1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | NEO Smart Economy⚡Now a Top 10 Cryptocurrency⚡| Official Thread |Updated Aug10 on: March 02, 2018, 04:04:08 AM
Hello NEO holders and people browsing through this Bitcointalk page. I spent the better part of today looking into NEO and answering the most common questions I could find, you can check out everything here: https://www.tokenanswers.com/c/neo

I’ll be adding a couple more common questions tonight/tomorrow. Anyways, this site is great for sending people to when they have general questions, and if someone has a specific question such as, “How is NEO different from Ethereum” you could just send them to the direct question with the answer on TokenAnswers: https://www.tokenanswers.com/q/how-is-neo-different-from-its-main-competitor-ethereumors

Anyways, hope this is something the community will use and find helpful. If you find any mistakes, then you can send an email to errors@tokenanswers.com and I’ll get the error(s) fixed right away. Also if you feel like I should add any specific questions just select “Ask Question” on the Token Answers neo page and I’ll get those answered quickly and add them to the site.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] POLYMATH: The Securities Token Platform on: February 28, 2018, 11:13:23 PM
I spent all day today finding common questions from the Polymath telegram page and then writing out answers. If anyone is new and looking into Polymath, then I’ve put all the questions and answers together on my site here: https://www.tokenanswers.com/c/polymath, I really hope it helps a lot of people out. It took me awhile to research into things like the token distribution and what exactly Polymath was trying to do.

What’s really cool about the site is you can select any question, and then copy the exact link to the questions page. If anyone asks a common question like "Has Polymath partnered with anyone", you can now quickly go to TokenAnswers.com, find the question, copy the unique url link, and send that to whoever asked the common question. One note: I’m still working on getting the exact roadmap the team is following and will add it the moment I get it from them.

Anyways, if you find any errors then let me know by sending an email to errors@tokenanswers.com or by messaging me on Bitcointalk, also, if you have any further questions you think I should add then let me know and I’ll add them right away. Thanks!
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ANN: ELIXIR (ELIX) Mobile Lending App Announced (ELIX On CoinExchange) on: October 03, 2017, 06:13:53 PM
So when are the NovaExchange recovery tokens being sent out? I'l really like to have my Elixir safely in my wallet right now for obvious reasons.

The NovaExchange recovery is finished. You should now have EXOR in your wallet.

The NovaExchange wallet balance is about to be burned, which will result in a net burn of approximately 1 million EXOR.

Why Nova TME will be burned, people spend their money their, why they are not converted to EXOR?
TME is traded in NOVA still

TME stopped withdraws that's why, it's not being traded. It's been ~1-2 months now and the dev eventually has to do something with the coins so if people weren't paying attention to there coins on Nova then they probably get them for free at the start. That's the only reason I can think of for someone not paying attention to their investment on Nova.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CHIPS] KMD platform's LN app with realtime betting+decentralized shuffling on: September 28, 2017, 03:15:12 PM
Just hired @Natasha (in SuperNET slack) fulltime

she has a lot of industry experience and will be doing non-technical aspects of what is needed for CHIPS/BET/PANGEA

from slack:

Natasha [1:19 PM]
I am a former CCO in iGaming

15yrs+ in Tech. Former CXO 5 Fintechs in emerging payments.. Provided back office to one of the 1st cryptos - icoins, in 2008

Awesome! How many engineers to plan to hire for CHIPS/BET/PANGEA?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CHIPS] KMD platform's LN app with realtime betting+decentralized shuffling on: September 27, 2017, 08:39:20 PM
We plan on using Chips as the token for online gambling since it will make use of Bitcoin's LN. What's interesting is that there was no marketing, no ICO, or GUI wallet. It was launched and has taken off by itself. The hashrate is enormous. It's proof how the community takes something and runs with it.
First real LN usecase ?!
I think so. I had the realtime betting mostly working with an earlier rev of the LN code. I rebased to the latest but have been too busy with barterDEX to make much more progress with the privatebet side of CHIPS.

but its just a matter of getting some coding time to get it back working again.

I also got feedback from the cryptographer regarding the decentralized shuffling, and I cant disclose all the details yet, but it seems the market is anticipating something significant and I wont say it isnt. I asked for a math paper to be written based on the code I wrote and it turns out to have a lot more math in it that I realized.

Anyway, the process of getting a peer reviewed published paper will take 6 months or so, and realistically so will getting some sort of playable demo that has a GUI. So there isnt anything here in the short term. Just a fun old school purely mined coin with volunteers.

