HashFast sent gmaxwell a refund check in early January;
it was returned.  gmaxwell, if you want another refund check, please
let me know.
Oh hey!  Wow!  I am astonished to see anyone
from hashfast acknowledge my existence after my many ignored letters!
Maybe things are looking up.

To avoid any further miscommunication, I'll just instead invite you to
refund me directly using Bitcoin. This way everyone can tell you made
good on your promises and there will be no risk of he-said-she-said or
certified letters getting lost on someone's desk or whatever has been
going on.

Please pay 97.95849881 BTC to 1MWwwz9gpViE3u7o6Sx6huYNBrHyze8QrA reversing
orders #934 and #1560 and ending HF's obligations to me.

This way everyone will see that you've made good on it, and I can
comfortably tell people that there were some delays and our transaction
didn't go through but that HashFast ultimately lived up to its promises to
me. ... and everyone can check if you've made that payment for themselves
without asking me if HF has fixed it yet.

And if they 100% refund you and nobody else, which is probably a move they might consider, what's happening, next?
2  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: is cloudhashing.com a scam?? on: March 05, 2014, 11:31:27 PM
That's fairly convincing. But is there a mathematical reason why this is a terrible idea? Or is it just a reasonably risky idea?
I do like my puppy.

If you like it, just don't do it.
Look at the news, it's not wise to send your bitcoins to third parties, and even less when they smell like ponzi.

Held BTC for the forum.

Active and very trustworthy global moderator of this forum.

Again, "Trust" is just a great tool for crooks, and I've been suggesting much better ways to handle it, so this can't be considered as trolling.
theymos did give 2 thumbs up to JK, and they are still there.

Anyone joining today might fall for it, because of this completely broken trust system.
4  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Calling out the Bitcoin Foundation Scam. on: March 05, 2014, 11:10:32 PM
Maybe since it is so important, or they just haven't noticed?
Or...
5  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Calling out the Bitcoin Foundation Scam. on: March 05, 2014, 11:07:45 PM
Why would this scam accusation be still bouncing up and down in the wrong sub?
6  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Calling out the Bitcoin Foundation Scam. on: March 03, 2014, 10:48:08 PM
Why is this thread still here, and not in the "Scam Accusations" sub, to which it rightfully belongs?
7  Economy / Lending / Re: [50% REPAID] NASTY MINING: 500GH/s Miner Loan on: March 03, 2014, 10:25:21 PM
I accept your offer of payment of 8 BTC in consideration of settling the debt of 10BTC between Yogafan00000 and Nasty Mining. Payment to be made no later than March 4, 2014 9pmEST.
Slowing down, it seems...  Embarrassed
But if people are happy to trade 10BTC for 8BTC, I guess that's a good business.
8  Other / Meta / Re: Questions to theymos about the $1,000,000 forum software project on: March 03, 2014, 10:20:25 PM
Yeah can't imagine why theymos isn't rushing in here to participate in stimulating discussion of this caliber.
I'm sorry, BabBear, but I'm also pretty surprised theymos didn't take 5 or 10 minutes to completely shut this thread down, and instead chose to let it live on.
Apart from the obvious trolls, there are quite a few legit questions, still unanswered.
Maybe we can make a compilation of those valuable questions?

I'll just start with one.

- Can we have a precise, specified, delivery timeline?

(https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497523.0 is automated, now! Or is it?)

9  Other / Off-topic / Re: Name some good stratergy games on: March 03, 2014, 09:59:51 PM
*The Banner Saga - Interesting tactical turn-based with emphasis on story, and it's a good one. Fantastic artwork. Low replayability, awful end boss, story occasionally goes off on tangents (I'd guess to make the events in the sequel seem more fluid and meaningful), some mechanics were made to seem important but didn't meaningfully affect gameplay (will leave you to discover for yourself). http://stoicstudio.com/
I was finally a bit disappointed, the game is too short for the price they're asking.
When it drops to ~5$, it'll be a must have, though, for the unique scrolling-game-telling, nice story, and turn based fights.
But paying 20$ for 10 hours of game-play seems a bit off to me.

