641  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] 0.079 - Avalon Chips - Escrow by John K. (Europe / RO) + PCB on: May 14, 2013, 01:58:13 AM
Thanks for the Clarification, you  are right Im mining litecoin a ~23kh/s I  Cpu mine Btc ~2m/hs. I would love to get in on a order but right now my funding options may only allow 1-2 chips. Im broke as shit after rent, wife and kids so I mine as hobby since my hash rate is tiny, Im just trying to gradually advance with using my LTC earnings and multiplying them on BTC-E. I have a huge task in front of me before ever making a dollar.

Electric is included on my rent so the cost for that is not a problem.

I used Btc-E to turn 0.02ltc in 4.3 as of yesterday, It took a month to do that, and I plan on mining and trading until I can afford a Gpu or possible a few low cost chips.

Everyone tells me Im wasting my time, I can see that but Im not going to stop Im determined to make something work. If it takes me 6 months to be able to get faster equipment, I will keep trading and mining. Also have received a .02 Btc as a donation which has helped me, I know  0.02 btc is small potatoes for most but it takes me a month or 2 to mine that. I am forever grateful to those that given me any amount of donations. I keep track of them, and Plan repay whatever donation double or triple fold when I get to that point.

Im just  a tiny fish in the Ocean of crypto, Im willing to do whatever I have to Play with The Big Boys

Ive pee'd rocks before, ooooooo buddy, started sweating knees gave out and ended tinkling on myself and the floor. Pain is not the word for it....

Tip- drink a bunch of water to help you have a larger stream, makes it lil less painful and make the stone come out faster

Im not sure i Understand what your asking but I'll give it a go.

You can use Btc-e.com to exchange BTC for Litecoin and other Crypto Currency. Also for and easy change over to mining Ltc from Btc with you equipment, I would say use Gui Miner --scrypt version. It allows you to mine Litecoin using your GPU, its a Graphic User Interface for Cgminer and Reaper. Very simple to use.

Hope this helped,
645  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is pool mining LTC on a laptop CPU a bad idea? on: May 13, 2013, 11:32:15 PM
Where i live I dont have to pay for electric its wrapped up in the rent, I know everything in life cost something. My position is that i didnt have to shell out my pay from my job to get started mining. I used what I have to start with and will hopefully be able to use my earnings to make a  earn a gpu. It will take me a long time but am willing to do so, to keep my cost low. Between rent, bills and kids I cant afford to shell out $300 Card to mine faster. It would be nice but for me its not possible. Im in the poor house and found Ltc Mining and Trading on Btc-e to be a good hobby, I dont look at it a a source of income. It will probably take me a year to make anything off it
646  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is pool mining LTC on a laptop CPU a bad idea? on: May 13, 2013, 09:43:23 PM
I use a Laptop for a Cpu Mining worker, I get about ~2-3kh/s from this Laptop old Pentium Duo Core. I dont have it tweaked to max hash rate to prevent over heating, I also use a laptop chiller.

Between 3 pc's and a laptop I mine at ~23khs, yes it is not much at all but Im still grinding away. If you want to mine go ahead and get started use what you have. Low hash rate shouldnt discourage you, it just takes alot longer.
647  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Redneck Guide to Cpu Mining Litecoin. on: May 13, 2013, 09:08:04 PM
I know Cpu mining will not make you a fortune.  I just made this for the people like me that have to use what you got. It would be easier to save some money and get a GPU and pump high hash rate, which I would love to do.  Thing is I have no extra money and want contribute to Crypto- Currency so I continue to mine. I use my slow hash rate side by side with BTC-E multiply what I mine with small trades that pick up 2-3 cents per transaction.

I opened my BTC-E on 4-9-2013 I had a fraction of a litecoin and its Value was ~$1, after a few hundred trades I have multiplied that fraction into a value of $13.65 in about a month. Don't get me wrong it takes some work, but it is possible to earn something from ~23kh/s. Even though its not much you still can Buy Low and Sell High on Bte-E to make a gain.

