Philippine traders need help! We want an exchange with p2p feature like Binance.

BTC

Maraming salamat ulit, kabayan.

Wow, thank you very much sa advice. I did not consider na possibility yun pagbaba, sa isip ko worst case scenario ay stay the same lang 400k, hinde tataas

Meron ako statement sa Coinbase 2013-2014 mga purchases ng btc, pero syempre nag circulate na kung saan saan over the years mahirap i prove o i trace as "proof of funds", at hinde naman ganuun kadami, less than 10

Sige, hinde ko na lang apply dun sa custom, ok na sana hinde magbago yun limits, wala pa ako sa pinas, dun mag retire in a few months
6  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: February 18, 2023, 12:31:19 AM

Yun nga ang tukoy ko yun monthly cashout meron ako limit 400k pesos same as  daily

That's everyone's story though ... everyone knew about Bitcoin when it was a buck.

I was late to the party apparently.
I cannot even remember the price being in the double digits, honestly.

Stacking sats now. All the best I can do. Purchasing land out of the realm of possible things for the moment.

But I am happy as it is right now. Still early compared to the mass. And who knows what would have I done if I had purchased 1000 BTC at 1.

@Jimbotoronto: congrats marrying the right girl.

congrats to jimboToronto!

Same here, heard about bitcoin in the news before 2013 but was too busy to look into it, working 7 days (accepted all OT work) trying to pay off bills and debt, not ashamed to admit I borrowed from cc to buy bitcoin when the price was triple digits and kept borrowing/buying as price went up, lost all profits in the bear market of 2014-16

Held through 2018-19 bear market, but did pay off debts with profits. Quit my job this year, bitcoin has been good to (all of) us even the ones that were not that early to the party
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tezos discussion on: April 29, 2020, 04:04:29 AM
I have a question for experienced Tezos stakers:
- I delegated my TEZ to a big baker almost 2 months ago.
- I have not yet received any rewards.
- When I check my address on a blockexplorer, I can see it is correctly delegated.
- When I check the baker address, I can see my address is listed in the "Delegators" tab (I use https://tzstats.com ), I can also see the amount I get rewarded every round.
- However no XTZ have arrived in my wallet so far. Does it take so long for the Tezos to arrive, or is there something wrong?

Many thanks for your help!

It shouldn't take that long. There are some big bakers that changed their address and even some big bakers that have "shutdown", but still somehow still baking and not paying rewards.

I'm a (small) solo-baker but when I get rewards which would be extra coins outside of the rolls and would not earn interest, so  those coins I transfer to my Kukai web wallet which I then delegate to Happy Tezos. Whoever you're baking with, especially if it's a big baker, would have put an announcement on their website of a change of address or a shutdown.

You can post on r/Tezos and name the baker and someone would advise on the status of the baker.

I bought between 1 XTZ between 1.50 usd and between 1.36 usd. Tezos is slowly declining and I am not happy about it. I signed up for staking on kraken ... what do you think about the future ... I think I've already lost on TEZOS. Happy celebrations !

be patient...

right, be patient👍
Tezos will reach a new all time high by the next bullrun rally
keep staking your tezzies on kraken - thats the best way  Wink

No , it's not the best way : not your private keys not your coins.
Better way is delegating from your own wallet to some nodes : this way your tezzies never leave your wallet and you stay on the safe side.

Better safe than sorry Wink

yeah, i know that
with "thats the best way" i mean the staking  Wink
i delegate my whole XTZ from my own wallet to a baker too

Solo-baking is nice if you have enough coins and don't mind working on the Linux command line. There's not much difference in yields vs delegating to a good baker, but there's satisfaction when signing a block or endorsing and voting (currently on-going for Carthage) and you'll be helping in securing and decentralization of the Tezos blockchain.

https://twitter.com/krakenfx/status/1205592546639929344

now you can also put your tezzies on Kraken for the staking procedure!  Cool🚀

Kraken might be better than Binance, but best is to delegate from your own wallet, so private keys are with you. Plus, it's nice to get the rewards every cycle (~ 3 days) to pay some bills or grab some drinks    Smiley

What do you mean by "better"? Binance much bigger and has much more volume. Or do you mean staking % on Kraken is bigger than on Binance?

In the sense that Kraken is not shady like Binance. There's a big possibility that Binance is using its users' xtz deposits as bonds for baking. Sure they are not charging "fees" and giving all the rewards back to the users, but it goes against the idea of bakers taking a risk of loss of funds (bonds) to be able to secure the blockchain and be rewarded (PoS vs PoW).

It's also more likely that Kraken will participate in the Tezos on-chain governance process (vote), but we'll see this soon enough as the next proposal, Carthage, is on the way...

Just read this message while playing with my texbox wallet :

Quote
Delegation has changed with the Babylon upgrade - you can now delegate directly from your tz* address. If you want to change your delegate, please transfer your funds to your tz* address and delegate from there. We will re-add delegation for KT1 addresses in the future.

Is it a compulsory move we have to make anytiime soon? I mean , I'm currently delegating from my KT1 address and receiving rewardss regularly but wouldn't like to discover I'll stop receiveing them and restart my delegation and wait for the maturation period again.

How does it work?

Yes, that was actually a question I was asking too, I'm a bit confused right now.
Thanks bitcoin2daMoon for some explanation, but it's still a bit unclear for me

Yea, I remember seeing that message, too, so I started moving Tez to the parent Tz1 address, but left a small amount on the KT1 address and Tzstats still show the delegation even from the small amount. On the CLI wallet, I didn't make any changes as it's more of a cold-wallet so private keys are inaccessible, and the rewards amount are unaffected and the bakendorse website shows my number of rolls as the same.

I saw a twitter exchange between a delegator and a baker about some missed payments on the rewards and the baker said it's because they don't accept Kt1 delegations, something to do with the new smartnet contract configuration, but it's all above my head. Baker offered to still pay the missed rewards. I think it all depends on the baker if it has re-structured, but since I'm a solo-baker and didn't make any changes on my node-baker machine (other than recompiling to upgrade), delegations from Kt1 addresses are still ok for my setup. Sorry if I'm just confusing it even more, lol. Hope someone with more knowledge would shed light on this.
