After a successful meeting today with Dopey (Founder of DopeCoin) we are happy to announce the official partnership of our two exciting cannabis projects.

DopeCoin has had this in the works for some time and have finally revealed SmokeExchange.

WHAT IS THE SMOKE EXCHANGE?

The Smoke Exchange is the worlds first self-serve advertising platform for the marijuana industry. This digital marketplace will enable advertisers and publishers to buy and sell advertising space on a real-time auction based bidding platform.

HOW WILL SMOKE FIT IN?

The Smoke Exchange will be partnering up with the Smoke Network and will work together to display advertising on the Smoke.Network platform. Seeing the Synergy yet between cannabis projects?

Hey Dopey,  Anxious here from Smoke.Network. .

We would love to get involved with this project and chat more about the Synergy between this ad network and our social network.

Literally, messaged him in Slack about this. Be cool to see if there is anything there.

Dopey has me on Skype.

I hope you will all like it, as we are not competing with any current cannabis projects. We hope to be able to grow with the Alliance and be a strong part of the cannabis crypto world! ...  Join us.

I think the best way is to live somewhere where only that language is spoken. You get forced to learn real quick.

I lived in Tanzania for a year and learned the basics of Swahili in about 3 months.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: I have lost money at BTC-e but still continue to work on my startup on: July 31, 2017, 01:09:30 PM
Good luck with the project.
I also lost few ETH at btc e.
Sad to hear it, I sympathize with you and all those who have lost money there. All did not expect that the greatest exchanger could fall. The confidence of the exchanger is reduced, hopefully not the same case occurs.
IMHO the next level is decentralized exchanges like:
  • Waves DEX
  • NXT Asset Exchange
  • BitShares Asset Exchange
  • Lykke

Does anyone have a good experience with decentralized exchanges?

I am planning on using the bitshares DEX for my project and run the coins as a User Issued Asset.  My team and I like the easy multisig hierarchy functions built in and the decentralized aspects of the exchange.

I have some experience using the dex before and it works great on bitshares. Very fast and reliable. The only small problem I could find with it is there is no real hardware wallet for bitshares assets so have to rely on multisig to secure funds.

Nice plan.  I have a project I am busy building that will be on EOS. I would like to see your progress with these blockchains.

Good luck man.

you should be aware that it is likely that you wont make any profit at all, if you mine using your PC.
Can you walk me through that, i didn't understood why ?

Many thousands of people began mining and then started buying big rigs with graphics cards and all sorts of things to scale their mining operations.  One pc will most likely not have the computing power to mine anything as you will be competing with these mining farms. So if you want to mine for profit you must invest into more than just one standard PC

The previous poster is saying if you spend $10 a month on electricity running mining on your computer you will get less than $10 in cryptocurrency so you may as well buy $10 of which coin you want to mine rather and save your computer from burning power.

When mining your computer will get hot and run at full speed. (If you live in a cold place maybe this is ideal and you can heat your home to offset the money spent on electricity. )

Good luck learning more.

I would be interested to see how this goes and how many those in this thread finish reading in a year.

I knew an English major that used to read about 50 in a year (1 a week on average) and much more scholarly reading and writing between that. .. but this was her job and passion.

It would be interesting to note how much reading on average we do tho, without needing to read books, between our favorite blogs, forums such as here and reddit, reading medium posts, white papers and some of us even reading code.
13  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why do people become vegan? on: July 31, 2017, 12:21:48 PM
This question is relevant to me as I just turned myself to be a vegan when January started. Though I am not a hundred percent vegan, I am really trying not to eat those meat. My only reason is just I realized how brutal it is to kill animals in order for me to eat their meat. I feel pity for those slaughtered animals. For some people, it would be just nothing but for me, their lives matter.

Okay.  You can't be anything other than 100% and call yourself vegan.  Strictly speaking, eggs, milk and honey are out.  What are you eating that disquLifies you?

There are these two instances (first in January and the second just this February) that I have to eat from a fastfood since that was already late at night and I didn't have my dinner yet. Too bad, there were no available veggies in that fastfood.

