1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thank you BitcoinTalk Community! Proof that you are all AWESOME! on: September 13, 2014, 01:34:15 PM
most of you don't know me, those who followed the original threads do know me, I'm now Mrs DobZombie (I checked, I can't change my username)

I wasn't able to thank this community enough for the help and support they gave us, the little gift I sent to each of those that helped was definitely not enough so I did ask the husband to share some photos with you all to see what you helped us with. After the year and a half that we had leading up to the time that DobZombie made his original post was hell for both of us, the hack topped it all off.

so thank you very much to each and every member of this community who helped us out and showed massive support, you've helped us get happy again and be in the right place for a happy future - you have no idea how much this meant to me that you did help and I will never be able to thank you enough

Glad to see this worked out for the two of you.

Wish you guys the best!

thanks for the support, smoothie

if we had a stop-over in Hawaii we would've organised to have a drink with you Smiley

Really does my spirit good to see the community get together to help out with this.  Big kudos to the fella that took up the remaining slack...even if he is Australian :p

Have an amazing honeymoon guys! Smiley

lol...he's not Australian, but we are....

well done guys and girls

Aussie, Aussie, Aussie!!
5  Economy / Lending / Re: I've been hacked, and now I'm screwed (Can anyone help with a loan?) on: July 03, 2014, 01:12:08 AM
Congrats Dob. I was just about to send you some when I realized you've met your goal. Do you need any more BTC by any chance?

we did reach the goal with massive thanks to Odi...any further loans will mean extra churros (I love those things...nom nom) while on honeymoon

upon return we will be fixing up everything on the museum site that could possibly be affected (the BTC address for example) and my jewellery site (until then I'm having a sale on the fb page that's not on the site), and taking any donations of physical items, speeding their upload to the site and "re-launching" with everything secure

if you have any items you would like to donate send either of us a pm and we can sort things out  Grin
6  Economy / Goods / Re: I got hacked, MUSEUM HAS BEEN SAVED! THANKS EVERYONE FOR YOUR KINDNESS!!! on: July 02, 2014, 11:43:23 PM
Is it possible to still get  a bitcoin condom or is bidding over?

due to a wonderful member of the community stepping forward and offering a loan to cover the remaining amount the bidding was stopped and the auction was cancelled

all I could suggest is possibly contacting the person we purchased the condom from, owenprescott, to see if he still has some

I hope this helps  Smiley

Great news guys!  I would like to donate a Silver Wallet to the museum if you want one!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=525756.msg5833667#msg5833667

DZ says they look sexy...the donation will be greatly welcomed to the collection for the museum

what I would suggest, though, is to wait until we return from our honeymoon before any physical items are donated to the museum, to ensure speedy arrival and loading to the site (upon return I will be busy photographing and DZ uploading), send Dob a pm to organise the logistics of getting the Silver Wallet into the museum

I'm not gonna lie to say that I am a bit disappointed too  Grin but congrats guys!!! The btc community rocks!
I am a bit disappointed too, even though that makes me sound like an ass. I really looked forward to have some more Bitcoin collectables. I am very happy that people helped you out so much, that is great to see!

you're allowed to feel a little disappointed, and no that doesn't make you "sound like an ass"...

it's you guys taking part in this, your words of support and encouragement, that helped us out the most - you have all truly restored my faith in the BTC community and I really hope we can all stay banded together and take this awesome community forward into the future

I seem to take months off these forums as I get busy IRL, I just happened to be looking in the Goods section today to buy something to recoup recent electricity costs and saw the museum items up for sale.  This perplexed me, so I read through all the threads and their Facebook public pages.  I have loaned the remainder of what they need to get their wedding and honeymoon funded and to keep the museum together.  I myself have a mini museum of my 5770's, MMQ, Avalon B3, and Bitfury, so I know what that feeling is all about.

you are a very wonderful person for helping us out...I have no idea what to say and not get all gushy

from the bottom of my heart I thank you very much for helping us out
10  Economy / Lending / Re: Museum saved, thank you for your interest on: July 02, 2014, 07:11:52 AM
in the last hour we have had a wonderful member of this bitcoin community step forward and offer a loan for the remaining 10 coin needed to recoup the stolen amount - this means that none of the items will be sold and the museum will remain intact

I would like to thank everyone who has assisted us in loans and donations towards this amount, you have all restored my faith in the BTC community and I am now typing with eyes full of tears

and I would also like to say to everyone who showed an interest in this auction that I thank you for your support and kind words. Thanks to you guys the museum will not be getting split up, if you all hadn't got the word out there we would not have received the loans and donations that we did.

just letting everyone know that DobZombie will be finishing work soon and then jumping on as soon as possible after this to let everyone know what is happening Smiley
15  Economy / Goods / Re: [RARE ITEMS] I got hacked, I'm now forced to take offers on RARE Museum items on: July 01, 2014, 01:21:23 PM
The bitbill is still loaded, correct?

it's still loaded

bitbills are very, very, very rare and were the very first physical bitcoin
16  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: MINING for DobZombie WEEKEND - June 28 & 29 ! Help him out please ! on: July 01, 2014, 08:57:39 AM
The weekend is over. I hoped more people would join  Undecided but we mined a total of 0.22015309 BTC for Dob and Noella  Grin

you have been awesome for setting this up and helping us out - thank you for your support  Grin
17  Economy / Goods / Re: [RARE ITEMS] I got hacked, I'm now forced to take offers on RARE Museum items on: July 01, 2014, 08:56:38 AM
Is there any way of getting these?
1   Pharaoh BitBill by johnniewalker
1   Atlas BitBill by johnniewalker

thank you for your interest in the auction and your bids for a couple of the items

the Pharaoh BitBill and Atlas BitBill are not available for sale/action as these items were donated directly to the museum and therefore sponsored by johnniewalker - the items that you bid on were purchased by DobZombie or myself and therefore able to be sold/auctioned (sadly splitting the museum up)

all I could suggest is contacting johnniewalker direct to see if he has any stock remaining for sale, I hope this helps Smiley

Got two failed phishing attempts to scam potential bidders, you fools really think we are that stupid?

sorry but...

go fuck yourself.

I don't understand. Who are you talking to?
Who is trying to phish you and how?

theres scammers that watch the action area and then they make an account with almost the same name as the seller and try to get the buyers to send the payment to them

Right here...
