21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Havecoin HAV, POS High ROI Masternodes, Darksend, InstantX on: October 30, 2017, 04:01:55 PM
Since this is an old coin with a new re-branding, so what kind of bounty campaign will be held for the opening?
I saw that there are some coins taken by the people.

Yes we will have a bounty coming up shortly.

This coin is fake, its a dead copy of HC, don't get involved with this.

HC isn't rebranding or splitting, this is a clone - take your money and run.

This is not a fake coin, this is the original, HC is the marketing person who split off and is doing HC coin with an "ICO shop" unfortunately they dont have a real dev, if you have invested your money in HC im sorry but he (one person whos not a dev with "quick dirty ICO shop" will very likely be the one to take your money and run.

DARKSEND FUNDAMENTALS

DarkSend provides true financial privacy by obscuring the origins of your funds. All the HAV in your wallet is made up of different “inputs” which you can think of as separate, discrete coins. DarkSend makes use of an innovative process to mix your inputs with the inputs of two other people, without your coins ever leaving your wallet. You keep full control of your money at all times.

Privacy Through Ambiguity

Mixing is the process of joining multiple transactions together, from multiple users, where all unique information about the users is removed from the transaction. Users send tokens to themselves through the system, and at no time do these tokens ever leave the users’ wallet. masternode operators are therefore completely separate from the process of mixing. masternodes simply serve as a transit method for the storing and signing of transactions, allowing users a safe place to initiate the process in an anonymous way.
Privacy is achieved by using denominated amounts of 100, 10, 1 or .1. Each session initiated on a masternode only carries a single denomination, such as having 10x 100 HAV inputs and 10x 100 HAV outputs. Users then individually sign their inputs to the collective outputs, allowing the transaction to be valid once complete and broadcastable.

HAV is an advanced, decentralized and secure digital currency, an enhanced further development of Dash, featuring the Masternode technology, near-instant & secure payments, and superior anonymous transactions. HAV will be on most of the exchanges, making it ideal choice for exchange to exchange transfers. With a fast block time of only 120 seconds, transactions will usually confirm and be successfully processed very quickly. HAV's blockchain is encrypted using the most stable Scrypt algorithm. Scrypt is the most stable and widely used algorithm

HAV has a very determined development team, an active and vibrant community and an ambitious roadmap.

I think its unethical to start a Ponzi.

I think there is no problem ethically with joining one!
27  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Long Term BTC Investment Is No More on: October 22, 2017, 10:43:38 AM
With bitcoin value increasing to new heights every day or week, is long term investment of bitcoin in alts no more? Because with the increase of value in bitcoin, all alts suffer and their value in bitcoin decreases even if they are stable enough to keep their value in dollar sustained.

So all one can earn from such long term trade is a loss in bitcoin.

So, is short term trading alts the only option or even that is too risky for now and holding could be the only option.

And for buying alts, one should use dollar instead of bitcoin.

I think as the BTC price rises 1 sat is going to actually start becoming too high for more and more altcoins (its not quite a problem yet). I hope LTC or other "top 10" coins with a lower $ value hopefully get be used more as a base to offset this problem.
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: It is safe to use virtual machine as a cold storage? on: October 22, 2017, 10:01:10 AM
I've come across with some post about using virtual machine to store your private key and make it as a cold storage wallet for your crypto coins. My question is, it is safer to use VM instead of your original OS? is it advisable to store my bitcoins to a VM? increasing my immunity against the hackers of the private key and wallet? all of your answers are much appreciated and will help me a lot thanks.
Well if your computer is compromised the hacker has to turn on the virtual machine then access your keys through sure, that is an extra step that makes it harder but its by no means fully 'secure'.

One good aspect is you can keep your VM "cold" while you continue to use your PC normally and the VM is then sandboxed in a way, however if your PC is fully compromised the attacker could potentially be able to spin up the VM.

I could say you might get a mass trojan that would scan for known wallet instances and that they would not notice and and therefor not report back any wallets on your PC, since its hiding on a VM. But if someone knew you had a large wallet on a vm and they were trying to target your VM wallet specifically they could probably work their way in.

29  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Becoming a Global Currency on: October 21, 2017, 09:17:30 AM
There were 2 stories about a month ago, in the crypto-news, I thought these was the writing on the wall as it were with regard to this.

It was that Venezuela and Zimbabwe, countries with generally Failed local currency systems, some turn to Bitcoin as an alternative rather than USD/EUR etc.
Basically it seems in these places (at least in some circles) where the local currency is now pretty much failed that BTC is a genuine alternative along side the usual global 'reserve currencies'.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Somebody should make a movie about Satoshi on: October 21, 2017, 09:08:15 AM
Yeah for sure, It would be a great Docu-Drama style movie about bitcoin and its foundation and the mysteries surrounding Statoshi. I'm sure some budding documentary producers already have this in their sites in due to the events of 2017.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Dogecoin headed to Zero? on: October 21, 2017, 09:03:27 AM
I would say as long as it continues to hold a reserve status on some exchanges (i.e its used for trading pairs) it will likely hold above 0.

However if the exchanges that use it as the base for trading pairs drop it, its very possible it can head to 1 sat or below (some coins can actually trade below 1 sat on LTC /ETH etc pairs)
32  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin has defeated gold on: October 21, 2017, 08:01:40 AM
If the total market cap overtakes gold (maybe one day) then we can say "defeated" but I don't think anyone can say gold has been defeated yet.
33  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 3 Way Trading Bot on: October 21, 2017, 07:25:26 AM
I'm wondering if anyone knows of a trading bot that will monitor 3 different currencies that all trade against each other and will be able to spot short term gains.