Not really strategy, but I enjoyed M&M 10 Legacy, which kept me busy for much longer.
If you enjoyed MM3 and World of Xeen as much as I did, this is worth a shot, even though it's still inferior, unfortunately.
10  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: February 22, 2014, 02:40:29 AM
You should all save this to your hard drives. They basically say that the full backlog, including MPP, will be delivered before/in april, after which they will shoot the Evo 3.
We all know that's a lie, but having one more blatant lie in the dossier can't hurt.  Grin
11  Economy / Securities / Re: Weexchange/Bitfunder User Deposit Addresses. Where are the coins "gone"? on: February 22, 2014, 02:32:40 AM
5000+? It would be unlikely that those were the funds of one private person only because it was practically the who weexchange wallet. But i dont see where you got the 5k from.
I deducted (apparently wrongfully) from misread and imagined from klabaki post that 19ENd was tied to a known address of Ukyo (one he used for refunding the 6%).
I'm sorry (and sorry I spent so much time, and bothered so many people, too  Undecided)
12  Economy / Lending / Re: MtGox hold my 2.47 hostages, any chance for 2BTC loan? on: February 21, 2014, 12:43:12 AM
investor will recieve proofs of my identity, which force me at any case to repay the loan.
Cute, but false.
Fail.
Next account, I guess...
13  Economy / Securities / Re: Weexchange/Bitfunder User Deposit Addresses. Where are the coins "gone"? on: February 21, 2014, 12:30:24 AM
It is almost 100% sure now that 5000+ coins went from an address owned by Ukyo to an addresss owned by DeaDTerra (for IceDrill investment).
14  Economy / Lending / Re: Locked keys in car, between jobs, need 1 Btc fast, pay 10% interest. on: February 19, 2014, 12:53:18 AM
Taking loans to cover previous unpaid loans is spiral down, and the number-one tool that banks are using today to keep everyone a slave.
Please get out as soon as possible, even if it means a small sacrifice.

oh no no no, i don't need a loan to cover the previous one! i'll be getting paid in plenty of time to pay back the original loan without issue. there's no problem there. i just need a little help covering gas and groceries until that first paycheck.

Multiplying concurrent loans is about as bad. Are you sure you cannot wait for the first one to be repaid before you need the next one?

I sincerly do not beleive you're trying to scam, I'm replying 100% to try and help you, here. I've always beleived loans are not a healthy solution when survival is at stake. Loans are for investments. Not survival. And even then, I'm not sure I'm happy with that.

I, at a point (after going down the spiral too), made the choice to NEVER borrow anything from anyone, suffered from that, but recovered. And sticking to that "way of life", now. That's not easy, but that's possible, and spending only what the society actually thinks you're worth is just... Fair? Grin

16  Other / Meta / Re: prohibit self-moderated groub buy sale topics on: February 19, 2014, 12:17:52 AM
here are the most scams happening.
You should visit the custom mining hardware sub, or the securities one, maybe.  Grin

use the feedback system to warn others.
Excellent joke.  Smiley
Feedback system is just the most powerful tool ever designed for scammers, right now, and NOTHING else.

All in all, a simple feature would be sufficient.
Self-mod threads should have a red background (instead of the easily missed header today), and there should be a warning/sticky : "everything bad happening when anything red was involved, is on your responsibility."

we are currently working through our backlogged inquires.  We have caught up and would like to apologize for the delays you have experienced with our reply time.
Seriously? I mean, they really sent this piece of self-contradictory lies to everyone?

EDIT : Unless, of course, they cleared the backlog within the time it took to write the first sentence.  Grin
18  Other / Meta / Re: Questions to theymos about the $1,000,000 forum software project on: February 18, 2014, 11:36:30 PM
Theymos is free to make use of the funds as he best sees fit, in my view.

All depends on if you donated to theymos personally or to a community forum.
My guess is that most donators thought they were providing funds for a rising community, not giving it away to its current administrator.

Oh yeah... I'm not John K and I haven't been given access to the database yet but will need it very soon. We will follow standard ethics for private data and not transmit information to the public. This will indeed be the highest of priorities.

You mean a full, direct access to the whole database?
If so, I hope you are currently posting here through a vpn...

Please show us the transaction(s) where the $350,000 payment was sent.

If that was a scam (which I don't beleive it is at that point, to be honest, and I do have an easy trigger), I'm 99.99% sure that theymos would have sent a fake TX to cover up, that's really basic stuff. He can post a txID, I'll still be as dubious as before. Pretty useless, in my opinion.
19  Economy / Securities / Re: Weexchange/Bitfunder User Deposit Addresses. Where are the coins "gone"? on: February 17, 2014, 07:29:52 PM
... 19ENd is DeadTerra / IceDrill address.

Superb, thank you for confirming, Transisto.
Next step, shoot a PM to DeaDTerra, I guess.
20  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Obligatory I'm not dead or running post on: February 16, 2014, 09:25:16 PM
Does anyone ever confirmed his REAL identity? Does anyone ever confirmed he exists outside this forum? Otherwise you all could be dealing with someone you think you know but in reality is just a fictional character created by someone.
I can't picture any fictional character giving back 1000BTC before going MIA again.
You should probably be worried more than suspicious, here.  Wink
