Tell me this Etana custody thing is not the solution that you guys finally came up with after all this time and that it is a temporary bandaid?
Etana had the whole kicked off Nz list issue not to mention its quite small. It is a custody service and a 3rd party meaning someone else holds my money and they could go bye bye with it.
On top of the above concerns, you have to apply all over again for KYC with them and answer a 6 page questionnaire that is intrusive as hell. All you've done here is passed off your banking responsibility to a 3rd party, washed your hands off and if anything goes wrong you would claim you are not responsible.
Why is it just you guys that are unable to get their banking in order when all your competitors have gotten theirs?
sampam, Kraken’s collaboration with Etana Custody is not a temporary solution, however we are always looking at adding additional funding partners and options. Please note that Etana has not been kicked off of any list, as they are fully legal and compliant in every jurisdiction they have a presence in. We have had more than a year of due diligence put into Etana and are happy to offer an additional funding option to our clients. The new funding method does require opening an account with a third-party, however clients are not obligated to use this funding method if they do not wish to. Our push to offer additional funding options does not stop here, as we will continue to explore and offer additional funding options to our clients. Just as with our other banking partners, we work very closely with them to resolve any issues on our client’s behalf and would do so with Etana-related issues as well. Any update? Another month has passed by, 6 months of it in this thread so far.
Sampam, At the moment, the team doesn't have any news or updates regarding USD funding for international individuals. As your team appears to be utterly incompetent at establishing banking relations perhaps consider engaging a specialist firm like https://www.healyconsultants.com/It has gotten beyond ridiculous how everyone else has managed to improve and fix their banking side and yet 1.5 years later and you guys haven't managed to do anything. |

Just wanted to say that I'm glad for having Kraken as my main exchange! The incident with Cryptopia made me realise that!  Keep going strong guys! LOL, same case here. Through Kraken got a difficult time before, they rock solid now. I like when the things work as they should be

This would be good and about time. How far away is it? Also, how can we ensure that what happened to Quadriga is impossible at Kraken? That no single person's disappearance/death or bad intentions stuffs everyone and the exchange. And no empty cold wallets and other shady happenings. Kraken is too big to have the same scenario happen. There is not only 1 guy mainly managing everything alone from IT to management. They have many workers with a much complex structure. You wouldn't expect this to happen to an entity holding 200M in assets either.... Nor for it to be a one man team. |
