61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Did China Dominate Bitcoin? on: November 05, 2019, 10:07:34 PM
The Bitcoin whitepaper was released in English, how did the Chinese get sointerested ahead of others that they dominate mining of bitcoin?

Lol... this guy is very funny, actually.
The Chinese people are business savvy more than any people in the world.
Also, in China they have very cheap electricity that why the majority of bitcoin miners are from China.
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is never going to be extinct on: November 04, 2019, 10:43:32 PM
Bitcoin is never going to be extinct
I believe its consensus will be higher and higher in the future.
we will never know what will happen in the future, we can only predict and everything can happen. but when people say that bitcoin will go extinct, I don't believe it. because in my view, bitcoin has been preferred by many people because they can benefit from making profits or making transactions easier. and I think, as time goes by, surely more and more people understand bitcoin and want to use it. when all that happens, it's clear the number of requests will increase. and that way, we can already guess what will happen later. in my opinion, bitcoin will not become extinct, instead the price will be higher.

I agree with your opinion, and that is a logic that makes sense in my opinion. We all know that the amount of bitcoin is limited, and it will be more valuable if everyone wants to have it because they realize that bitcoin is useful if used for investments or transactions. when the number of requests gets bigger, while the number of offers decreases, I'm sure the price of bitcoin will get higher. and with that logic, I'm also not sure if bitcoin will become extinct.
It is kind of hard to predict whether the Bitcoin will be extinct or not in the future right now. At the moment, Bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency and it's the major trading pair in the whole cryptocurrency market. there is no other trading pair in the market either Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, and Tether - that come close to bitcoin but the future is full of surprises.
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in High School Syllabus on: November 04, 2019, 10:33:30 PM
According to the cryptocrunch: https://cryptocrunchapp.com/news/bitcoin-officially-included-in-french-high-school-syllabus/

Bitcoin cryptocurrency education will be implemented to French High School Syllabus. It is a new way to introduce money to students.

They are focusing on four Video questions:
1. Can bitcoin be a replacement to Euro?
2. Is bitcoin the currency of the future?
3. Is bitcoin is a currency like others?
4. Do you have to trust your currency?

Regarding this, it would be a good start to educate students about money and trust.

What's your opinion about this? Should cryptocurrency as a whole and blockchain be in schools curriculum?

I think this is a very good idea to educate students about digital currency. it is good to teach kids about the future of money and how to use it as well. The age of paper currency as we know is over, therefore the future is a digital currency. bitcoin is just a start for the digital currency and who knows what will happen in the future perhaps the governments all over the world would issue their own digital currencies.

64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you waste your time for 5 cents worth of bitcoin? on: November 04, 2019, 10:24:25 PM
I am doing market research for a potential project.
If there was a website you could go to daily where you would earn anywhere from 1 cent - 10 cents worth of bitcoin just for clicking a button, would you do it?
No strings attached, no deposit required. You go to the website, push a button and 5 cents is deposited into your wallet. Would you go every day and do it, or is it not worth your time?
I will not advise anybody to sacrifice their safety just to log in to a website for only 10 cents. Such website might have a hidden agenda behind this.  Your safety should always be first before logging into any platform.  People use such strategies to remoting gain control of your computer and steal the funds you have in your wallet.
Yes, it is too risky. there are many things to consider. It is not just 5 cents you should consider but what is behind the site that is paying you for 5 cents per action. Such sites normally pay people for clicking a link or downloading a piece of software which are malicious in nature. be careful about what you do online these days.
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A rising number of Americans own crypto and nearly 13 million women says study.. on: November 04, 2019, 10:17:44 PM
You should all think how many people who were asked to participate in the survey declined because they did not know what a cryptocurrency is. This would be my reaction if they asked me to participate in a survey. I'd say ok fine and they'd say it's about my opinion about chemo in treatment of children with melanoma. I'd be like  Shocked Huh no thank you I don't have an opinion really.

Those who participated know a lot about crypto. Those who did not declined to take the survey.
We also have to consider those who decline because they want more privacy and they don’t want to expose themselves as a crypto hodler. Well, the numbers is easy to say but its hard to believe that they surveyed for 13 million women, maybe there’s an online consensus about this one but its good to know that more people shows interest about cryptocurrency.

Both of you are correct. Bitcoiners are a specific group of people who value privacy. There's also a factor of the government and taxation each of us has to consider. Most people don't want to disclose their bitcoin holdings because some bitcoiners became targets of home invasions and threats. People see bitcoin holders as easy targets because they have all the money at home and it's harder to track and easier to carry than a bag of cash or jewelry. If I were asked about bitcoin in the street I wouldn't want to tell them too much because you never know who's going to watch these things. Maybe that junkie who lives one block from you and sees you walking to work every day. Now he'll know when you're not at home and that you're saving up in bitcoin.
This is a welcome development to both bitcoin and the entire cryptocurrency community. But I think is kind of development is happening all over the world even down here in my country many people are now joining the cryptocurrency revolution. Hopefully, by the end of the year 2020, the people using cryptocurrency will reach two billion.
66  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how i can protect offline wallet ? on: October 30, 2019, 04:13:47 PM
Offline wallet does not mean safe from thieves, they do everything they can to satisfy their depraved appetite. I've also experienced it, I was almost frustrated, because the only way to avoid it is to maintain the privacy of the private key, don't let others know ... that's all, and don't easily click on any links from strangers .

