Unfortunately, it is indeed falling at this moment and that is probably caused by the cancellation of the segwit2x that was supposed to happen th month. But we should not be worried about it but rather take advantage of the backdrop and invest to Bitcoin. It woll eventually increase just like what usually happens whenever its market value is falling. I've invested all of my last money to BTC at the price $5650, but btc still falling down and scaring me a little. I'm still put my faith in it and hope the situation would more bright in some next day. What do you think ? can you give me an advice or maybe just your analysis? |

If this topic is just open today. I would say, this is the great time to buy bitcoin and hold it for half of month because the price now very good for investors. According to some comment above, I still have believe in BTC for many good reasons, so I buy all at 5650 and hope get a good profit from that. Cheer!

It could go back to where it started, or skyrocket still. It's really up to the people with the disposable assets to throw at it.
Competition from alternatives should be the biggest factor long term.

Everyone could predict for the price of bitcoin in the future. The price is falling because of many reasons. But that much decrease is hard to be happen. Its would easier to say bitcoincash's price will go up to more than 3k in next some day. Why? Because at this time, miners are leaving btc for its diffs, and move to BCH for its rocket price. And I think this situation just last for some day and will back to normal after BCH segwit. |

I think it could be some kind of HYIP monitors with high interest. And if so, you should stop doing that. |

I wonder if it is what I understand.
Right now, major miners, including JihanWoo, are not mining BTC and concentrating all their hash power on the BCH. So, the BTC network is currently suffering from normal transsactoin, and the BCH is continuing to be pumped. right?
By the way, is the mining things going to increase 'profit rate' if there are fewer competitors? Then, if the competitor is small in BTC like now, is "the other miners" get a much bigger profit when they mined BTC now?
Or until the difficulty is adjusted up to two weeks, "other miners" do not get that benefit for up to two weeks? When major miners return in two weeks time, are they also getting more BTC because of the lower difficulty?
I've some delight after reading your topic, because in past few hours, I really don't know why the bitcoin price is dumped too fast and followed by increasing unconfirmed transaction number. And I think BCH will always the coin for "Whale" to make their profit by bumping it, it could increase more before its segwit but in long term, miners would move back to BTC because everyone know that, BTC still remand top. |

Lets look at the blockchain's chart of bitcoin.  In just about 01 year recently, bitcoin price has had its "crazy" increased. If its an altcoin with small volume, I can easily understand and accept that price could be x10 x20 times because they don't need much money to pump. But this is bitcoin, which has a very large volume at the time before It's went up. Some reason could be from news, but with that such amount of money, I think its not just because of good news of bitcoin, maybe something else. So this topic is for newbie and profession to discuss about that. Is this a balloon of bitcoin price and going to explode? anything else that make the price going up like that? What peak do you predict for the price of bitcoin at the end of 2017? (10 months ago, I predicted bitcoin will peak at 5000$ this year, and ofcourse, that was just for fun but now its 50% more than my prediction!!) |

Although keeping a noticeable amount of MNX but I personally think that minexcoin hardly get a good reputation and development. I understand that minex team has done very hard but (maybe) not good enough, because the part of result has showed in their ICO time with just about 250 BTC raised and I don't think that will be a good signal for traders. That's my idea, please help me out if I have something wrong.