For example, BTC/USD, BTC/ETH, ETH/USD.  If I was holding $100 USD and sold it for BTC, then immediately sold the BTC for ETH, and finally sold the ETH back into USD and ended up with $101 USD (1% gain).  As the 3 individual markets move, there are bound to be quick (milliseconds) opportunities to do this.  This would obviously be something that only a bot could do.

Has anyone ever seen something like this?

I think the term is "triangular arbitrage", yes there are triangular arbitrage bots, they are difficult to make there is a lot of competition but its possible.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Miningrigrentals vs nicehash on: October 21, 2017, 06:57:36 AM
Nice hash goes up and down in price constantly, Miningrigrentals is pretty static.

If your smart about it you would just program something to use Nicehash when its at a good price.

Alternatively if you can book a fixed price on Nicehash (which is also easy to cancel) and its a better price than Miningrigrentals. Its the way to go.

tl; dr; Yeah Nicehash is generally cheaper.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin price worth $5000 on: October 21, 2017, 05:54:42 AM
I think for any concurrency (or anything like gold stocks, bonds, credit swap derivatives etc) people forget there are only 2 things that matter there are only 2 things that effect what something is worth.. its supply and demand

If something has a limited supply and a decent demand that dictates its price, regardless what it is. Saying something has some "intrinsic value" you forget anything and everything pretty much has a price dictated by supply and demand.

Because demand and supply has priced Bitcoin at well today $6000 I think today its worth $6000 that's just how market pricing give things a price therefore a value.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [HOWTO] compile altcoin for windows on linux using mxe and mingw on: October 17, 2017, 04:09:55 PM

i kinda fixed this issue ,, the fastes way is to get pre compiled secp256k1  for win32, or do it yourself on winodws, copy secp256k1  to ubuntu , copy and merge libs & include in to mxe  i686-w64-mingw32.static folder, and that is it,

at least it works for me

now that was a great idea !!

i just grabbed bitcoin source and used it to compile the secp256k1 libraries for windows.

anyone wants a copy of secp256k1 for win32 here's a link
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5j8d4FSc7drYzlpMVJKbVdISVk

i had a go at win64, this version appears to have succeeded but i havent tested it
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5j8d4FSc7drd3RBUnc0R0pyUE0

Hey you 2 are the best!!  Smiley

It would have taken me days, (or maybe a week with the arduous task of having learn how and then attempt compile it entirely under windows, which I was reading about and considering ...it did not sound fun), Had I did not see your advice kurdcoin (and been able to quickly check it worked with your Library bumbacoin, that was great)

Actually I did a different wallet 3 months ago (before you guys posted) that had this secp256k1 library however the original dev had coded an #ifdef around all the secp256k1 instances so it was possible to optionally exclude it when compiling. I wonder now if he had coded around it just to get it to compile with mingw if needed....

Anyway Thanks so much!

where is the dev of this stupid coin
i looked many times to peoples that staking .they get interest about 0.3 % for 24 h
but i get about 0.075 % and i m online 24/7
whats wrong
my wallet is :LggJTqud68Wi9H8xP5dCwT5P7X4N62yErh

me too this coin make me crazy , i
think LINDA COIN big SCAM  Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry

Wow... I'm quite certain that you don't understand the basic concept that staking on most stake coins is a lottery, just like mining, some days you will get very little and other days you will get much more than average.
Check your average stake % after a week. getting 1/3 of usual in one 24 hour period is normal (as is getting 3x what you normally get on other days)
i want to understand something???
how much do i get in 24 hours (what is the percentage obtained in 24 hours )?

You sir, are a troll. Good luck with that.
And so now your going to need even better luck getting any answers here.

If anyone else wants to click the report to moderator button thanks

We can get 200$ donations and then a overview of masternode from Linda.

Should we register?

Look: https://masternodes.pro

     Yes,please register.

                 Thank you

I'm having problems implementing my masternode in windows. need help.

I receive this errors:

not capable masternode: Unknown. Check debug.log for more information.

GUI: libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile
GUI: libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile
GUI: QCoreApplication::postEvent: Unexpected null receiver

Requirements
- 30.000.000 coins allocated (locked via the masternode.conf, does it exists?)
- port 33820 Inbound (router/firewall and optional windows firewall), you can test by remote telnet to your public IP on this port
- Correct lindacoin.conf file, see examplte

#----
rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
#----
listen=1
server=1
daemon=1
addnode=45.32.77.164
addnode=104.238.159.161
#--------------------
masternode=1
masternodeprivkey=<masternode key>
masternodeaddr=1.2.3.4 (your public IP)

Hope this helps

I corrected linda.conf , did the port 33820 Inbound and tested it in https://www.adminkit.net/telnet.aspx and have exactly 30m coins in my wallet. when I use the command "masternode start" in console the same error appears:
not capable masternode: Unknown. Check debug.log for more information.

GUI: libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile
GUI: libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile
GUI: QCoreApplication::postEvent: Unexpected null receiver

this is my linda.conf (I just replaced the private items):

rpcuser=<username>
rpcpassword=<password>
daemon=1
maxconnections=256
masternode=1
masternodeprivkey=<private key>
masternodeaddr=<my VPS IP>:33820
addnode=104.238.159.161
addnode=45.32.77.164

what am I doing wrong?

I suggest you do exactly what it says, and check the debug log for more information

I also don't understand this: port 33820 Inbound (router/firewall and optional windows firewall), you can test by remote telnet to your public IP on this port

Start the LindaCoin wallet
If you go to https://www.adminkit.net/telnet.aspx
Enter your Public IP address and port 33820

Do you get a connection?

Nope.
"Connection failed: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:33820"

Hi
I would say you dont have port 33820 open, you need to have port 3382 open.
