I hope youre right... but try to be new miner. He comes to this forum read all this thread and what he see? ofc if you ignore my posts, slovakia, adrian and few other "trashtalking" users. last 40 pages are almost about huge problems with minning(pool crashes, miner crashes, mandatory updates) no posibility to sell coin(if we cant sell bbp, so how we suport oprhans?) and ridiculous mn fee for really young coin. And ofc how can i forget some posts from new users(post counter under 5) who are REALLY supporting this great project.
If devs don't do anything our beloved rank 666 on coinmarketcap will be only a dream...

This is a new coin still (barely 6 months old).  Look around and see what other small coins of the same age are doing?  Not much.  Sure there are a few outliers but they're mostly ICO's and coins with huge pre-mines generally rehashing other coins under a new name.  The exchanges are independent, and most small coins this age have none other than a few that do "internal exchanges" which is typically a warning flag that it might be problematic.  1.5M coins for a MN is a lot, it's not the 30M Linda needs, but considering this coin is based on DASH which needs 1000 DASH for a Masternode and this coin has 1000x the supply, we're still in the same ballpark.  Don't forget the MN "fee" doesn't go anywhere, you still control it like in every other MN coin.
I was taking rather about that 40% from block go to mn;)
Imo 1,5mln bbp for mn is ok... but as i wrote in last year i prefer that thins 1,5mln bbp go for oprhans. It will be uniqe but it will build stronger connetcion mn owner with coin.
How many mn we have now and how much was on start of mn?
BTW on forum is thread about best cpu mineable coins and someone mention bbp there and after few posts other guy (with around 100 posts so no "bot") wrote almost same issues like me in last post and call "strange" coin.
He also wrote there is NO info about is there any pool where you can mine bbp and he is right(there is info in guides but not every one read them).
But on main page is this type of info:"The block reward breakdown is as follows:
100 Reward (example)
10 : Charity (sponsoring orphans, 100% goes to the orphans)
10 : Sanctuary network (goes live at Christmas of 2017 - allows for rewards for running full sanctuary nodes, allows the coin to become a Charitable DAO organization, fully running by the community itself)    (Note this is 0 for the first 40000 blocks)
80 : Block Subsidy to the Node who mined the block using POB"
It's a bit OUT of date...

that huge coin value drop... is "empty mn value" happening?
or botnet make sellout cuz of pol?

The price has not been accurate no one could deposit new bbp or withdraw bitcoin or vice versa for the last month. People with bbp already on c-cex are selling because they can withdraw bitcoin now (I believe. I haven't tried) and maybe in anticipation of botnet dumping coins once bbp wallet is out of maintenance mode.

most likely BN will keep coin for MN. more profitable
and i think (insted of togo useless spam) that people try to sell their coins. Because they see that coin have huge problems w pool mining(botnet, mandatory, etc) and they only get 40% from block. so for simple people there is no deal to mine... Rob should be sad about this if he still belives in thing that he said on begnning?
calculation is simple:
I have 1$, if i go to church and give it for oprhans so i will give oprhans 1$, but if i use this dollar for minning bbp. There is 20% chance that i will get reward from block on pool. but only 10% of this amount will go to oprhans.
For simple people there is no reson to mine this coin... because they will not help oprhans and only waste their energy and make reason for some fat fishes will launch mn. AMEN

should somebody just dump a bag of coins in your wallet  ?
you have an opportunity to get them and share profit for the charity.

You can't buy my silence Grin
What is wrong/lie im my post?
If  i'am wrong so why leaderboard is so short in pool? Why people stop minning?

Now that C-CEX is partially up (on the bitcoin side, not on the BBP side), I have paid this months Orphan Recurring expenses successfully.

If you navigate (in the pool) to Orphans | Orphan Fundraisers, and Orphans | Expenses Paid, you can see that after being in business for 6 full months, we have finally broken even!

So on a positive note, Biblepay is self-sustaining in the most basic sense: It is now supporting 189 orphans around the world on its own!  Congratulations all of you warm hearted tithers!

Although we met the milestone (using superblocks and being self sustaining) finally (since as of last month, we had a deficit of $10k), on the downside we do not have a surplus yet, here is the grand total state of biblepay:

$37,691 income to date
$37,267 expenses to date

(Well, yes, we do have a $500 surplus now), but my point is we still have had only barely enough to cover the recurring expenses and have not yet paid orphan premiums in advance as we plan to.

With the superblocks at 40 day spacing, and the budgets at almost half of what they were when we started, its going to be close, but I also believe we have an extremely bright future, along with the state of the sinking economy, and crypto in general - a very bright future.

