41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: July 11, 2018, 07:35:24 AM
why waves coin undervalue and why after 2 years we didnt see big company using waves blockchain ? ?

Mainly, waves token is just following the BTC price trend together with all other alts. In my view, there should be more fiat/Waves pairs to disconnect from BTC price. Next to that, there are other projects that have a lot of hyped marketing, empty promises and fancy websites, but no working product. It takes time for the crypto market to mature and for investors to value projects on their true value. Waves is a great platform and with a fully working product that is fast, safe, high quality and receives regular updates from dev team. Just be patient, as at a certain point price will follow quality.

New Coins that the community respects more than stratis. ( If respect is measured by the amount of capitalization )

Cardano
OmiseGO
Qtum
VeChain
Ontology
ICON
Zilliqa
Aeternity
Bytom
Bitcoin Gold
Bitcoin Diamond
Pundi X
Nano
Populous
Status
Basic Attention Token
RChain

Man, if we would all just follow blindly the market cap as reference to community respect, we would all be brainless sheeps. 95% of people have no clue what they buy, how the tech works and how to distinguish quality from crap. They just follow hypes and marketing insentives. Most of the abovre mentioned projectst are either a straight fork of BTC, or do not have a proper working product on mainnet. Good luck investing in these shit projects. I stay with Stratis for the long term.

22$ my cloak purchased before what should i do? i am very worry Sad Sad Sad

I advice you to sell at 80% loss to me, then i have cheaper coins Wink

I made the same mistake when started with crypto few years ago with Stratis. Best thing to so is buy extra to lower your average buying price, or just wait patiently for a new bull market.

hahaha classic 2018 investor. Lets all complain when markets are up because we missed out on buying stratis when it was 5$, and lets all sell in anger and frustration when 'this shitcoin' is at 3$. Seriously people should have to take an IQ test before investing

waves blockchain and wallet need to be faster

Man, what you talk about? Waves-NG algoritm is the fastest blockchain tech currently available.

I think I need to repost this message daily here it would seem.

This coin needs more exchanges, how can we help?

i agree, it would be nice to have AMS coin on more exchanges.

waves become useless coin we must close this ann
The developers need to give focus to the development of this coin. The system of them is outdated and people do not use them much for their projects. If they will give more advancement to their system and will give more tools to the developers of projects then they will come to adopt it the investors will also rely on that coin for their profit and the coin will come as a new competitor to ethereum.

Waves platform is the state of the art decentralized blockchain platform with a working DEX and one the fastest consensus algoritms currently available (Waves NG). Their dev team is in the top-10 of the most active team in the crypto space (https://www.cryptomiso.com/). How can you say this is outdated man? Waves has at least a working platsform in production. What do the other over-hyped projects like EOS, IOTA, Qtum, Cardano, Vechain have? If you want profit/rewards, hold Waves for a couple of years, as it is way ahead of most other projects out there.

please tell me, I did not understand a little - POS coin AMS is only when the master works Noda? I have about 10K coins, included a wallet, but after 2-3 days POS was zero. Someone studied this question?

You can earn rewards by either start a masternode (100k AMS required), or to stake your coins via the AMS wallet. Staking rewards between MN and staking are 50/50 for each block and are gradually decreasing over time according to a breackdown schedule (see below). I currently stake around 100k AMS 24/7 and so far this works smoothly. I get between 15 and 30 AMS per day with 100k AMS staking.

PoS Rewards Breakdown:
PoS Phase 1: [blocks 259201-302399] 4.75 AMS ((50% masternode - 50% staker))
PoS Phase 2: [blocks 302400-345599] 4.6 AMS ((50% masternode - 50% staker))
PoS Phase 3: [blocks 345600-388799] 4.25 AMS ((50% masternode - 50% staker))
PoS Phase 4: [blocks 388800-431999] 4 AMS ((50% masternode - 50% staker))
PoS Phase 5: [blocks 432000-475199] 3.75 AMS ((50% masternode - 50% staker))
PoS Phase 6: [blocks 475200-518399] 3.5 AMS ((50% masternode - 50% staker))
PoS Phase 7: [blocks 518400-561599] 3.25 AMS ((50% masternode - 50% staker))
PoS Phase 8: [blocks 561600-604799] 3 AMS ((50% masternode - 50% staker))
PoS Phase 9: [blocks 604800-647999] 2.25 AMS ((50% masternode - 50% staker))
PoS Phase X: [blocks 648000-Infinite]   2 AMS ((50% masternode - 50% staker))

Hi Kees,

Good job and indeed let's focus on the new developments!
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AMS] AmsterdamCoin™ | 100% PoS, Masternodes, Obfuscation, Seesaw on: June 08, 2018, 08:03:24 AM
Yobit hasn't been on the right wallet/chain for ages. This is the same for many low cap coins that were listed on that crap exchange. They don't bother with support for many small coins and have justly earned a negative reputation based on their track record of just not giving a sh*t.

Then it's time to list AMS coin to some other exchanges
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AMS] AmsterdamCoin™ | 100% PoS, Masternodes, Obfuscation, Seesaw on: June 07, 2018, 02:01:35 PM
ams time to grow to get big worldwide

the  price is low now 30 sat .

dev we need  marketing some AMS ATM IN AMSTERDAM AND NL mercants to  acept  ams ...
a lot of work

We first need some more exchanges for AMS coin to increase liquidity, it's a pity it's not listed on some more exchanges as the wallet and blockchain work smoothly after the new update.

