1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fake news :Bitcoin is not banned in china on: September 29, 2017, 02:23:47 AM
Bitcoin has been a major disruptor in China and its socialist monetary policies.
As such, it is believed that the Chinese government has perceived the growing interest of the digital currency as a threat especially as Chinese investors have been seen to buy up Bitcoin and bet against the yuan.
The anonymous source cites “too much disorder” as the reason for the alleged shutdown, echoing the Chinese central bank’s words last week criticizing ICOs for disrupting the country’s financial order.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Sound Money? on: September 29, 2017, 02:15:51 AM
The bitcoin vs gold debate has raged on in investment circles since bitcoin has entered mainstream discussion among increasingly interested investors. Gold has been used as a form of currency and trade for thousands of years, and certainly has a track record for reliability and preservation of wealth. However, as the newcomer onto the scene, bitcoin may be the kind of financial and technological breakthrough to to challenge gold as the monetary kingpin.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you keep your bitcoins? on: September 29, 2017, 02:04:55 AM
There are many ways to use Bitcoin, and as many ways to keep them. Be aware of what you want to use your Bitcoins for, and how accessible they need to be. There is often a trade-off between accessibility and security, but by spreading your Bitcoins across different wallets, you can find the optimal situation
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can cryptocurrency make real money disappear? on: September 29, 2017, 02:01:34 AM
Though Bitcoin is a very promising commodity, still I think it cannot replace the real money. For one, any government will not hold anything that they cannot control and bitcoin for that matter is an example. It is a decentralized currency, meaning no one has a direct authority over it.
Real money is still real money. And i dont think a lot of normal people know about it. And both real world currency and the cryptocurrency are not going to be disappear from the world. All of them are going to play their role into this. And they are going to affect each other. But the crypto and private nature of the currency is going to make it harder for some currencies.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin truly decentralized? on: September 29, 2017, 01:53:55 AM
"Decentralized" by itself is not valuable, but if it leads to you being able to choose your own monetary policy and it leads to you being able to pay whomever you want to pay without interference, then it's valuable, and that's what Bitcoin allows you to do. What I'm getting at is that I hear often how Bitcoin being decentralized is one of it's biggest appeals. That's usually followed up with, it can't be manipulated by bureaucrats, or something similar. I just don't see the difference when something like the fork happens. The developers and miners are acting out of their own self interest and opinion which may or may not be good for the future of the currency, the investor, or casual bitcoin user.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin and Crypto Currencies the great equalizer? on: September 29, 2017, 01:50:17 AM
We are entering a reality where three billion of the world's poorest people have access to smartphones but not to traditional financial services. That means despite digital connectivity, the world's poorest remain unable to send and receive money via financial institutions, visit their local bank or write a check. The economic and human implications of lack of financial opportunity are huge and virtual currency may just be our great equaliser.
I am excited for the future of cryptocurrencies. My money's on Bitcoin as a hugely disruptive force for good, with practical applications that could bring finance to the masses, and inclusion to those currently left out of our global banking system. Cryptocurrency may just be the great equaliser that so many have been seeking.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The DEATH of Bitcoin Surfaces Again on: September 29, 2017, 01:37:20 AM
Most cryptocurrency enthusiasts easily dismiss these headlines of bitcoin bursting at the seams. The Linkedin post/hoax was no different as even if it was true, the points made were quite illogical. However mainstream media and those who don’t know much about bitcoin can easily be swayed by such headlines. Think about how many of your friends say, “Oh I thought bitcoin had died.”
I do believe this is not the Death of the Bitcoin / crypto currency as if some new traders sees . It is just a sell off or correction which is really a normal thing in stocks tradings.