Yeah, it can be difficult to find vegan food when you're on-the-road.  I know.  I'm not vegan but a special someone near and dear to me is and sometimes finding food is tricky.  McDonalds french fries are not vegan which actually shocked me.  If you're going to be serious about it, you have to do some research.  I found a web site that helps when we're travelling.
Sometimes it's not possible to find a restaurant - even fast food - and then you have to get creative and make sure to read the labels.  Many flat breads are vegan (stay away from naan bread) and you can find hummus or peanut butter almost anywhere (or nuts in general for that matter).   We stopped at a little gas station/variety store while on a road trip last summer and ended up eating watermelon (I always carry a knife), apples with peanut butter and potato chips.
If you have access to a microwave, there are vegan options in the frozen food section - Amy's is our go-to entrée while on-the-road but be careful, some of their entrees are vegetarian.  Microwave-in-bag veggies are awesome too.
Keep in mind that veganism is not just about food.  Good luck.

Apples with peanut butter?  For reals?  I gotta try this.  Sounds like a budget version of a sweet apple pie. Cheesy just missing a dash of cinnamon and some crunch factor.   My gf has recently gone vegan. (not because of the hate for animal killing or anything but because she is trying a diet that will increase her energy levels and stabilize her moods. )
14  Other / Off-topic / Re: Block Label - What marketing budget? Our concept is the marketing budget! on: July 31, 2017, 12:14:50 PM
This is a cool project.  I do not want any free tokens or anything like that (Rather give those out to people more keen on them... [fans and listeners] )

I would dig to throw one of my tracks into the mix. Cheesy  Sorry maybe I didn't read the thread correctly but how do I submit my music?

Here is one of my more recent compositions.  I often release under different names and my music has never been more than a hobby. But perhaps you like it and wish to sign me up : https://soundcloud.com/blockchain-project/this-is-gentlemen
15  Other / Off-topic / Re: Electric cigarettes on: July 31, 2017, 11:31:28 AM
I have a lot of friends that have made the switch.  They then tend to end  up in two groups. Ones that get highly addicted to vaping and those that go back to cigs.

The problem with vaping is that :

1 . It can get seriously addictive as well (because the flavors taste so good and there is an endless variety. )
2. some juices can have just as much nicotine in them than cigs
3. Breathing in hot vapor all the time instead of oxygen cannot be great for the lung or brains.

Some can manage to get themselves weaned of cigs and only vape sometimes tho.  I guess it will depend upon you and your willpower.
16  Other / Off-topic / Re: To Good to be True on: July 31, 2017, 11:17:43 AM
Apart from all cloud mining being somewhat of a scam (As they rely on the altcoin prices to go up to make you a profit, and it that case you could have just bought the coins to start with and probably end up with more. . . )

But these 'free' hashes they give out wil only make a few cents a day most likely... And they seen as 'advertising cost' to the company as it will make you go to their site every day or two to see if its 'working' ,, that will perhaps intice you to buy more hashing from them.

Be careful and do not be tempted to buy any if you plan on trying to get free coins out of this. .

My friend used to do this and then send the coins out of faucets and free mining to dice games to gamble for free. Not sure he ever made anything tho or ever got lucky with this strat.  Cheesy
17  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you vape? on: July 31, 2017, 11:11:21 AM
I smoke a lot of cannabis in joints.  I tried to switch to vaping extracts and things but for me, a joint is so satisfying and timeless. I love rolling up a bad boy and then letting it rip while I read the forums or chat with advisors.

For my personal holdings, I have passed on cryptic clues to family.  If they manage to crack it, great, I taught them well.  If not, a gift to my crypto brothren. HODL on.

My business, however, has a lawyer that could access it through a multi sig with other partners.

20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rothschild Just Bought $210,000 Worth Of Bitcoin on: July 30, 2017, 10:14:32 PM
Def, not the real Rothschild firm. IMO. Otherwise, they would most likely add a few zeroes to that.  There are many firms with similar names tho due to similar surnames and even just firms trying to trick the public and I am pretty sure it was just one of those.