It is safe, unless they are going to force you to give them your private keys personally, I can't think of any ways on how someone could stole your coins in an offline wallet, that's mysterious, and can you please tell the whole story to let me get your point, that'll be much appreciated and we could easily give our opinions on what you are going to do next time to protect your offline wallet.

Warning: Human errors are futile to resist
I think the best way to protect your coins is by using the hardware wallet. With a hardware wallet, both your bitcoin and altcoins are safe since the hardware wallet is completely off-the-grid. By using this type of wallet no one have access to your wallet but you. Make sure to keep it in a secure place.
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Real Reason Why Bitcoin Price Shot Up Today on: October 30, 2019, 12:56:06 PM
it has nothing to do with anything and doesn't really require any kind of reason whatsoever.
it is a simple recovery that because bitcoin was undervalue it happened in a fast and big manner within a very short time. have you forgotten how the price shoot up happened this year when price first broke $4k levels? that is being repeated today once again!
So the bitcoin is actually having another bull run not because of China's President announcement. Well, many people in the cryptocurrency community including myself thought the bitcoin price is halving due to the Chinese government's plan to start adopting blockchain technology. Ok, now I get a clear vision of what is going on in the cryptocurrency market.
68  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy now Bitcoin today on: October 29, 2019, 10:46:51 PM
The price chart tells everything.

I did not believe this in the past and I regret that.

I did reinvest but not that much since more than that, I will not be able to afford it. Despite me not really sure of what might happen, I guess I will just invest and wait. As a tip, we should be aware that we can afford the investments that we are doing or else, too much would be really bad especially if you will be doing that continuously.
I used to doubt this prediction but know I realized I made a very big mistake for not believing this in the first place. Maybe I should not blame myself because I was bombarded shitload of awful predictions in the past. But this prediction works as described, the bitcoin price went up and still holding somewhere between $9,350+ to $9,500 today.

69  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the day trading profitable ? on: October 29, 2019, 10:37:57 PM
I am prepared myself for trading. But i need some suggetions from here. There are many way for trading in cryptocurrency. But i need correct one which is profitabe. I am prepared myself for day trading. Is it profitabe?

Day trading is very profitable these days but you have to know what you are doing to get the profits. First, you need to learn about day trading from the basics to actual trading. Trading is not easy you must learn to trade before you can make money with it. thus, learning about trading is compulsory or else - you'll end up losing your money. You may start learning about trading from YouTube crypto trading tutorials, it is free.
70  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The One Thing That Could Stop Bitcoin on: October 29, 2019, 10:14:38 PM
Communities make up the development of Bitcoin. Therefore, only the developer community and the user community can stop Bitcoin
Dying from within is indeed the only way it's going to happen. If users, miners and developers give up on it then all you're left with is some useless code. Even then some enthusiasts may keep it ticking over but it would be a curio from then on. I've no idea what would inspire a mass walkout but nothing else will kill it off.
Indeed, I think bitcoin will only die when it becomes valueless where there is zero demand for bitcoin by the public. The demand for bitcoins by the people is everywhere that is why bitcoin is very valuable today. Zero bitcoin demand is the only thing that will kill bitcoin, not bitcoin miners or china ban.
71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Hal Finney/Craig Wright being Satoshi? on: October 28, 2019, 11:24:19 PM
I still don't understand why Satoshi conceals his true identity to date. Many people are now confused when it comes to who is satoshi. Nobody will hold satoshi accountable for creating the bitcoin. It's really bad to see people like Dr. Craig Wrigh claiming to satoshi and so on. He should have present himself a long time ago. If you look at the Ethereum creator Vitalic Buterin nothing has happened to him, here is open to people and enjoying life.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your favorite way to receive money as a gift? Cash or digital.. on: October 28, 2019, 11:13:02 PM
What a savagery? The bank of England started a poll and got an unexpected answer from the people. This shows that people want bitcoin and altcoins more than the traditional bank-issued fiat currency. With cryptocurrency, people have freedom and control over their money.

