201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICONOMI to the moon! Platform is online ;) on: August 08, 2017, 08:58:14 PM
Can someone tell me how to get a staff member to Video Verify me? I want to deposit funds, but it says all staff are busy? What do you have to do?
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Storj (SJCK) vs. Siacoin (SC) - Discussion on: August 08, 2017, 08:45:27 PM
I have a question about Storj Coin. I participated in the new ICO a few months ago. Now I have some coins.
I also have some STORJ X on Polo, are these different? Can I transfer the X coins to a MEW?
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero offline Wallet? on: August 08, 2017, 08:43:53 PM
Hey,
where I can store my XMR in a safe place? The Wallet from getmonero don't work.
How can I store my coins safe for long time hodling?

I have all my Monero in mymonero Wallet. Is that safe for HODLing long time actually?

I have 3x1070s and 3x1060s for reference.

So what do you mine?

It may be worth mining Hush for 1 day, just to introduce some variation and hedge your position

 #justsaying

Been dual mining Eth/Sia and Etc/Sia mostly. The main reason I haven't done any HUSH mining is because my normal pool doesn't have a HUSH pool.

How does it work to dual mine? You mine ETH and also get some SIA with it? As a bonus? How do you set that up, do you have a guide?

Yes -- that's exactly how it works. I am currently mining ETH at ~155 Mh/s and SC at ~1550 Mh/s. Just get Claymore's Dual Miner, make an account at Mining Pool Hub and follow the instructions for dual mining. They have a step by step guide for almost every coin they have a pool for.

Great! I didn't know that. Sounds really good. Do you think the claymore dual miner is usable for a person with no programming knowledge? Also how often is your mining rig offline and you have to fix something?

206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Good projects with under ICO prices on: August 08, 2017, 07:32:03 PM
I would like to mention Nimiq (NET). It's very much under the radar and the price is really low (bellow ICO) right now. Is only viable for longterm hold, don't expect to make profits before project launch in November, but it could be very VERY huge next year.

Really interesting thread here! A lot of hidden gems which I didn't knew. Thanks!
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: should i buy Gbyte now? on: August 08, 2017, 07:26:36 PM
I would not buy a byteball unless the big news coming like the last one. maybe Im wrong and I dont mean to make a FUD but rather than having money stuck on a specific better to gain a profit to new comers

What was the news last time?
Was it when it reached 0.3 BTC? Or what do you mean?
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Cash - hold or dump? on: August 08, 2017, 07:25:48 PM
I think the base for BCH is about 400 dollars, that is also miner break even. Since now they are mining in loss!
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty: Rivetz Security Project - Earn With your Support on: August 08, 2017, 07:24:59 PM
Really excited that the ICO will start in 2 days finally. I think it will be a huge success!
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitconnect to the MOON! on: August 08, 2017, 07:22:12 PM
Is Bitconnect really a thing? I have seen ads of them on YouTube. And I think a lot of the people mistake BCC for BCH because of the ticker symbol confusion
211  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Will quantum computing kill crypto? on: August 08, 2017, 07:20:49 PM
Quantum computing is still in its starting phase. It will still need couple of decades to become a threat to cryptocurrencies. I read it somewhere that at present quantum computing is focused upon only energy landscape issues and not on solving regular mathematical problems. We need a major revolution in our ability to build reliable qubit logic before we can even think about solving complex cryptography and that problem is nowhere near being solved at the moment.

Sure I get that but just look at where there internet has gone in the last 20 years. I'm sure if you went back in time 20 years today's reality would have been thought of as impossible. Technology moves at such a great rate that it would be hard to predict 5 years into the future let alone another 20.

I agree with that and it could become a great threat if it would once be possible to break the keys! What is a solving for this? Have the private key be 200 characters?
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | NEO Smart Economy | Official Thread |⚡Updated: Interview With DA Hongfei⚡ on: August 05, 2017, 05:13:47 PM
Hello,

one thing from NEO white paper has concerned me.

"NEO, with a total of 100 million tokens, represents the right to manage the network. Management rights include voting for bookkeeping, NEO network parameter changes, and so on. The minimum unit of NEO is 1 and tokens cannot be subdivided."

Now does that mean that you can buy only 1 NEO, an not 0.1 , 0.5 or even lower than that?

If it does that is quite troublesome. Now when NEO is 11$ there is nothing to worry about, nobody wants to buy only 0.5 NEO or 0.001 or something like that.

