41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China refuses mining? on: April 11, 2019, 07:25:55 AM
China intends to abandon mining cryptocurrency by 2021.How do You think this news will affect the entire industry and what alternative countries can replace this niche? What is the cost of 1 kilowatt of electricity in your country?
https://uk.reuters.com/article/us-china-cryptocurrency/china-wants-to-ban-bitcoin-mining-traders-say-move-not-a-surprise-idUKKCN1RL0C4

Maybe they will replace bitcoin mining to mining something else in the future.
We don't know if bitcoin still on the top of cryptocurrency or no in 2021, maybe something new will born in near future.

I think they want to stop mining cryptocurrency and if they want to mine the other coins, I think it's not worth mining the other coins since bitcoin has the higher price depends on the other coins. So I think if they want to shut down the mining process, they can do that in anytime and I guess that there is no problem with the other country because they could continue to mining bitcoin and other coins.

they just want to ban it in future, but that could be absolutely temporary decision.
42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The used of Bitcoin in Africa on: April 10, 2019, 09:41:50 AM
Nigeria surpised me a lot. it is really huge volume comparing it with the rest countries.
Still, I wonder what is real usage of that in Nigeria? Doesn't it look like laundering?
43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How big is the role of the government in the development of Bitcoin? on: April 10, 2019, 09:34:57 AM
In my opinion, the government plays a very important role in the development of Bitcoin in a country. For example, a government announces that it will accept Bitcoin in that country, so I'm sure the development of Bitcoin in that country will be very fast!
BTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTC
What do you think, the Government or the community who play an important role in the development of Bitcoin?!

I guess first of all enthusiasts must start lobbying it, spreading it and then government will pay attention to crypto.
Any development could be possible after we proove to the government that we need it.
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can REGULATION Really Be Beneficial to Bitcoin? on: April 10, 2019, 09:33:17 AM
Regulation is a legal basis for determining how Bitcoin can be used. With the regulation, everything related to bitcoin will have a clear rule.
With things like this, investors can make decisions, when regulations support the development of Bitcoin, it will make investors more convinced to invest in Bitcoin.
For me regulation is an urgent matter, when everything has been regulated then everything will be much better.

absolutely, regulation is the only way to adopt btc and crypto in general.
regulation means more confidence of ordinary people in anything.
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: AGAIN: China says it wants to eliminate bitcoin mining on: April 10, 2019, 09:31:16 AM
All governments in the world treat negatively cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin as alpha-currency, they are afraid of financial capital leaving the country's budget in the shade.
My opinion is that China is simply taking another step towards Bitcoin legalization, there can be no complete denial ...

it is just temporary decision, they will change their mind.
anyway China is really closed country, so it is not a surpise
46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Gold vs Fiat on: April 10, 2019, 09:30:28 AM
I do not see the point of this post. Yes, you outline some cons and pros, but is that what really matters?

For me, what matters is if it has legality and if it is readily accepted by everyone. But for now, those are not yet true in bitcoin.

right, it is not a matter of choice actually. btc investors don't pay attention whether it is legal or not, they just want to try it.
while fiat and gold is another league
47  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can We Find Satoshi? on: April 09, 2019, 10:39:12 AM
Thats a big question to us, where is satoshi? I guess with just few hints we cant find him. Its been 9 years back then but no one can prove which person is that named satoshi. Maybe he's still alive but dont want to be public. Live a peaceful life with his family.

it might be not a single person though. I guess he/she/them still working on its development
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Number of Blockchain wallet users are now above 35 million on: April 09, 2019, 10:37:36 AM
it's true that the number of bitcoin wallet users is still very small, but I strongly believe that number will increase over time.

well, some of them were opened and gone for good being forgotten, so real number is even less.
49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I am buying bitcoins - and why I am keeping them. on: April 09, 2019, 10:35:58 AM

Quote

I don’t need to ask permission to spend them
Secondly, I like the fact that bitcoin is “permission-less”.   I won’t ever have to ask permission to spend or use my bitcoins - not that I plan to use them. Everything else I own (in the form of financial assets) is in the hands of a bank or a custodian.  I can’t spend my money without permission from my bank or credit card company.

