983  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Friend gives wallet seed to stranger and bitcoins disappear from his wallet on: October 23, 2017, 01:41:43 AM

A friend who asked for instructions on how to use certain features of his wallet, was apparently tricked into divulging his seed to a stranger, and now his 2.6 btc are missing from the wallet, and so is the stranger. Does he have any recourse?

your friend bitcoin is gone even if you find the guy he would just deny it unless you have witness or proof. 2.6 btc is a huge amount this should serve as experience to your friend. walled seed is always important so never talk or give it to stranger.
984  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens when Bitcoin reaches its Max Supply? on: October 22, 2017, 03:35:59 AM
bitcoin will circulate when all supply are mined and the demand will also be high and the value will be high too. the fee will also increase to pay miner for confirming transaction but it will take years to mine all the supply.
985  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin a good way to invest your money ? on: October 21, 2017, 12:29:24 AM
Savings in banks Deposits in banks Property investments, such as buying property (land and buildings) are then leased or resold after some time later. Gold investment, such as buying gold and then stored for the long term. May be useful in the long run. and produce a decent and satisfactory. or farming to buy sawan and gardening and planting fruits and vegetables is a very good investment. Although a little vulnerable to failure but it could not hurt to try.

if your are planning for your future then bitcoin is a good investment because you need time to make profit from it. investing in bitcoin always have high risk so do not invest what you cannot afford to lose.
986  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Pagbenta ng mga token on: October 21, 2017, 12:13:55 AM

Salamat.

991  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Post keep decreasing why? on: October 13, 2017, 12:21:56 PM

992  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Big Banks are so Nervous About Bitcoin ? Why ? on: October 13, 2017, 07:52:50 AM

There was a time where Bitcoin was not even on the radar, it was a novel idea that was primarily used by thieves and drug dealers on the dark web. Nothing to be afraid of in terms of holding a monopoly on money.

However, that same little upstart is now disrupting the system of things; from Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, ICOs and the ever impressive Blockchain technology. This is now a legitimate threat on traditional banks.

Banks have existed unchallenged for hundreds of years, and that is the key issue here; Bitcoin, backed by a solid platform such as Blockchain technology, is a ghost that is incredibly hard to control due to its decentralized nature.

The power and control of money is being ripped away from traditional institutions, which can also be seen on Wall Street. Some of these traditional investors are siding with what could be the future, while others vehemently denounce it.

Individuals can now enter into direct peer-to-peer trusted exchanges with strangers. They no longer need a central institution to vouch for the other party.

Just like the fax machine, the library, even metered taxis, new technologies have come along and made others obsolete. Banks are now in the sights of Bitcoin and are in their death throws, as they lash out with the power of states behind them.

However, there’s no stopping progress, and even with state-backed regulations trying to wrestle the money of the people under control, banks have every reason to be nervous.

Bitcoin rise rapidly, at first they do not see it as a threat now bitcoin is becoming more popular and gain support from people. They fell that they will be left out, people can now do transaction without the help bank.

995  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people scam on: October 09, 2017, 11:29:06 PM

997  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin loss? on: October 08, 2017, 01:25:37 AM
One thing always came on my mind when I entered the world of Bitcoin.
Fiat are issued with registered numbers and recycles in the name of new currency, making the old obsolete.
i.e. They never get destroyed even if the physical notes gets burned and decayed.

But bitcoin are totally different, they can be lost
- sending to unsupported address
- loosing private keys
- people dying with private keys, etc.
Which will keep on decreasing the total available supply of the coin. making it more scarce.
Won't that bring a problem the the economics, no coins left to trade situations?

- there always a room for error but this could only happen if not double check or being always competent to self. there is only a small case that this happens as what i read in this forum.

- private keys are important, people know that so they always make extra a copy of it.

- there may be case bitcoin holder dies and did not share the key but it is still good for the rest. if bitcoin is in low supply its demand increase and the price increase.