But when the price will grow( we hope it will) and it will reach let's say 100$ or even 200$ per NEO. Now somebody would like to buy NEO but not necessarily 1 NEO, but some smaller amount 0.5 or 0.05 but he or she won't be able to.

How will price continue to grow if most of the small investor will be disappointed when they won't be able to buy smaller amount of NEO, that is less than 1 NEO.

I mean you can buy ETH, STRAT, QTUM every token similar to NEO in much smaller amounts like 0.0001 even.

Why did creator of NEO do that, dont they expect NEO will grow or what?

I think that is a huge problem.
Imagine that NEO is 1000 $ and then you send a fraction of that like 1.6 to your wallet. You only get 1 NEO, so 600 Dollars is lost. That is really crazy right now!
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptopia Arbitrage - how to earn really? on: August 05, 2017, 05:12:04 PM
i've done it sometimes, and, it depends on a lot of factor. You have to follow some rules:
- check volumes in both exchanges, cause sometimes (most of) low or hight rate are given by small purchases, so you have a misleading situation where you will buy a big amount on exchange A, will send to B paying fees and realising that you have let's say 745 AudioCoins (bough at 1,341DOGE) but in buy order ther's just 0.5 audiocoins at 1,999DOGE and the other are less than 1,341 so you are losing money =D
- if you check and the volumes are ok you have to consider the transaction time, some coins need 6 confirmation other 200, so it could take from minutes to days
- before the purchase check the possibility to deposit and withdrawal in both exchange

finally it's possible to make money but most of the time will lose.

The best practice is to buy low on small volume and sell hight on high volume (buy on livecoin sell on bittrex)

Really good points. Especially the volume is the point on which you can't be sure. Maybe you will end up with a bag of shitcoins. Since you move the market too much with your orders
214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So has Roger Ver dumped his BTC for BCC yet? on: August 05, 2017, 04:28:51 PM
Come on, i think everyone knows that Roger Ver and other people only make threat to dump all BTC, but won't do it since BTC still have bigger support and they could lose their potential profit Roll Eyes
Or they simply wait BTC price rise and BitcoinCash price crashed in order to earn even more BitcoinCash Roll Eyes

I think you can't control what they say and do. Or is there proof of the alleged 130k Bitcoins Wallets? Can you actually see them on the Blockchain? Then that would be interesting to see.
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty: Rivetz Security Project - Earn With your Support on: August 04, 2017, 10:12:26 PM
I have joined yesterday. Will I still be able to get the bounty even if it is just some weeks now?
Will it get paid proportionally?
The campaign goes until after the ICO ends?
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Deep Onion on: August 03, 2017, 05:41:48 PM
TO ALL OF YOU who believe this project and trust the dev team, just continue doing so.
Because there are people who envy our strong ONION community.
They envy the dev team and they envy we get to receive airdrop by continuing to be qualified to receive.
So don't get swayed by these FUDders who are very anxious in trying to undermine DeepOnion.
It's their loss if they keep doing that.
They hate ONIONs, BUT WE LOVE ONIONs, and WE SHALL PREVAIL! Grin

I think DEEP Onion is really great.
It is something new like Byteball or IOTA!
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Birds? on: August 03, 2017, 05:37:12 PM
Seriously never heard of this coin -- After investigating it, anything I can find about it is shady or entirely generic at best.

Exactly, this is a bit sketchy. Anyone can start such a currency. There needs to be a good market purge!
218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ICO that pays dividends. on: August 03, 2017, 05:35:54 PM
I think TaaS is promising. However I also like ICONOMI. The problem with these dividends is how do you tax them? If you don't sell them to FIAT?

Are you US citizen? If Yes, then you can't even participate their ICO, so you shouldn't buy any coins.
If No, then there's no tax for holding crypto currencies. It depends on your country law. For my country they don't recognize crypto currencies as money so we don't pay any taxes.

No, I am from Europe.
Yeah I have to research. The US citizens are out of nearly every ICO I see. Kinda sad that there is so much regulation.
Thanks!
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Potential x50-x100 coins let's discuss which one we think on: August 03, 2017, 04:49:22 PM
I think what we need to do is find really small coins. Because all the coins which are in the top 20 already don't have that much room to grow anymore..
I like XEL and HEAT as hidden champions.