Bitcoin can’t be “frozen”
If a business deal goes wrong, if someone sues me, if a future wife divorces me and says “I get everything”, if I am friends with a sanctioned political leader - because you survive by being on the side of those in power, - if, if, if, if....... so many things might go wrong.  I could wake up one morning, and find my bank accounts frozen, and my credit cards don’t work.   They can’t ever freeze my bitcoin.   The code is in my head.

well, when it comes to some extraordinary exchanges and your trading with them it could be quite inconvenient.
especially when it comes to withdrawal - if exchange doesn't like your trading - then they can put some limits for your withdrawal, put restrictions.
I faced such situations several times and it really makes a mess.

government is not a threat.
it is the only way to adopt crypto and make it as popular as fiat.
if we still believe that governments are threats then we will not move from this point in crypto adoption
51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT HAVE WE DONE TO PROMOTE BITCOIN MASS ADOPTION? on: April 09, 2019, 10:19:45 AM
This is a good question. The right people to answer would be the Early adopters and Original inhabitants of the forum. Those are the only people who can actually make a difference because they have enough BTC to make a difference. The rest of us can post away all we want, it won't change the fact that majority of BTC is being hoarded due to lack of avenues to spend or to avoid taxation.

Even on our forum, not enough of these people can be found. Maybe due to privacy reasons and the very real risks that early adopters have if they are known to be big hodlers. This is the major impediment in adoption. No matter how many free tutorials spring up, without a spending spree, BTC isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Imagine if the Federal Reserve had decided to hoard all its USD bills and opened a million free tuitions to tell people about the "advantages" of Fiat currency. Would we ever see adoption on the global scale we have now?? No.  Fiat gets adopted because those who produce it and hold it, spread it out in form of wages and as public investments.

Unfortunately, those who produce BTC (Miners), sell it off to maintain operations and earn Fiat. Those who hold it (Early adopters, 1000+ purse-holders), JUST HODL IT. I believe that maybe a jolly few amongst them open Sig campaigns and run Gambling dens here at the forum. That is what maintains the trickle down effect. Where are all the others from the forgotten tombs of BCT?? Fuck knows.. Grin Roll Eyes

This could be a good discussion if a few old people came forward anonymously to actually tell their stories.

what we personally could do is to vote for its regulation when governments put such law under discussion and consideration. we must not keep silent
52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Union Bank of the Philippines Launching Cryptocurrency ATM on: April 08, 2019, 10:29:03 AM
Wow, I was very impressed by this development. A great achievement for the Philippines because it has the courage to be open with crypto currencies. I really appreciate the Philippine government for giving permission and facilitating the issuance of crypto currency ATMs. I hope this will spearhead the emergence of crypto currency ATMs in other countries, especially in the Southeast Asian region.

starting with ATMs - then they will adopt it more and spread it more and more. nice place to visit next vacation  Wink
53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto ‘Won't Turn Out to Be a Complete Delusion' on: April 08, 2019, 10:27:45 AM
Well this is his opinion and probably many were going to be happy knowing about this man that could influence the cryptocurrency popularity. This is indeed needed nowadays in order to stretch the market price from the longest bear trend I guess since I am new in this system.

Anyway, if others would agree with it then it will be completely true that cryptocurrency is not just a delusion but it is at large unstoppable.

sure, everybody has own opinion, that's quite normal.
regarding crypto - well, some believed it and participated on the early stages which brought immense profits. though, we act blindly in many cases like this
54  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Tumblers on: April 08, 2019, 10:20:47 AM
How do sites such as cryptomixer.us, bitcoin fog, etc work? I just used cryptomixer and it split up my money into like 100 wallets. Is there any way I can do this without using a service? Quite interesting

It works by sending your coins to another person's destination and another person's coins go to yours. You can't do it without other people. However, you can use the Lightning Network instead of a service. It is an effective mixer because transactions are done off-chain and go through other people.

well, that could be a solution. still, you need other people anyway.
55  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT HAVE WE DONE TO PROMOTE BITCOIN MASS ADOPTION? on: April 08, 2019, 09:52:02 AM
What we have done or are doing to promote the mass adoption of bitcoin is a pertinent question which needs honest answers. The aim of this right-up is to encourage we bitcoiners to join in the fight for mass adoption, even in our little corner.

Bitcoin like every the traditional currency needs to be widely accepted and used for its value to increase. The economist says that it is the forces of demand and supply (Market forces) that determines the price (Value) of a commodity. When mass adoption is achieved, demand for bitcin will be higher, leading to a price surge. Other than that, Bitcoin is freedom, fast secure and efficient. It is a decentralized currency which you spend whenever and wherever you wish without third party control or regulation, it is the next world currency and should be adopted by all.

