1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinTracking - Profit/Loss Portfolio and Tax Reporting for Digital Currencies on: April 19, 2018, 10:00:52 PM
Why manual import isn't working?

It works fine its just the data structure that it requires does not match up with the way transactions are exported from cryptobridge

Does anyone have a spreadsheet that would allow the user to import the CSV export from cyrptobridge into one tab and than another tab would import that data and restructure it to meet the cointracking csv import?

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Asus B250 Mining Expert with server PSU on: January 13, 2018, 09:45:20 PM
Can I run the following config with a B250?

Main ATX PSU plugged into group A connectors and also powering risers and GPUs, and than have another group that is powered by a server PSU? I wasnt sure if this would work since the board seems to want a 24 pin and 4 pin molex in each GPU group.

Also I was able to run the board with 4 gpus in group a with one atx power supply but as soon as I add a second atx power supply to group b it will not power up? What could cause this? Group B does not have any GPUs its just the power supply is that the reason? I did not want to hook up more GPUs until I got it to power up but maybe it has to see something in Group B PCIE slots if there is a power supply in the respective group.

Will smos work with Asus B250 Mining Expert? I put it on a flash drive but it is not recognized as a bootable drive.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Asrock H81 Pro BTC not booting and no usb on: January 09, 2018, 10:18:09 PM
My H81 was working great for the last six months and than I recently had a riser go bad and its been all downhill from there. When I powered up the display shows that the RTC has been reset press F1 to skip and F2 to go into settings. My keyboard is def good and I dont get any response or lights on the keyboard regardless of the port I use. Unfortunately  I dont have a usb to header cable to test it there and have not had a PS2 keyboard in some time so Im not sure what else to try. Has anyone ever had this issue? Is my board probably bad?

thanks

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Can a PSU be "shared" between two systems on: January 07, 2018, 02:39:33 AM
See pic for a schematic, is there any reason I shouldent use the same power supply to power a motherboard when that power supply is powering GPUs that are attached to another motherboard via pcie risers. The other motherboard in question is on a separate ps
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 20 Amp Surge Protector Options? on: January 03, 2018, 11:59:28 AM
Thanks I overlooked eaton they have some nice stuff. So do most people run surge protection on there rigs or just a PDU with overcurrent protection?

What you are looking for is a PDU.

Cyberpower makes a number of them that are switched and have per outlet power metering.  They are enterprise and you will pay for it.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06VWKT483/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I1YRCULEX6VQ1O&colid=3K07ZW4V6TVWR&psc=0

The one I listed works with 120v and 240v.

If that unit where smaller and had surge protection it would be perfect. That said surge protection could be a separate device. Problem is I need three of whatever model I decide on. Each rig is in the neighborhood of 1800 watts so I can't plug multiple rigs into one unit.

I listed that one because it does 20A.  I believe it does does have over current protection where it switches off the port/outlet when you go over the desired amp rate you set in the web gui.

They make a larger version for both 120v and 240v.  Both of these have breakers for each bank of ports.  The one's that only meter the entire PDU are significantly cheaper if thats all you are looking for.  Per Port amp metering is what makes these expensive.

240v 30A

120v 30A

And there are even larger 3 phase PDU's.

Companies that make decent PDU's for enterprise.

Eaton
APC
Tripplite
Cyberpower

are you looking for a surge protector or  a switchable PDU with remote monitoring with energy consuption monitor ??

Ideally all three but maybe thats not a thing, so at min a good surge protector rated for 20 amps that only has one or two outlets. Second priority is remote switching and third is consumption monitor
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / 20 Amp Surge Protector Options? on: January 01, 2018, 01:13:24 AM
Is there such a product that has the following requirements or most of them?
  • 20 amp plug
  • 120 volt input
  • Remote power switching capable
  • energy consumption monitor

Most of the products that do energy monitoring are low end consumer products that not mean for 24/7 high loads, i tried the tplink switch thats rated for 15a and its is warm to the touch while im pulling 970 watts. All of the 20 amp surge protectors that Im seeing are the typical rack mount pdus which seem a little excessive to plug in two power supplies. The energy consumption is nice to have but not that important as I dont really need to monitor it 24/7 and if I do than I could use one of the inductive aeon labs meters.

I would like to add some more cards to my H81, just curious if anyone has sucesfully done 9 cards with one of these?

Thanks

I have one and it works well. will probably have to run uefi bios and OS boot with more than 7-8 cards

Are you running that same model? How many cards are you running?

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZEN] ZenCash: Private, Secure, Resilient CryptoCurrency with zk-SNARKs on: December 17, 2017, 02:24:03 AM
what is this compared to zcash do you think?
With Secure Nodes (3500 Nodes already) and with future implementation of Decentralised Governance..Ask yourself why Zcash? Cool

But is it sustainable? since the incentive to run a secure node is decreasing as more come online, unless of course the price goes up accordingly.

I seem to be getting a much lower hashrate than others using the 1070.

Code:
Temp: GPU0: 58C GPU1: 59C GPU2: 61C GPU3: 64C GPU4: 60C
GPU0: 176 Sol/s GPU1: 189 Sol/s GPU2: 187 Sol/s GPU3: 190 Sol/s GPU4: 188 Sol/s
Total speed: 930 Sol/s

This is on ubunutu 16.04 and im running it as follows
./miner --server zec.suprnova.cc --user XXXX.XXX --pass x --port 2142  --cuda_devices 0 1 2 3 4

How can I troubleshoot this?

What are your overclock settings.
Should be getting 400+ sol/s card at the very least

No OC is that the issue? Im running it on a headless server and could not find any instructions related to overclocking without a desktop environment.
