61  Economy / Economics / Re: Buying an ASIC for mining on: November 24, 2017, 02:48:04 AM
So after having some looks at bitcoin mining and setting up nicehash on my pc (single gtx 970) to have a look at how it works (ofcourse I won't be able to make any profit because of power consumption), I wondered if buying an Antminer S9 and starting to mine at home with a powercost of 0,26$/KwH would be profitable or will I just lose my investment.

As long as your mining device can pay for the electricity cost and have a little profit then you can continue mining. Think of it as getting a bitcoin from nowhere. even if you are just getting a little fraction of the coin every month if the price goes high after several years you can compute your earning by that time.
62  Economy / Economics / Re: Algorithms nothing else on: November 24, 2017, 02:44:32 AM
We only shifting the simple work to robots and create on other places new.
There will be still stuff to do which a robot will not able to do it. But not in 50 years.
Read the book Homo Sapiens. This guy write it just how it would be in 2050 and above.

Everything works with algorithms. Even a Police officer, lawyer or Doctor could be replaced by a machine.

I agree that more and more jobs are going to get replaced by machines ata faster rate than useful jobs could be created, but I really doubt a police officer, lawyer or doctor could be able to get replaced by a machine in 50 years, certainly not in 2050...

For you to have a fully replaceable police officer, the robot would need to be a literal terminator, capable of moving across every possible obstacle, asking questions, shooting, driving... anything that a police officer does on their career. It is simply impossible to come up with such a machine anytime soon, and 50 is soon. Maybe try again in year 3000.

Yes if it happens robots can't replace every job that humans can do. Even if algorithms can help them on identifying what is right and what is not the decision that they will have will still not be the same. They don't have a heart to consider.
63  Economy / Economics / Re: Slumps To Rallies on: November 24, 2017, 02:38:51 AM
I don't think that anyone could compare bitcoin to the previous bubbles. Those previous bubbles has one thing in common that is that they are offering a product to their customers while bitcoin is not offering anything. What it offers is the power to buy those products. It is a currency.
64  Local / Esercizi commerciali / Re: what do you think will be the future of this market? on: November 24, 2017, 02:36:37 AM
what do you think will be the future of this market? and what needs to change so governments will start to recognize it as a currency?

I think government will start recognizing bitcoin once more and more businesses accepts it. If bitcoin is going to be the way it should be then government will see the real help that it can do to nation's economy.
65  Economy / Economics / Re: The Supply of Bitcoin Is Limited. The Supply of Cryptos Isn't! on: November 24, 2017, 02:31:33 AM
No doubt that cryptos can ensure some regulatory freedom as it is not limited physically like gold or silver. However, the unlimited supply of altcoins is not good for the overall crypto community. We are seeing new altcoins are popping up every single day and flooding the market where most of them are worthless and makes no sense to buy. This way the investments are getting divided into thousand fractions. If we had only a handful of altcoins with proper marketing plans and roadmap, that would be much beneficial for the crypto community. If we can't control this trend, then millions of altcoins will flood the market which will eventually bring down the worth and reliability of crypto currency market.
I agree. The high number of altcoins (new tokens, to be specific) is not good at all in crypto-world. Yes, there are only 21 million bitcoins available once all BTC are mined, and I think that's good. The limited number of bitcoin is an example of a healthy cryptocurrency since it will allow people to ask for its demand, thus making it to continuously circulate in the market. That's also one of the reason why the value of bitcoin is rising up until now. The law of supply and demand is being followed by it, and more people are embracing the bitcoin movement. Smiley

On the other hand, tokens with high supply is one of the things that a bad altcoin possess. By law of supply and demand, once a product has very high supply, and doesn't match with the damand, the tendency is that its value will depreciate. People who owns such tokens/altcoins will have a hard time to sell their coins since there's a lot of supply out there, and the worst thing is that they will be dumping these coins for a long time, and as time passes by, it will lose its value because there is no smooth flow of it in the crypto-market.

Other crypto currencies are helping bitcoin to gain it's price. Think of it as bitcoin being the gold and other crypto currencies as the fiat for each country, they have their own purpose and are just basing their prices on bitcoin because they have their own purposes and use.
66  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: pool suggestion on: November 22, 2017, 06:12:14 AM
Is it really necessary to join a mining pool if you own Antminers? What will happen if I only have 5 antminer S9 and decided not to join a mining pool, will it work or no? Thank you for you reply.
67  Local / Pamilihan / Re: legit o scam? on: November 22, 2017, 06:08:11 AM

68  Local / Pilipinas / Re: DZRHNEWS PINAS TOPIC:BITCOIN on: November 22, 2017, 06:06:18 AM
Unti unti narin sumisikat ang bitcoin sa ating bansa dahil sa mga news tungkol sa bitcoin, pero di parin naiiwasan na kahit na maganda ang explanation nito marami parin ang duda sa bitcoin.

https://www.facebook.com/expertsopinionofficial/videos/127107547966467/

69  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Btc price on: November 22, 2017, 06:04:53 AM

70  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I hope 2018 will be an awesome year for cryptoworld and especially BTC !! on: November 22, 2017, 05:53:27 AM
I think everyone who owns Bitcoin is hopeful for the coming year, we all want to have a high price for the coin, which is possible because more and more people are being aware of bitcoin and regretted it when they did not invest before. Most of those people will soon be investing in bitcoin and it will result to a much higher price.
71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will crypto replace fiat money? on: November 22, 2017, 05:43:51 AM
I would like to know if cryptocurrency will replace fiat money in the future,  also if so how long it will likely take.  Also,  I would like to know which coin you think would take over if one will.  (E.G. Dogecoin,  BTG, LTC, XMR)

It is possible that crypto currency will replace the current fiat system but we don't know when. Alt coins are created for a specific purpose and it might be impossible for an altcoin to replace the whole fiat. Most probably Bitcoin can replace gold and may be the basis of value for all crypto currency.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Can Bitcoin Grow When All Exchanges are Scams? on: November 22, 2017, 05:40:46 AM
The future of bitcoin is very bad if the us government is operating scam sites to rob the peoples money.Soo much effort in the usa to poison and damage the people
Bitcoin is great technology but in a world controlled by satan and his lunatic governments -freemason agents -there is no freedom.