For this adoption to be gained effectively, we bitcoiners need to preach bitcoin adoption, practice and live it for the adoption to be swift and as soon as possible. Imagine if 1 million bitcoiners can impart and introduce bitcoin and its potentials to 10 people each, do your maths (1,000,000 * 10= 10m) Now imagine if the 10m people now are able to get extra 10 people each? You see the multiplier effect?
Bitcoin adoption is a task to be achieved by we all. Lets teach our family, friends, colleagues and neighbors of the inherent benefits of bitcoin and how to use it.

Personally, I have used my position as the church treasurer in my church to introduce the use of bitcoin for payment of tithes and offerings. Members who use bitcoins are given my bitcoin wallet to make payments, while others can pay cash.
I run a little computer training institute and all my workers are paid in bitcoins. My students have a 2% fees deduction if they pay in bitcoins.

In my own way, through my efforts, over 40 persons and counting have adopted bitcoin and are actively using them. I hold seminars for them and others as well. Through your efforts too, more people can adopt bitcoin, lets become the droplets of water that makes a big ocean.
Brighten the corner where you are, preach bitcoin, live bitcoin, love bitcoin, use bitcoin untill the whole world adopts it

just to confirm: you teach people how to use crypto for paying for something at church, correct?
56  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Meet the Wealthiest People in Crypto on: April 08, 2019, 09:42:27 AM
We are talking here about people that we DO know. There are a lot of crypto billionaires we don't know about. And we never will. Take Satoshi as an example. He is a crypto billionaire and we will never know who he is...

absolutely. so, the list doesn't reflect the situation itself.
57  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Revolution or a new start? on: April 05, 2019, 09:06:33 AM
Finally US company pay his business tax via BTC so, we can say it's a good start of BTC in future..

I think this company started new revolution so that other company too think of paying tax or payment via BTC. If companies started pay via BTC then other country definatly accept BTC too.

What you guys think of Overstock participate or i can say start revolution in BTC world.

well, that's a great thing to hear! it could be a new stage in btc adoption.
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Meet the Wealthiest People in Crypto on: April 05, 2019, 09:03:32 AM
Hello everyone,
Forbes recently released a listing of the arena’s richest individuals in phrases of cryptocurrency. There are presently 19 people inside the global who personal an equivalent of greater than $350 million in crypto assets. The top owners of cryptocurrency inside the global amassed their wealth in a diffusion of methods, however maximum are founders of large cryptocurrency initiatives and cryptocurrency exchange platforms. Others are both individual traders or a part of funding groups and a few have established very worthwhile cryptocurrency mining operations. the one factor that the richest in crypto have in commonplace is that they are all of the sorts to “HODL” (hold on for expensive existence), that means that they hold directly to their cryptocurrency thru any downturns inside the marketplace and aren’t short to make crypto-to-crypto or crypto-to-fiat trades.
Thank you!

well, it might mean that they buy more crypto when its price drops. it doesn't mean that they made their wealth by hodling crypto only.
59  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: STOP FOLLOWING BITCOIN WITH SENTIMENTS! on: April 04, 2019, 07:04:53 AM
This goes for any asset, manipulation via marketing and game theory is present in any market. People should always research the fundamentals and try to understand the thing they are investing in.

in some cases researching is really complicated, can you suggest latest btc hike?
60  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How to gain trust of users on a new free crypto website? on: April 04, 2019, 06:57:50 AM
Hi there! I own the domain havesomeco.in, and I am working on developing it into a full fledged free cryptocurrency site. I plan to have over 5 different free cryptocurrencies offered, and you'll obtain them through various means.

My question is, and maybe someone has more experience like with an ICO or something similar to my service, how do I gain user's trust? I KNOW I would pay people, but they don't necessarily know that. There are so many sketchy sites out there, and I don't want to appear sketchy because I'm trying to offer a legitimate service.

Another thing - how can I raise money to help put toward development of the site? Preferably in blockchain contributions, but that, again, seems suspicious - I could just run off with the money for all people know.

Thank you.

I checked on your site and I notice its not yet secured, this is very important, people wants to navigate to a secured site, ask your web host to install an ssl, some webhost company offered it free to their clients but there are free ssl also but you need to install it yourself manually.

right, it must be secured, you should be open to the visitors and customers, try to add the website to a service like trustpilot - let people review it