But I designed things so that when barterDEX is stable with the SPV electrums, CHIPS is already supported, so it can be directly atomic swapped with any other supported coin. And we could also use the Agama wallet if somebody ever figures out how to build windows and osx versions.

So without taking much (if any) of my time, we might actually get cross platform support and GUI wallet. And sometime next year we should have the first demo games.

CHIPS incorporates the LN functionality but also the decentralized shuffling and will support plugging in game specific statemachines that would publish an api port for that game, which a game specific GUI can use. Which means CHIPS and LN, wont be just for poker, but for any game that needs a crypto secured random number(s) that is verifiable in realtime.

Hmmm... Maybe CHIPS mania isnt so crazy after all

and remember CHIPS is part of the Komodo Platform and provides these powers for KMD, in turn, people can do things like get total privacy using JUMBLR, in case that is desired for their CHIPS winnings.

CHIPS -> barterDEX KMD -> JUMBLR -> barterDEX BTC and you would have totally unlinked BTC from your CHIPS.

Making easy to use GUI for such a long chain will be a challenge

I mean Pangea has 312.1 BTC in it's holding, so that alone will help raise the price. Plus a truly private system for betting. Plus the project is associated with the Komodo Platform that will allow for other developers building betting systems to enable Chips in a plug and play way. Fun fair is worth $100M and hasn't launched really anything that amazing yet (they aren't even focused on Poker type games), so it's a bet that the technology here in the long term will win. Not that crazy for a project from the lead dev of Komodo to increase in value :p
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CHIPS] first realtime LN app using privatebet (BET) a komodo assetchain on: September 26, 2017, 03:22:07 AM
I am a big fan of poker, what would be the main functionality of your COIN CHIPS, thank you for your attention

This was from one of the devs:
"I will do my best to make it a fully generalizable system, so not only pangea, but any sort of betting (or just micropayment) will be able to be built."

A couple of things additionally I want to know, so if I create my own blockchain with Komodo, assuming Chips is part of the plug and play system, at what point would I also want to use Chips and feel the need to use it?  Basically, what type of scenarios besides betting types games such as poker might this be used for? Also, since this is just a Bitcoin fork, why wouldn't you just use Bitcoin vs creating a whole entire new coin?

Also one note, with a name like Chips and the logo being some sort of pokerish style coin. If this coin in the future will be used for other things such as micropayments, it would probably be best to change the logo now rather than wait later. It will start getting confused for just being used for betting games and might be a nightmare from a branding standpoint.

