So, the title is pretty much self explanatory. If you have an x-amount of ETH, would it be more wise to trade that for BTC and hold BTC or will ETH rise faster then BTC?
Example:
If you have 1000 USD worth of ETH - that's 3,5 ETH or so. 300 usd per ETH.
If you trade this for BTC, you have 1000 USD worth of BTC, so 0.15 BTC or something around 6000 usd per BTC.
Which one is more likely to make your 1000 USD go 2000 USD? Will ETH see 600 USD any time soon - or let me ask it differently -> is it more likely that BTC goes 12000 USD then 600 USD per ETH? What do you guys think and what would you do?
To make a double money in the current situation seems to require long-term investment and in long-term investments any thing can happen. But I prefer to hold the ETH because the current price is quite cheap and I'm sure ETH goes 600 usd faster then 12000 usd per BTC |

Hi Guys, in January of 2017 I invested $ 450 in bitcoin, I was very scared because it was the only thing I had at that moment, when I bought the price of bitcoin it was $ 1050 and under the price at $ 760, my fear was greater because I lost money, but not sold, I wait and now the price is $ 6400, if I divide 6400/1050 gives me 6.09, it means that my initial investment multiplied by 6.1 approximately.

Like most of ppl on this forum, I believe in the monetary crash to come and I want to take my savings out of the bank. I invested in about 7 different crypto already but only a certain amount that I can allow myself to loose in case of a crypto collapse. Not brave enough (or crazy) yet to put all my savings in crypto.
But I definitely want zero $ on my bank account soon, and I was wondering what would be the safest way to hold your money (buy lands, invest in gold, hide it under the bed, invest it a myriad of different businesses...). Thoughts?
Buying land this is good choice in my country because it's a safe and profitable way, but must have enough capital and expertise to choose potential land. Personally I have constraints in this investment sometimes there is a potential land but I don't have enough capital |

Hey guys, i am currently investing 10% of my total assets (other 90% are stocks and bonds) in cryptos and i hope that i am not to late  (i gonna bring this money within the next 6 months to the market using dollar cost averaging). I wanna handle these 10% like i do with my stock investments: buy and hold with a algo based rebalancing strategy. I want to split the money as follows: 50% Bitcoin 20% ETH 10% Litecoin 5% Monero 5% BAT 10% ICO Picks (gambling) with an estimated holding to the next rebalancing period. What do you guys think about this allocation and buy and hold strategies in general? I am also very open for different allocations from long term investors. Would be great if you share your long term portfolios and strategies! Greets and Thanks! Although I don't really understand about the advantages of BAT. But I think your allocation is good buy and hold strategy for me is a long term investment the most important thing in this strategy is buy on a cheap price and for that I need to see the history of price movements on charts |

It's hard to avoid that, basically HYIP was created to commit fraud to their members. The purpose of the HYIP site is to lure people make an investment then take money from members, you will never know when the HYIP owner will take your money
Investing in HYIPs is very risky and the best way to avoid being scammed by HYIP is stop investing in HYIP

how are they exactly scamming you? I've joined two that you needed to send 0.002 eth that's like 60 cents. If I am going to get scammed I would lose 60 cents. Apart from that, how am I going to be scammed? Will my eth address in someway be compromised or something??
0.002 eth that's a small amount,but what if 3000 people donate? 0.002 ETH x 3.000 = 6 ETH Generally airdrop E token can reach 6.000 participants,maybe they will send a token to the participants,but can you ensure that donations from the participants will be used to buy order in the market? no one can be sure of that They reasoned to avoid cheaters on airdrop,actually many ways to avoid it,why should use the donation way?are they lazy?and I think the donation system is ineffective to avoid spammers,what if spammers make lots of addresses and make donations? most of the recent airdrop has a standard idea,no innovation and just nonsense |

i tried to calculate how much would i make from bitcoin mining using an antminer s9, and i don't think it's worth it for me as the cost of electricity is high where i live, which is in the UK (it's 20 cents approx), i make like $300 profit a year. and obviously i can't use faucets as that will take years to get one bitcoin. so is the only way to even get any value from bitcoin is to buy it and hold it on for another few years? but it is a risky investment due to the price. or should i invest in new currencies that are cheap right now and have potential to grow to $4k a coin?  It has almost the same risk. You buy antminer s9 and doing the mining is also risky because Bitcoin prices determine your mining profits. I think it's better to buy Bitcoin because there are many things you can do. such as trading or investment |

Before Bitcoin hardfork i think the price will be up because users expect to get BitcoinGold from hardfork they hope to make profit from Bitcoin Hardfork like the free BitcoinCash incident and after hardfork I think the price will go down |
