1  Economy / Scam Accusations / Update: Poloniex not letting me withdraw my funds - ~46k on: August 08, 2017, 05:06:48 PM
Hello, this is an update post regarding my other post about Poloniex holding my funds of ~46k.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2067490.msg20639612

First of all, I'd like to thank each and everyone of you for supporting me and taking my side throughout this case.

Ever since that post I haven't heard a single word from Poloniex's team, there was no reply to any of my tickets nor to my PMs on here.
If I don't hear anything from them in the next 3 business days, then I will be, unfortunately, forced to take legal action towards this, since that'd be an obvious sign that my money has been stolen and they aren't trying to cooperate.

If anybody has any information that could help me, then please leave a comment or message me, again, thank you all.

I feel your pain cause I went through the same BS you are going through right now
poloniex decided to stop dealing with my country and asked me to provide them my wallets addresses to pay me my money and then close my account
their support after that ignored me , and after more than 65 days finally they processed my withdrawal
here is my story if you are interested in that https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1942358.0

so all you can do is waiting , cause I tried reaching them many times and all failed

Damn man that took much time..
It's been over 65 days since i first contacted them i think and haven't heard a word from them...at least you got them back, i don't see any future with my money.

Hello, for as long as I can remember I've been messaging Poloniex's support team asking them to close my account and let me withdraw my funds with no hope, they just don't reply to me at all, even though in their new terms it says if someone disagrees with the new terms they'd close their acc and send all their funds to their wallet, but they just ignore all of my support tickets.

The money I have in my account is all I have and them refusing to let me withdraw it and having it stuck there is just completely stupid..

I hope some of you can help me with this, and hopefully I've put some spotlight on Poloniex..

Thanks.

This is the same stuff that they have been doing for ages now. Suspending people's accounts without notice and then telling them to contact support. When you do contact support though nobody is able to respond to you for some reason.

Can you please let us know where it says that you are able to do it? I don't think it's true personally because then any hacker can close down the account and get the coins out of the account. The whole point of suspending accounts in the first place is to prevent hackers.

Take this as a lesson, though. I feel bad for you, but please in future do not store everything you own in an exchange no matter how trustworthy it looks. Take for example BTC-e. A lot of people had the majority of their cyber earnings in BTC-e codes, and the future is quite uncertain.

Wow, 44k is no joke.

Unfortunately, that's how poloniex is at the moment. There is virtually zero customer support. It's really unprofessional of them to not even try to help one of probably their bigger clients holding 14 BTC on their site.

Did you reset your password, enter your password wrong too many times, or anything that might have triggered this suspension? Also can you link us to the terms and conditions where it says that you are able to just close your account and get the funds?

I don't think that you can currently do anything more than just being patient and pray for the best though, trollbox has been removed so you can't even complain there.

Hi, thanks for your replies.

Nope, I didn't do anything to lead to this freeze, it was completely random .

Also this is what I'm talking about "If you do not agree to any of these changes, you may contact support and request an account closure.", I can swear it said something about withdrawing funds but I guess they changed it now.

Also, I wasn't holding my coins on there, I was just trading and when I was done, boom, that happened.