18:16 <bluewind> Just curious will chips adopt KMD features minus the interest
18:17 <togethercrypton> I think its going to be standalone except that it will be able to use LN and microtransactions
18:17 <togethercrypton> Primarily used for the poker dAPP
18:18 <jl777> it will switch to dPoW when most the mining is done
18:18 <jl777> it is already supported by barterDEX and we have electrum servers for it
18:19 <jl777> so it is an ecosystem coin and will also be integrated into the gameplay when we get to having games GUI/services
18:19 <jl777> likely many games will be denominated in KMD
18:19 <jl777> but use CHIPS
18:19 <bluewind> Alright makes sense
18:20 <jl777> so we make a specific game's chips equal to 1KMD worth of CHIPS, now you are using CHIPS, Lightning Network, decentralized shuffling, simple smart contracts, and when done, convert the CHIPS back into KMD -> JUMBLR -> nobody but you know where
18:21 <bluewind> yes I was about the ask that
18:21 <bluewind> ok I see
18:21 <jl777> and poker is just one of dozens of possible games that privatebet will support
18:21 <jl777> of course poker is likely to be the most popular
18:22 <bluewind> ok private bet is the platform and poker is like an app
18:22 <bluewind> will private bet then get shares of all the games made and will it be a open platform where dev and make their own games
18:22 <jl777> something like that, though i think marketing wise it is the komodo platform with a privatebet framework and a pangea instance
18:23 <jl777> privatebet is of course open, as all of what i do is
18:24 <jl777> usage of privatebet requires oracle nodes which will get paid for their services in the BET asset, at least I think that is what makes sense, though it might end up being payment in CHIPS
18:24 <jl777> or KMD
18:24 <bluewind> Yes
18:24 <jl777> each pangea game needs a dealer node that also would get some payment for the service maybe in PANGEA (or CHIPS or BET or KMD?)
18:25 <bluewind> any one can be a dealer?
18:25 <jl777> so many details still left to solve, and this project is not my first priority, not until barterDEX is in maintenance mode
18:25 <bluewind> Yea i understand
18:25 <jl777> you would need to be able to run a unix command line to be a dealer, so i guess that means 99.9% of the people wont be able to
18:26 <jl777> but each dealer would run their games and players can choose which dealer's games they like and over time each dealer will get reputations
18:26 <bluewind> Ok that works and makes sense
18:27 <jl777> combine that with the security assurance that both the oracle and dealer need to collude with a player to be able to see the deck, it ensures the maximum security possible within practical means
18:28 <bluewind> Yes there is a lots to do, what about the price fluctuation of chips?
18:28 <jl777> crypto is volatile, it is part of the gaming experience
18:29 <jl777> if you need a solid predictable value, then maybe you shouldnt be gambling
18:29 <bluewind> Yes i guess the dollar also fluctuate one way or the other
18:29 <jl777> and the price fluctuation over the time you are playing wont be that bit
18:29 <jl777> big
18:30 <jl777> so once CHIPS gets enough liquidity, then it becomes a usable coin for betting
18:30 <bluewind> ok yea
18:31 <jl777> but the games can be using "USD chips" which now would be 5 CHIPS, so maybe we get vendors who convert CHIPS into KMD and other things at reasonable rates
18:31 <jl777> its not perfect, but the goal for CHIPS isnt to solve the price stability issue
18:31 <jl777> it is to solve the decentralized gaming issue, which allows to solve a whole generalized class of other problems
18:32 <jl777> and when we get market makers who can make repurchase contracts at reasonable spreads, then we can implement fixed value chips
18:33 <bluewind> yes that a trading class "options"
18:33 <jl777> for example, I would imagine there would be a fair number of BTC, KMD, etc. holders who wouldnt mind making a crypto secured 1% spread
18:37 <bluewind> Yes thanks the guys who make the spread it like an insurance do they get some type of earnings, anyways thanks I just thought you would have use pegged asset features for betting but that will not solve the decentralised issue, and chips will be the only primary coin used for private bet and all the other games am I right?
18:46 <jl777> it needs segwit and i didnt want to contaminate any other coin with that
18:48 <bluewind> deleted the question , you already answered it yes makes sense, cheers
18:50 <togethercrypton> Dude. You a beast. This is great stuff!
18:52 <jl777> I just identify the best tech in each area, like zcash, LN, ILP and add whatever is needed to connect it all together

So Chips will be used on the Komodo platform for any betting game related projects that developers might want to build or is this just more of a test project coin?
realtime betting needs something like LN
I wont add segwit into the zcash codebase
KMD platform needs a realtime micropayments coin

I cant guarantee that there wont be any KMD platform game project that doesnt use CHIPS, but all the ones I am involved in will use CHIPS and CHIPS is the recommended coin for KMD platform micropayments.

It is still in early development phase, but we are working on a mathematical white paper that will hopefully be peer reviewed for the decentralized shuffling and LN speaks for itself, so that provides a good baseline to build games like pangea (poker) on top of.

I will do my best to make it a fully generalizable system, so not only pangea, but any sort of betting (or just micropayment) will be able to be built.

Already barterDEX supports CHIPS, so atomic swaps are available to convert between the coins

Awesome got it. What's the relation b/w jl777 and your username jl777B? Why the two accounts? Seems a bit strange.

I sent my EXOR to the ELIX contract address but I did not get the ELIX token in my wallet.
Can anyone explain why this happened ?
is the transaction confirmed yet? do you have manually added the elix token in myetherwallet?

Forgive me, it turns out I have not add custome for ELIX token. after reading your post, i do that and the ELIX token appears in my wallet. Thank you very much and forgive me for my stupidity Wink

Happens to the best of us Cheesy if you have any other questions then let us know!

The magnificent image of ELIXIR cannot be lost or stolen, nor can it be carried away. Purchased with common sense, paid for in full, and managed with reasonable care, it is about the safest investment in the world.

What is it with these bots and their patchwork phrases?

It's even funnier when they say stuff like "safest investment in the world".

I like Elix as well but never understood how anyone could say that. Kind of crazy.

this project was far better under old name, it was crushing everything, dev created this mess by changing name and two names, such poor names that do not resonate with people.
He consulted everything with community but not the new names, and that seems to be bad for project now.
Also, website show supply as 3.6 m, which can not be true, TME itself was around 10M and new batches would have also generated, i dont know how come this much low supply.