The recent launch of the Vostok Platform has triggered rumours and misconceptions about the project within the Waves community. They officially state that the launch of Vostok will not have any negative impact on Waves users. In order to make things completely clear, Sasha  Ivanov will be holding a Q&A session about the Vostok Platform on 7 June (7pm UTC +3). It will be streamed live on their official channels: YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter. So, join the discussion and find out what it’s all about! Ask your questions here: https://app2.sli.do/event/rc8doqbf/ask or in our Telegram chat (https://t.me/Wavescommunity)

can you explain what is vostok, and why it could be a problem ?

or waves support, who does not respond frequently to questions asked in this thread ?

vostok is private servers like ripple that's it .  sasha didn't have any new ideas !!

Vostok will be a ERP like solution with private chains so that major institutions/companies/banks can use it. Waves is a decentralized open blockchain and most institutions dont like this. The technology and code used for Vostok is based on Waves and therefore funded with ICO community funds. There are concerns in the Waves community that Waves holders will not benefit enough from this project and that the team can better focus it's priorities on the Waves platform improvements, rather than launching another project.

Is there any particular reason why most of the tokens being traded in the waves platform so low? I am holding some tokens that is using the platform but i am disappointed with the trading volume..

The DEX is only operational for just over 12 months. Volumes are increasing each day. Smart contracts and atomic swaps activation will increase volumes. Also, not many people know yet about DEXs and the advetnages it gives in general. Have patience and with some mass adoption volumes will grow even more.

I just did some test transactions with coinexchange and all is working good. Thanks all who helped on solving this. Let's go for some more exchanges!
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: May 29, 2018, 08:14:41 AM
Thank you Sasha for this thread. Some Investors are losing hope about the technology of waves. As for me this is a complete blockchain ecosystem that is something unique and can't compare to anyone.
Waves are very promising. I have followed the project for over a year and see how the team creates its platform. Of course the price is not very happy, but some investments take time. I hope that in the future the decentralized exchange of waves will be one of the largest crypto-exchanges in the world.

just tell mw how waves decentralized exchange can be largest crypto-exchanges if team after 2 years didn't add most of top coins we have very lazy team or they can't handle with all waves platfroms(ico and exchange and social network)!

Based on your post, it clearly shows that you did not do proper research on the Waves platform.

1) Waves DEX is only live since April 2017, so a little bit longer than 1 year, not 2 years. Just to give you the correct perspective on how new this tech is.
2) According to the number of github commits, Waves team is on the 7th place of the most active dev teams in the crypto space (https://www.cryptomiso.com/) - I would not call it a lazy team
3) Waves team is currently developing smart contracts and atomic swaps. Once this is deployed on main net, it will allow you to trade peer to peer any token on the Waves DEX. - this will contribute to higher trade volumes
4) Waves algoritn (Waves NG) is one of the fastest blockchain techs available. It can handle around 100 tx/sec. which is around 14 x faster than ETH blockchain. - it's scalable for mass transaction handling
5) Waves fees on DEX is only 0.003 Waves per transaction, that is a little bit more than 0.01 USD with today's value. Compare this with the fees you pay on a centralized DEX as Binance, or Bittrex
6) DEXs in general are much more secure, as no 3rd party holds your funds and the decentralized network is much less vulnerable to hacks, or attacks.

Its great to see people joining the discord channel, thanks everyone so far for joining. We will be slowly adding a lot more over the coming weeks as the community grows.

Just want to suggest a couple of new exchanges the dev could try and get AMS listed on and they are Crex24 which doesn't seem like they want a huge fee for listing coins and the other one is https://maplechange.com which is currently listing coins for free. Also dev if you could come and join the discord community every now and then please. Thank you!

I joined the discord channel, this is a good initiative to grow the community of AMS coin. Staking with the new wallet works really smoothly and i receive regular rewards. From my view, the tech is good, just we need to work on the awareness of AMS coin and try to get listed on more exchanges. Maybe Kees can create some kind of marketing/listing fund, so that part of the rewards can automatically go to this fund?
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: May 24, 2018, 09:55:20 AM
It much more effective to award current (loyal) Waves community members with airdrops with the WCT, or MRT, than to award new community members with the airdrops. It's the golden rule in business, never forget your loyal customers.

Hi Kees,

Wallet is updated to v4.6.0.0 and runs smoothly. Staking is also working, as i already received staking rewards.

Many tanks for your support and let's hope no chain splits anymore.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: May 14, 2018, 11:00:18 AM
Guy I don't know if you noticed but DEX volume is higher day by day. With atomicswap and erc20 tokens things can be much more bigger.

So Waves have exchange like it's Bitrexx and Binance? But this one is much more save because of seed?

Bittrex and Binance are centralized exchanges. This means that they function as a 3rd party between a buyer and seller. The issue with centralized exchanges is trust. You do not know if they can be hacked, go bankrupt, or simply take your funds and run to the Bahamas. Waves has a decentralized exchange (DEX), which allows peer to peer trading without needing a 3rd party. The Waves decentral network (nodes) will verify transactions for only 0.003 Waves as a fee. As there is one common truth on the decentralized blockchain, it cannot be hacked and no 3rd party is in control of your funds.

There are also some other pros for a DEX:

1) low transation fees: a DEX does not need a margin to cover costs that a centralized exchange has (e.g. profit margin, employees, facilities etc.)
2) fast transactions: with the Waves NG algoritm, the DEX can handle mass transactions volumes
3) Secure network: A decentral network of nodes is less likely to fail running, compared to a central server from a 3rd party
4) No central gonvernance: A DEX cannot be shut down by a central goverment or institution

See also the following link that explains how DEX is working.
