-dcri"? For now I set "-dcri 23" cause I think that when I increase it to 24, 25 or more Claymore seems unstable and sometimes my hashrate fluctuates. Many thanks in advance
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.0 (Windows/Linux) on: September 29, 2017, 03:27:56 AM
Which are the best pools for mining Ethereum Classic? May be Nanopool? Etc.ethermine? And the best Wallet for ETC? I'm thinking to change to ETC+DCR since ETH profitability falls. Many thanks in advance
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.0 (Windows/Linux) on: September 29, 2017, 12:12:25 AM
when i mine only ETC i get 26mh/s single rx 470

if dual mine etc+dcr only 20 for ETC and 600 in DCR

is that normal

You can adjust the secondary coin intensity with the +/- keys while dual mining. Once you find the best intensity that maximizes the hash rate of the second coin without lowering the ETH hash rate, you can set it in your command line or configuration file with the -dcri parameter.

My RX 470 Shappire Nitro Plus 8GB reaches 28.8~29 MH/s on ETH (-dcri 23)

u mean like this

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool us1.ethpool.org:3333 -ewal 0xD69af2A796A737A103F12d2f0BCC563a13900E6F.YourWorkerName -epsw x -dpool stratum+tcp://yiimp.ccminer.org:3252 -dwal DsUt9QagrYLvSkJHXCvhfiZHKafVtzd7Sq4 -dpsw x -dcri 23

Correct!