So slow progress now.

this project was far better under old name, it was crushing everything, dev created this mess by changing name and two names, such poor names that do not resonate with people.

I like this name and I think a majority of people in the community do. One reason it's an improvement is because it shows us getting away from the Minereum association. At the start it had some similarities but that's just not the case anymore, being called Timereum would have people relating us to Minereum even if we weren't related anymore. So the name change is a huge jump away from that with a focus on tackling the lending industry.

It is because of this similarity with Minereum that people have joined this project. We hoped for a repeat of the success. In addition, there were no filters and many registered dozens of addresses in AIRDRIP.

People that joined from Minereum have already joined. No value anymore in relating to that project. We got the community interested in this project, people still with Minereum know about Elix so no need for that relation. No one in Elix community should want to be related to them. Honestly this project is more ambitions and has much bigger ambitions than Minereum. I'll keep saying this probably for the next month/s but lending is a huge industry, trillions, and the blockchain allows for many interesting innovations to occur in that industry, that's why I'm excited about Elix.

"no filters and many registered dozens of addresses in AIRDRIP"
The dev for this project checked the IP of users so those got filtered out  (according to dev). Minereum didn't do that so that was more of a problem for them.

You do not understand the developer's plans. In the lending will be used tokens ELIX, and they are not trillions)))
About IP do not tell me, it's funny)))

A bit confused with both of your 2 responses but I think I know what you are saying for the second part. Someone could have used multiple IP's to send in their address pairs, sure. But there are ways to detect random IP's coming in (did the dev go that far, who knows), most likely people didn't go through that trouble and just used the same IP for multiple submissions, especially since those people probably didn't expect the developer to look that far into it. So I'd imagine it was easy to catch the bad players. Did people grab multiple pairs, potentially yes, it's really not the end of the world though. Those coins most likely will be distributed at low prices anyways. It's just nice to know the dev took some precautions with the airdrop where as most wouldn't.

3.6 million supply because TME holders haven't fully converted over to Elix yet. The reason TME holders didn't convert their coins is 1) They got a genesis address or have TME stored in their wallet and stopped paying attention to the coin, happens a lot with new coins 2) They left their coins on Nova even after the warning from the dev and now Nova isn't allowing anyone with TME to withdraw their coins. The dev has a workaround for this which those people affected can look in the forum for, it's been posted a couple of times. This is where a lot of the coins are held up but should be solved soon.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ANN: ELIXIR (ELIX) Incentives Driven Payments on: September 16, 2017, 07:21:37 PM
Pls don't compare minereum with bitcoin.

That being said: reading the last two pages is sad; a crazy mix of fud and raving when dev posts here to the obligatory New Exchange When.

I was making an analogy for why it's okay to be a clone coin at the start (all coins usually at least clone ideas from Bitcoin, cloning is okay as long as you build on top of that). Not saying Elix is better than Bitcoin or Minereum is the same as Bitcoin, just an analogy  Smiley

Repeating this probably for the 12th time now.
CoinExchange will cost 2 BTC to get added on are they thinking it through whilst also contacting other exchanges. LiveCoin has been thrown away from the community but is bit more expensive at 4 BTC. News coming soon on that front coming soon according to dev.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ANN: ELIXIR (ELIX) Incentives Driven Payments on: September 16, 2017, 05:29:49 PM
I am still holding, but honestly, this community is not helping a bit, the community is just too lazy on this project, because they cant see any progress by the dev, clearly just some clone of minereum now, but as I said, I am still holding, we cant say for sure what will happen, but as just telling my opinion here, this is turning into a shit coin.

What are you talking about? We get updates every ~two-three days from the dev. Yes, the coin started with the basis of being similar to Minereum (much as every crypto coin currently is also a clone of Bitcoin), the difference (at the start) being Elix is manually mined. Once Elix is listed on new exchanges in a couple of weeks, the current 2 devs will start building a minimum viable product which will be the first step in using the coin to take on the trillion dollar lending industry. Elix is going after a big market where as the Minereum team is building an app similar to Pokemon Go except for crypto and Artemine (Minereum 2.0) added the ability for public mining which is one of the least energy efficient ways of mining a coin compared to other smart contract coins, one thing they did do right is added the ability for Genesis address holders to sale the Genesis pair but not sure if that's still really something to buy into. Elix is taking on a huge market whilst the Minereum team is creating things that a bored programmer would make without a huge use-case/grand-vision in mind.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ANN: ELIXIR (ELIX) Incentives Driven Payments on: September 15, 2017, 06:17:05 PM
A quick update:

We currently have at least one option for an exchange listing: CoinExchange.io for 2 BTC.