THE PEOPLE NEED A NON CENTRALIZED EXCHANGE

How can you say that all exchanges are scam? You should name those exchanges. Personally the exchange that I am using is not one of those, you can't just accuse all of the exchanges if you just experienced it with one of them. You might just chose the wrong one.
73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to DEAL with FUD's on: November 22, 2017, 05:37:23 AM
FUD is everywhere and it exist in every crypto.

Some FUD are true because of its evidences (screenshots etc..)

and sometimes the crypto price stumble and fell.

is the FUD can be a basis now for cypto price fall?

You can consider FUDs as negative publicity for Bitcoin and expect a lot of it in the future since Bitcoin is becoming more popular and we can't avoid other people to give negative feedback about it especially those who are being affected by it's existence. But always remember bad publicity is still a publicity that is also contributing to bitcoin's popularity.
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia says BTC will never be legalised - do you think we'll see a knock on? on: November 22, 2017, 05:33:53 AM
Nikolai Nikiforov stated: "Bitcoin is a foreign project for using blockchain technology, the Russian law will never consider bitcoin as a legal entity in the jurisdiction of the Russian Federation."

The article goes on to say:

"However, Nikiforov added that it is "quite possible" that Russia could consider using blockchain technology, as well as various digital tokens. However, he did not provide any context in which the technology might be utilized."

Do you think we'll see other countries going down this route?

Source: https://www.coindesk.com/russia-will-never-consider-bitcoin-legalization-says-minister/

Then why are they allowing their citizen's to release a lot of ICO's and do a lot of mining. We all know that Russia has a big part on Bitcoin mining and they made a lot money from it from the start. A lot of ICO's are managed and made by their citizen's in the past which collected a lot from investors.

Why are they saying now that bitcoin can't be legalized in their country then? After of all the funds that they earned from other people?

76  Economy / Economics / Re: Alt coin price manipulation is much easier than with BTC on: November 17, 2017, 02:41:48 AM
Something that became more evident this last week is that Alt coin price pumping/manipulation is MUCH easier than Bitcoin BTC. It only took Roger Ver and his shills a few days to super pump Bitcoin Cash with more than 100%. To have the same effect with BTC, you will have to get most of the BTC whales to act together and this is no easy task.

There are also more BTC exchanges to manipulate than Bitcoin Cash or Alt coin exchanges, so these Alt coin whales can concentrate their efforts for better results on only 1 or 2 exchanges where these coins are traded.

This is going to happen a lot more now, since this was such a huge success for these Pumpers, so be wary.  Roll Eyes

The reason why it looks more easy to manipulate alt coin than BTC was because they use BTC as the main currency to trade to BCH. More people prefer to have BTC that is why it is easy to look for a seller of BCH.  But if you are going to pump BTC price using other coin then you will find it hard to llok for someone willing to sell their BTC for other coin that is why most of the time fiat is being used.
77  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Why hasn't any government stopped Bitcoin? on: November 17, 2017, 02:23:49 AM
Bitcoin is a very powerful technology and the communities that supports bitcoin is too huge so government can't do that because they are opposing what their citizens want. It is unstoppable that even they ban it now, they'll be needing to adjust and change their minds because bitcoin will be used worldwide in the near future.

Governments are starting to regulate the use of bitcoin because of the threat that it is giving to the fiat system. Yes bitcoin might become the future's currency but government will not allow a non regulated currency to be used by their residents.

saying that “ordinary people” are ill-equipped to deal with such “very dangerous investments that could lead to loss of money.”
The article have a very interesting line to be read and while we are wondering what are those websites are about it gives us a hint that the thirteen websites related to cryptocurrencies that are blocked in Russia right now might be related to HYIPs and other forms of investments. If my understanding is true then the Russian Government has done well in protecting its citizens against a potential scam.

Is this the reason why less number of ICO's are being released now a days because Russia is also leaving the crypto currency world. Most ICOs are created by Russians and I noticed that unlike before ICOs are lessen.
79  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-06] Swiss Public University Begins Accepting Bitcoin on: November 17, 2017, 02:18:14 AM
It is very interesting to see how a public university can accept non-state means of payment, especially for a country that manages its own currency. This is in my opinion a good example of how bitcoin can co-exist with state means in a country.

This is indeed a good news to hear about bitcoin, another school that accepts it only means that bitcoin is becoming widely accepted for different industries. Time will come bitcoin might really replace fiat or at least the use of credit cards.
80  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-11-12] Analyst: “In 4 years BTC mining won’t be profitable anymore” on: November 17, 2017, 02:16:24 AM
According to Christopher Chapman, an analyst at Citigroup Inc, that might not be a bubble problem or fork which would eventually kill bitcoin, but the staggering energy costs associated with mining of the digital gold.

As Citigroup report states, the price of bitcoin required for mining to stay profitable in 2022 stands at $300 000 — according to the calculations, current growth trends, and electricity use. The amount of power consumed in the process of emission by that time would be enough for the whole Japan...https://en.bitnovosti.com/2017/11/10/analyst-in-4-years-btc-mining-wont-be-profitable-anymore/

The computation is based on current trends wherein most of the profit from mining are coming from the blocks that are being solved to mine new bitcoins, but once more and more people are using bitcoin then more transactions will be made and the transaction fee will compensate income from mining.
