1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / The return of ICOs on: May 25, 2020, 04:32:01 PM
Guys, do you think that ICOs could make a come back? I do and here is why. Every year dozens of companies raise money in Silicon Valley for startups, many pre revenue. Also, with the economy injured from nCov19, it would make sense to allow for new economies. This would include letting new startups in Blockchain raise money, and imo if they are well vetted, and trusted by the community, they should be allowed to raise money. What do you think?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Reddit is using Ethereum - VISA patent on: May 25, 2020, 03:21:23 PM

What do you think about Reddit using Ethereum for its currency?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin's future. on: December 09, 2019, 12:55:58 PM
I would just stick to the top 50 or so and hodl the best of the best, enterprise has its own blockchain solutions now, so it just depends on demand of the product. If nobody uses it for anything how could the coin value ever rise unless its temporarily pumped? I see companies like Tezos doing a lot of marketing and outreach, ETH is going nowhere, but the smaller caps are mostly garbage.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the ETF be approved? on: July 23, 2018, 04:49:24 AM
Look, the more they attack it, the stronger it gets. So they can shoot down the ETF and it will still continue moving forward and people will continue to hold it for the long term.
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin at 25000 possible? on: July 23, 2018, 04:46:24 AM
Yes it will go to 25K. It's just a matter of time. When, I can't say but anyone who is smart enough to wait will be greatly rewarded.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why ICOs fail on: July 23, 2018, 04:40:31 AM
They fail because they planned to fail from the beginning and are tricking people away from their ETH and BTC. Sorry to say.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins for hold on: July 23, 2018, 04:38:02 AM
I'm holding ICX, ZRX, WAN, ETH, and a few other but mostly BTC. I do think VeChain is pretty solid, along with Ontology. Not sure yet about NEO, it's pretty much the same people as ONT behind it.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which is best coin for long term hold? on: July 23, 2018, 04:33:28 AM
Obviously Bitcoin/Ethereum and I also like Monero, ZRX, I do have some ICX but not sure about it's progress.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins BETTER than BITCOIN? on: July 23, 2018, 04:32:10 AM
No, nothing beats Bitcoin.
10  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you feel about meditation? on: July 23, 2018, 04:29:35 AM
It's really the art of Zen, self discipline, acceptance. Important to practice if possible.

Eat food from Farmer's Markets, focus on vegetables and fruits vs meats. Work out, ride bikes, walk, try not to get angry or lose your temper, listen to music that relaxes the mind, do not engage in battles that cannot be won, let the ignorant remain ignorant, they will not change. Those who change must change themselves. Read, learn, let go.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin become centralized sometime in the future? on: July 23, 2018, 04:03:41 AM
As Bitcoin mining is partially controlled by Chinese miners, I have a feeling that sometime in the near future, Bitcoin can become centralized if no solution against this is proposed.
How do you know that is partially controlled by Chinese miners? Every time I read some news about mining, price, exchange etc 99% of the cases mention Chinese. And the majority of the time after some months/year we find out that Chinese have nothing to do or have a minimal impact of this or that situation. They're becoming like something mythological...

Yes.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Invest in ICO or buy BTC? on: May 22, 2018, 06:40:58 AM
What ICO are you going to invest in? You have to generally be wealthy to invest in ICO's now, lol. They only accept institutional investors.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is it better to invest in bitcoin or ethereum ? on: May 22, 2018, 06:39:48 AM
Bitcoin long term, I truly believe it. BTC
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Who will win the crypto KING of 2018? on: May 22, 2018, 06:38:54 AM
I think it's going to be Bitcoin. We are also going to see continued adoption of Lightning Network, and Rootstock helping improve Bitcoin. I think Ethereum still faces a ton of problems like scalability for one thing.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BEST ICO for 2018 on: May 22, 2018, 06:29:29 AM
It's hard to say the best of 2018, because each month hundreds of ICO's are launching. Also, the top tier projects are being offered to super wealthy investors only, it's not like it was a year ago. Airdrops are all that's offered. I do think there are a ton of great projects that will come out on exchange that may be good like 0chain. Unfortunately the really good ones will be sold privately to elite investors.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ICOs are profitable but not always be the case on: May 22, 2018, 06:16:40 AM
For the guy who said he made $1M on ONT, they never had an ICO, um, so how did you do that? ICO's such as Icon and Wanchain did insanely well. The thing is, ICO's are no longer available for the retail investor. What is available are Airdrops which generally suck. The Institutional investors are beginning to centralize the Blockchain investing space day by day. The Startups in the space will only deal with wealthy investors, which does not seem to represent what the space stands for. I think this may end up backfiring at some point because it excludes too many people. Most ICO's now hold private sales and end up selling out to super wealthy investors and the little guys like you sitting at home on your computer are chasing scraps (Airdrops).

I felt 2017 was a great year for ICO investing and this year is moving fast towards centralization, defying what Bitcoin was meant to stand for. Many of the Blockchain startups are focused on enterprise, and the traders themselves get excited when a centralized organization is partnering with a Blockchain startup. People freely scan their passports to strange companies demanding every detail. The companies are now deciding to hedge their risk by on boarding the wealthy into these projects. YouTube influencers are also reaping the benefits of juicy deals.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The Alts are being held back by BTC on: May 22, 2018, 06:09:08 AM
I think there is just an ICO epidemic and people with scam ideas are flooding the space, or it's a battle of Blockchain dominance.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Finally spring bull run is coming? on: April 06, 2018, 09:18:09 PM
There will indeed be another bull run because the wealthy investors need to bring the prices up to cash out off of the weak hands (the majority) so then they will orchestrate another crash again to take away all of the Bitcoin. So just be prepared to sell at highs as the wealthy people controlling the market are doing.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will ICO die in 2018? on: April 06, 2018, 09:14:58 PM
Well what has happened is they will be closed to only the rich/elite of the world. Only the wealthiest people will be able to get into them. Don't believe me then go research the ICO market. They will be exclusive investments to elite crypto hedge funds servicing the extremely wealthy. They are doing this right now as we speak (Pantera, Blockchain Capital, Polychain, Sequoia, BlockTower) they want exclusive creme de le creme clientel.