The other developer and I will be discussing this in detail and comparing it against any more options we receive over the next few days.

Thank you for your patience.

LiveCoin is 4BTC and has ~$11,646,857 volume every 24 hours vs CoinExchange at only ~$1,964,881 volume per 24 hours. I say go big or go home with the exchange. Go with LiveCoin if possible. Also LiveCoin is just a better exchange in general. Much better UI and it feels more trustworthy than CoinExchange. That and you should try to get relisted on Nova for free since you already paid for it. Seems a bit crazy if they wouldn't relist you for free.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/artemine-creates-major-technical-breakthrough-introduces-public-mining

I strongly believe in the eco-friendly aspect of self-mining projects like Minereum and Artemine. So many are disregarding how much electricity is used but hey, one can argue that creating fiat requires more resources... BUT imagine a currency that don't require both. We are in the generation of digitalization so I don't see why we cannot completely digitalized currency. Infact I see it as the future.

I have to ask this, isn't Artemine relying on Ethereum mining which will still require energy/resources to mine in order for Artemine to have any function at all?

Correct. You need ETH miners for the self mining smart contract to work. So it's really not energy/resources efficient, in fact, it's less so than any-other coin that distributes all of their coins at the start. Artemine is really the least eco friendly ETH based token since you constantly need ETH miners for the self mining of the coin. A self mining coin does have it's benefits though, such as incentivising people to hold the coin vs sale it since you can always mine more coins. Not sure if that's a must buy feature though.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ANN: ELIXIR (ELIX) TME 2.0 on: September 05, 2017, 12:49:38 AM
I don't know why everyone wants to be on an exchange so badly. We are on EtherDelta. You have a way to trade it. Let the developer launch the website, branding work, marketing material (roadmap, logo), etc. Then launch on exchanges. ELIX just launched 3 days ago, let that sink in.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Minereum - First Self Mining Smart Contract - ARTEMINE ICO SOON on: August 21, 2017, 07:30:39 PM
seems like he wants all the mne to get burned.... make everyone think they are getting $30 bucks per mne but once art hits the markets it will be worth crap.... I might rather hold on to the mne

But still if people are interested in getting into ART (ICO's are going like crazy right now, so hopefully a yes with that one), then that means they'd most likely buy MNE first if it's under ~$30.

19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Minereum - First Self Mining Smart Contract - ARTEMINE ICO SOON on: August 21, 2017, 07:21:41 PM
Hi Everyone,

These are the exchange rates we will use for the ICO:

The ICO will run for 30 days, for each day you can see the price of 1000 ART in ETH and MNE.

As an example, in the first day 1 ETH will buy 1000 ART and 10 MNE will buy 1000 ART.

All purchased ART will then be mined for about 60 years as per the current average block time (100000000 ETH blocks), the actual duration will depend on the ethereum block time over time.

THX!!
Well done, this is really a great offer.
So MNE is worth 30 USD on day 1!

Yep indeed. Holy moly!

Rebranding

I have the intention of rebranding TME under a different, better name. This would likely not occur for 6-12 months. A snapshot of holdings and genesis batches would be taken, and a newer contract deployed.
This would also give the opportunity to make the base token fully compatible and have it implement totalSupply(). This would allow the base token to be traded on EtherDelta and other decentralized exchanges. The situation with Nova has brought to my attention that using only centralized exchanges to trade puts the token holders at the mercy of exchange issues.

Exchanges

Although I understand the desire to trade, I think that the value of the base token should be based on the delivery of a service. Therefore I am advocating to wait until the new service is released and the base token rebranded to trade the base token. If an exchange picks TME up in the meantime, that is fine. If the community wants to work to put TME on more exchanges, they can. I do understand that NovaExchange gained TME a lot of publicity.

"A snapshot of holdings and genesis batches would be taken", does that mean we'd have to do anything on our end to get this coin if say we are storing everything in myetherwallet? My concern is forgetting to come back in 6 months then finding out that I missed my chance to convert TME to x other coin all due to not checking this forum everyday.

No need to do anything.

So does that mean it'll show up in myetherwallet (or whatever wallet being used) automatically as a new token? You'll send the equivalent (or maybe double  Wink) of this new token to all the addresses that currently own TME?
