Along with Chelsea's unbelievable comeback I have equalized it against jayce. There are two different questions of us left. I hope that I manage to reach the same points with the leader by getting 3 points by being successful on the remaining questions. (I turned off the Chelsea-Manu match in the 85th minute. I was shocked when I saw the result. Tongue)

I never thought that I would lose this many points because of choosing Salah as the captain. I also didn't understand why Salah left the match while the score was 1-1. If it goes on like this I won't be able to win any prize.

Manchester City have been experiencing difficulties against teams at top places this season. Today Guardiola tried a different tactic by leaving Haaland on the bench and became successful about this. Do you think this result they got would threaten Haaland's place in the starting eleven or do you think it is only a one-match thing?
124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 23/24 European basketball discussion: Euroleague/BBL/ACB/LegaA/LNB/TBL.. on: April 03, 2024, 10:34:15 PM
I absolutely have the same idea. However as basketball absolutely needs new sources financially I wouldn't oppose to this move. I think that one of the most reasonable solutions is that final four matches to be played in Dubai or another Middle East country.

The only thing that I want to say is that the Turkish league has a right to be represented by more than 2 teams. But I don't know what would happen about this topic next season. For now the biggest candidate to join as the 3rd team looks like Beşiktaş.
Lack of money is actually probably main issue in Euroleague. Offcourse, it's impossible to compete with football, but still, things like TV contracts, sponsorships, prize money is ridiculously low in Euroleague. When NBA bench warmer is getting more money than Euroleague stars, it's getting hard to attract good players.
Besiktas isn't very stable team, now it looks ok, but just last season there was some big delays with paying salaries that some players even left team. And now it seems that Bourg is closer to Eurocup final, leading in 4th quarter of decisive game. But yeah, I agree about that 2 Turkish clubs in Euroleague isn't enough.

I absolutely agree with you on this topic. I also think that an invitation should be given for only 1 season already. For teams to make more money the interest in basketball in Europe should increase more. Germany is quite good about this topic. They have started to fill stadiums in every match. They have got amazing achievements at national team level also in the recent years.

I was never expecting Foden to make a hat-trick today. I can see that only spack17 has Foden at top. The sadder thing for me is that my opponent in the second chance league igebotz has Foden. Even though we are just at the beginning of the league he has gained a big advantage. Sad

It was a quite bad gw for me generally.

I was thinking that Tottenham would win to qualify for the Champions League next season. However they lost 2 points by getting a 1-1 draw. As of this result my opponent jayce has gained an important advantage already now. However we still have 3 more questions ahead of us to change the result. Especially because of thinking that Red Bull would win by landslide this week I'm confident about my answer to the F1 question.

Yeah 3 teams from the same city doesn't make too much sense.
Sure the Turkish fan base of every team is always strong and guarantees a great atmosphere but still it's a bit off.
While it looks that Euroleague now is looking for expansion to the Middle East and adding team from Dubai. Offcourse, it's all about the money and I'm not big fan of such expansion. First, this team most likely won't get much interest from locals and all teams would get one extra long trip to Dubai.

You're overconfident and couldn't give up 1mBTC for 4mBTC. I'm giving CLS63 the biggest challenge of his life down that pit hole. I'm struggling to fit Salah into my team; he's a possible TC this game week, but it may also be a trap.

Frankly you are still the biggest favourite of this league because of still having TC. Stil if I do my best I think that I have a chance to win 4 mbtc. This week hasn't started well for me. I couldn't get a good return from the players in my squad until now. I hope my Salah captain choice would make me get one step forward.

Newcastle absolutely deserved to win today. However the injures that haven't left the team in peace since beginning of the season showed itself today as well. Dummett who has been able to find very few chances for years entered the match and right after that he caused his team to lose 2 points by making a mistake clumsily.

The deadline is changing, now it's Tuesday April 2nd, 17:00 GMT.

We had the time change from winter to summer so be careful not to miss it.
Considering that I'm really bad with timezones, in local time the Newcastle - Everton game starts at 20:30. You need to submit 1,5 hours before that.
I really hope that's 17:00 GMT, otherwise I need to go back to school.

I'm relieved for not missing this change.  Grin  Because after forgetting to make prediction and what it cost me in the previous season I'm trying to be extra careful to not miss the deadline. Penalties are even heavier this season so it is also helping me to focus on making my prediction in time. This week I'm playing against jayce who is the only person without a single loss in Division 1. I will try to get my team ready after an exhausting week.

Tottenham are really likely to seal the champion's fate in the remaining weeks. They have matches to play against all the title challengers in the remaining time of the season. By the way Liverpool have captured a really good advantage by last week results. They have taken the lead. I hope Liverpool finish the season ahead of Arsenal because of having a side bet to win. Tongue

I feel that Liverpool can become the champions one last time with Klopp before he leaves as well. This would be a great parting gift to him.

I think that McLaren is not that far behind, they were racing extremely fast in the last few laps of the race making fastest lap out of fastest lap until Leclerc managed to get the better lap out of them. The problem was that both Ferrari was running very fast like McLaren was and judging from what they have achieved last year I am sure they have gathered valuable data to implement better upgrades than last season and who knows we may have a trio this time,McLaren and Ferrari like old times however in this case both fighting the Redbull "evil".The more teams upgrade their cars during this season the better for us all.

In the last race the gap wasn't huge of course. But it is going to be really challenging for McLaren to get ahead of them in constructor standings. Probably it won't happen either as long as Ferrari don't mess up big time. But there is a really serious chance for McLaren to finish ahead of Mercedes after this great start. Especially if McLaren get another big update like in the previous season it can be more possible.

I wonder what's going on with Mercedes. This is a really terrible start. Russell's crash was unfortunate maybe but Hamilton got an engine failure.

Kendisi böylesine sağlam oynamaya devam ederse ben All-Star'a girme şansının gelecek sezon fazlasıyla artacağını düşünüyorum. Kariyeri açısından önemli bir gelişme olur.  Smiley
139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 23/24 European basketball discussion: Euroleague/BBL/ACB/LegaA/LNB/TBL.. on: March 30, 2024, 06:43:28 PM
I think that Turkish league is 2nd best in Europe after Spanish ACB. I agree that they deserve to have more than 2 teams in Euroleague, but I think it's impossible to see Besiktas in Euroleague without winning Eurocup. I doubt that Euroleague wants to see 3 teams from same city, they're not already happy with 2 teams from Belgrade in Euroleague. And Besiktas had not high attendance during whole season, they only moved to bigger arena for playoffs.
Meanwhile Paris won 2nd game against London Lions and goes to Eurocup final.

If Beşiktaş qualify for the Euroleague I'm pretty sure that their stadium is going to be full in every game. I agree with you on the 3 teams from the same city topic. However when we think that the population of Istanbul is nearly 20 million maybe Euroleague board can act more flexible about this topic.
140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 23/24 European basketball discussion: Euroleague/BBL/ACB/LegaA/LNB/TBL.. on: March 29, 2024, 10:19:43 PM
Beşiktaş fans absolutely deserve to be in the Euroleague. The new president of Beşiktaş is an old basketball player and he said when he was a candidate that he would do his best to carry the team to the Euroleague. Even if they don't win the Eurocup maybe they can play in the Euroleague with an invitation next year. Frankly when we think that the Turkish Basketball League is one of the most quality leagues in Europe I don't think it is fair to join the Euroleague with only 2 teams.