9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When sell ETH for BTC? on: September 09, 2017, 07:57:41 AM
Do not make the same mistake with ETH. As the price of BTC drops, then you can sell your ETH and convert it to BTC. When the bitcoin price is stable, I am pretty sure that all the special altcoins using the ETH smart contract will soon be in color. green.
10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Profiting With Bitcoin on: September 09, 2017, 07:54:13 AM
This guy claims that his wordpress site had a turnover of over 6 million yesterday (March 19 2013). This may or may not be true, who knows, but let's assume it is for the sake of argument. His average commission is likely to be around 50 bips, judging from his fee schedule. After all, since you can't get more than 1000 bucks out per day, few people will be gullible enough to do larger trades.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Will happen if all bitcoin already mined ? on: September 09, 2017, 07:51:20 AM
Bitcoin is celebrated by supporters and admonished by skeptics because of its finite supply. There are only 21 million bitcoins that can ever be mined, regardless of the earth’s population and its corresponding demand for bitcoins. Once all 21 million have been mined, there will never be any new bitcoins (unless a change to the protocol is made to increase the supply).
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Funny about China ICO Ban on: September 05, 2017, 06:41:31 PM
To lighten the mood a bit...

"The lesson from the Internet is, anything that China bans, invest in it."
There is only one decision from the Chinese government, making the market riot
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Chart of the Day | Ethereum back above $300 on: September 05, 2017, 05:04:40 PM
That is very praiseworthy. Looking forward to the strong return of ETH
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP is the best crypto safe haven? on: September 05, 2017, 08:10:23 AM
XRP is currently the most underrated currency in the top 4 Crypto market currencies. XRP a must buy this September... Prices gonna surge upwards shortly.. Mind you it's solely an investment scheme..
It is influenced by China and other altcoins. Do you have investment at this time?
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China Blocking ICO? on: September 05, 2017, 07:33:08 AM
China Blocking ICO? What do you think about this?
NEO Already reacted to this statement

I don't think that will prevent the Chinese from investing in ICO.
But that has happened. China hopes to soon introduce a policy to push back the ICO
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to buy - question is which coins? on: September 05, 2017, 04:26:28 AM
I am planning on buying 1 bitcoin. I will watch if the price drops furthur tomorrow. The price of bitcoin will soon go back to $5000 after the correction. I am done buying other coins for now, i am already losing money in few of them.
Your plan is very good. btc is said to be a safe place to invest. But you invest a coin then the profit will not be high
good luck!
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ICO ban opportunity on: September 04, 2017, 05:56:30 PM
Let's discuss about something that i see as an opportunity.

All of these Chinese ICOs were collecting a huge amount of money, which means a lack of profit for the oldest coins we already have.

So imagine after this storm if all that money will invested in the existing coins, it will turn in a win win situation for all =D

what's your toghts about?
I think all the ICOs already in the bubble are clear that this event could open the eyes of everyone to the upcoming ICO crises. Whoever accepts the risk he will win
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Good time to buy Litecoin? on: September 04, 2017, 05:08:25 PM
With all the conundrums happening in China, the price of Litecoin dropped nicely in the past hours. Yes, nicely because we can buy more of it at discounted price. We all know that this coin has been in this space for quite long time now and it proven itself of one of the stable coins here in the market. I would be best if you could buy LTC at these prices as this will provide nice profit in the future. Think long term and you'll profit nicely.
I think the current political situation affects all atlcoin?
A post from the president of the United States on Twitter is a drastic change
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Good time to buy Litecoin? on: September 04, 2017, 04:50:36 PM
Looking at the thread at the moment, i have realized that the guys where right to buy Litecoin. It has reached 85$ today, great job! Smiley
Yeah and now its value is $65,however that reflects that prices never stay high,at least not in short periods of time.

now its value is $63, Do you think it continues to fall?
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The next Bitcoin? on: September 03, 2017, 02:46:34 PM
Dear Bitcointalk community,
we all love Bitcoin because it has some great features, but what will happen when another cryptocurrency will be used as much as Bitcoin? Mainly because it has all the things Bitcoin offers but better?
I wrote an article about this idea on Steemit and I would like to hear the opinion of some Bitcoinveterans.
Please tell me what you think and don't hold back your criticism.

https://steemit.com/crypto/@lumining/the-next-bitcoin

I see Etherum have potential if they have faster transaction confirmation from any coin in the world..
ETH is more potent. But more people know BTC more.