74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it Possible To Mine Bitcoin with Supercomputer? on: October 28, 2019, 10:37:02 PM
The supercomputers are not designed to mined bitcoins. thus, the result is not going to be any good. They should have bought Bitmain S9 miners instead of using the supercomputer. Using a supercomputer for mining bitcoin is a very big waste of time, energy and resources.
75  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC 20,000 USD by the year end. on: October 28, 2019, 10:27:51 PM
Have you read the news that Bitcoin might be able to reach 20,000 USD before the year ends? Maybe we can't achieve the 16K this month but we are still having a good year.
You must see the new and read the full stories. https://bitcoinist.com/3-reasons-bitcoin-price-may-hit-20000-by-year-end/

bitcoin dominance as of now:
Quote
October 28, 2019, 02:22:35 PM
67.8%

This will be a welcoming news for all and it would send a positive waves across the crypto market and give a fresh push to the altcoin market as well. There has been many positive news about the growth of bitcoin after China's announcement but not sure how far this will go as projected.  We can believe in any pump when it will last over a week's time to avoid any bull trap.

Nice! with China Hopping one the train now everything is possible. The sky is the limit for cryptocurrency with China planning to adopt blockchain technology. Using blockchain technology without cryptocurrency is like eating rice without salt - sooner or later you are going add it in one way or the other.
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Cafe on: October 28, 2019, 10:14:53 PM
Wow, this is great! Bitcoin cafe in a country where bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are illegal? this is a very good promotional gig! even though the cryptos are illegal in that country this cafe would be very popular for using the bitcoin name and also using the bitcoin name will help promote bitcoin too as well. so it is a win-win for both parties I believe.
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Every tiny piece of Bitcoin is worth it! on: October 28, 2019, 10:06:07 PM
That's a good idea. Always retain access to your coins no matter how small they are because someday they would be worth something tangible. For me, I have access to all my exchange wallets from forkdelta, coinbene, gate.io, hitbtc, bitfinex, kucoin, okex, houbi, bittrex poloniex, and many more exchanges.
78  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-10-18] ‘Trojanized’ Tor Browser steals Bitcoin from Darknet users on: October 23, 2019, 08:51:18 PM
Not new to me.
If someone is using Tor, it doesn't mean that they are some l33t cypherpunks, it's likely just people who want to buy drugs online, and use that browser because that's the only way to access .onion sites. They might even have some false sense of security, thinking that they have already achieved full anonymity and there's nothing to worry about. This is a lot like people who install fake Bitcoin wallets - the reason why it happens is because most of the population doesn't know that you can and should verify digital signatures of developers, and when Windows warns them that they are about to install a software with unverified publisher, they mindlessly click ok, because they are used to pirate software or installing some junk.

As far as I know, TOR is used not only for illegal purpose such as purchasing drugs, guns, etc. There are many interesting forums in the Darknet, so people can communicate with each other without censorship. Moreover, Satoshi Nakamoto who created Bitcoin has always posted messages here using the TOR network.

TorBrowser must be downloaded only from the official site. The EXE file is signed by an organization called "The Tor Project, Inc.". In this case, no one will be able to steal bitcoins through the installed "trojanized" TOR.

We are not sure about that. TOR is been there for many years. Hackers will be able to crack the software and inject virus. Hackers are good at it. Injecting virus which steal Bitcoin. Even on clearnet we often face this kind of threat. How much more on Darkweb?
People are supposed to download the TOR Browser from the Tor official website. Before using the TOR browser people should know what they are going to be dealing with - which is the darknet. Darknet is not a place where you can mess around like Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. Now, this is a lesson for many people to learn when dealing with darknet to have to be extra-smart and be very careful.
79  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-08-31] Bitcoin bank accounts now available to European citizens on: October 23, 2019, 08:39:42 PM
"Bitcoin: be your own bank"

it's a bit like politicians; you'd be crazy to actually trust somebody who actually wants to be a bank

we don't need politicians to represent our interests (they don't anyway)

we don't need banks to keep our money safe (they don't anyway)

I wonder who is going to need a bank for bitcoin.
Bitcoin gives people freedom and control over their money.
With bitcoin bank where is your privacy? It is like doing KYC for a bitcoin wallet.
I still can't get it, why would someone need a bank for bitcoin. is it because of security or what?
80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how i can protect offline wallet ? on: October 22, 2019, 10:36:03 PM
my friends lost his coins from offline wallet when he was chatting online on facebook messenger
sure he can't restore his coin
so how can protect offline wallet ?

Your friend must not send his private key to anyone via social media, or store it anywhere. They should have written it down on a piece of paper and stash it somewhere where no one would find it, at best. Other than that, treat the offline wallet as an offline wallet, meaning don't have it connected to the internet-enabled computer any longer than it needs to be connected for coin transfers to take place. Other than that, try not to lose it or have it stolen, and all should be well. As for restoring the coins, if they were stolen from the wallet, meaning sent to another address in a transaction done by a third party, those coins are gone. Crypto transactions are irreversible.
Why is your friend shared his private on Facebook chat? Now, this is a valuable lesson for you to learn, never share your private key with anyone anywhere. Always save your private key in a secure environment. Save it on a paper or flash drive and then hide it somewhere only you can find it.