Thanks for looking at the guide. Don't be discouraged by low hash rates, it will make something-just a little slower
648  Other / Beginners & Help / Redneck Guide to Cpu Mining Litecoin. on: May 13, 2013, 11:08:50 AM
I made a simple guide for and tried to dumb it down to make it a simple 1-2-3-umm 6 process.
Gear toward folks that have to mine with what they got. Even a slow cpu.

651  Economy / Lending / Small Semi Long Term Loan Request 8Btc - 6 mo on: May 13, 2013, 03:31:32 AM
I would need 8 Btc for a Term of 6 Months. Im not very good with percentages but am willing to repay 12Btc . If that is too large 6 Btc for 8.5 return would be my next option.  I will be using the coin to upgrade some equipment and also to help maximize returns on trades on Btc-E.

I trade Ltc, I started trading a month ago with 0.20 Ltc and within a month I have multiplied it to 4.69 Ltc in about 1 month. I trade daily for 6-8hours and I go for low gains, repeatedly. Im to the point know where I am confident in my trades and havent incured a loss in little over a week. Im needing quanity to multiply trade further.

Coupling trading and equipment upgrades, I will be able to advance my return and repay the agreed amount in shorter than 6 months but Im giving myself room. A monthly payment will be made in good faith, most likey the whole loan will not be use and will keep remainder in cold storage for safe keeping,

I work full time at Uhaul in TN, With bills and everything I can afford $100 amonth to use as saftey money incase something doesnt pan out.

USD Value will not effect the terms. Meaning for 8 Btc loan 12 Btc to be returned. Even if Btc goes to $500.

If return seems a little high, i can deal with that. If anyone is willing to give me a hand up I am glad to pay a little extra in the long run.

What happens, are you just running cgminer and it closes real fast. People are using that card so i dont see what the problem is. Get Guiminer -scrypt from this thread. Download and run

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=150331.0

Use the setting that are posted on the image of that thread. Just use your user name and account info from your mining pool
Nice that you're trying to help, but alas your advice is misguided.

Im just trying to troubleshoot him and the problem. If he says he does not know how to to install cgminer  "It Dont Work"  can mean many things. Sorry for trying to help, will keep advice to myself

Cgminer is very simple to use. I would suggest the program GUIMiner -scrypt version. Its the Graphic Interface for Cgminer and reaper very simple to use
658  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Want to try mining on: May 12, 2013, 04:34:23 AM
Yes that card should work, you may need AMD Parralell Processing SDK. Google or you can find it here

659  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Want to try mining on: May 12, 2013, 04:14:58 AM
Yeah i am getting a message saying open cl was not found and then the choice to close the program or search online for a solution.  SO i guess my video card is not supported or something.  Is there a way around this can i run cg miner or am i stuck with this not working.  I had this message before.  What to do now.

Try updating you video card drivers, if you have onboard video on you motherboard mostlikely you dont have a gpu. You still have options, you can Cpu Mine, Ftc/Ltc/Cnc/yac. I would suggest Scrypt Miner and joining a Litcoin Pool.

As for the Butterfly labs stuff, there is a super long waiting list and you may get your device in a year or two, Id just spend the money on a decent graphics cards or 2.  You can google Litecoin Mining Hardware Comparison to see which video card will be best to buy and it shows what they are capable off
660  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to SAFELY sell Bitcoins on eBay on: May 12, 2013, 04:03:04 AM
Its like any digital item there is risk, the key is to lower your risk. It is not against the rules to sell crypto on ebay, like selling any item the better you seller rating the less you have to worry about. The people getting screwed from paypal are the folks way over charging for BTC or other cryptocoins. If you are to sell them its should be near the actual marked price for the coin. All Ebay and Paypal are doing is protecting consumer from fly by night head busters.  Ebay and Paypal require real work to make sure everything is smooth and fair to both sides.

My post above is was Paypal told me to do while selling digital products. I have not sold Btc but is digital so should still comply as long as everything is fair.

Also we are getting close to when Ebay and Paypal may accept Btc, if they do stop User's selling Btc its just so they have meet on the bone so they can get in on the action.  It is not a disservice to give people real info and real options if they decide to join in.