(On a side note, we plan to fix the block spacing, the network hashps, and the superblock funding levels in testnet to have changes ready for the next mandatory that may include POL, so that effect should be resolved).
so you wana tell us that Rob did this? lol

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay - New Coin Launch - Official Thread on: January 14, 2018, 05:43:01 PM
i think botnet is not problem, because this mandatory update was too quick to apply and many blocks are still solved outside of pool - so this must be solo mining.... huge solo mining

What mandatory update?

It usually sits at an HPS2 of 20-25k (so it's 1/4th as effective as my dual Xeon machines using 1/50th of the electrical power  Grin).

Great job on the Pi man!
I really do not know if there is anything to be happy, that many of miners are waste power and killing planet...

P.S.it's  good to see that nothing was changed in this matter since september...

Hi,
is there any chance to run a CPU miner for BibblePay on a centos7 on PPC(powerpc) 6.4?

thank you
Daniel

almost certainly.. Smiley have you  compiled miners/wallets before on that platform?

Regarding the endless questions about the pool rewards, there is far less hashpower there than people think. Maybe only 1 - 2 MHs. So the total networkhashrate could be as low 5 MHs. Anyone with a bunch of powerful CPUs will be better off solo mining as 1. they won't be subsidising us little guys and 2. they won't be paying pool fees. The only way for the pool to get more blocks is to put more hash on it, and perhaps preferably in a few big chunks rather than 100s of little workers. Suggestions anyone?

Referring to the  big chunks vs little workers :  In my experience it has been untill now  still far more efficient to operate with 16 x 1 vCPU   instead of  one 16 threads CPU (e.g. Ryzen1700)

Yes, best to mine with vCores due to shares system, more boxes = more shares

Exactly. But the shares system is only on the pool, isn't it? Or does it apply to solo as well?
By the way, how much hashps does that Ryzen give with 16 threads?
hasps = 7 k.  I have just got the latest version of wallet and will try now to operate solo for a few days and see how much luck i will have...

wasnt it around  100k on 8/16 ryzen?

Hi guys,

Do you think it is good idea for new pool? I am in favor of keeping our powers bundled until we figure out what the cause is why we are hitting less blocks, after that it will indeed be a good idea to get another pool to spread hashing power a bit.
I am very happy with past updates and active community, especially the development team, PR and moderators. Keep up the good job. I truly believe in the cause.
Have a wonderful day people.

It's not a good idea. If someone is hitting those blocks is because he (or they) has the hashpower to do so. Spreading in more pools will make no difference for that matter.
If you would read the thread you will know taht main reason why people want to create new pool is huge fee(was any poof that pool was hacked) and unknown reason why owner of pool don't want to answer on simple questions, but only write "this is trash talk, youre not true chistian.

P.S. togo new account?

Dear Rob
Can you tell me?
Why? Our mining project to get low coins?
Maybe i am error for test , the info below

1 PC = 24 core = share 48
1 PC = 24 core (tested 1 of 1vCPU = total 24 vPC ) = share 91
1 PC = 24 core (tested 1 of 4vCPU = total 6 vPC) = share 62
Same PC ~Same Ram ~Same network

Big Share= get more coin  or not?

I called top of 3 big dog to tested . This is correct detail data.
Please fix the problem.

If you feel this is good at BBP future that you keep doing that.
Big pool fee is ok , I support.
But low coin of day that is not good.
 Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh
I hope BBP will being just, fair and open.
I don't want any misunderstanding . Please explain. Love BBP Love this coin.

Thanks Rob ,Have are nice day

From Hong Kong ...Man

This problem is since... relese. Earlier in old topic Rob said he  wont change it because he want to support small minners with low core cpus.
But I think, You already know from this topic that multiwallet is your 24 core cpu best friend  Roll Eyes especially since Rob takeoff limitation of solutions per ip from pool?

I had finished the test about the gain of BBP.

Testing equipment : Machine A & B are Dual L5630 CPU (2.4Ghz 8Core16Thread), all setting are same except cpu core setting
Machine C : AMD Ryzen Pro 1700X (3.4Ghz 8Core16Thread)
-----------------

machine A:
each VM with 2 core (around 410HSP) , Total 8 VM in 9hours BBP Gain = 196.2544
BBP per hour = 21.80604444

machine B :
each VM with 1 core(around 200HSP) , Total 16VM in 9hours BBP Gain = 486.0898
BBP per hour = 54.00997778

Machine C :
All CPU resource used by one BBP process(8500HSP), Each Day = 309.3764
BBP per hour = 12.89068333

This is undoubtedly a disadvantage for high-performance machines in current BBP calculate method.

High cost of high-performance machines but the return rate is lower than the low performance machine.

For example, John pay $ 1000 a day for machine rent to get 5000 BBP
Peter pay $200 a day and gets the same 5000 BBP
I do not think anyone wants to be John....

The huge question for machine A, the fast ryzen, is it running competetive mining?
The elephant in the room here is since we have the anti-GPU feature, the low-nonce limiter, the first thing a fast machine will be doing is hashing faster per second, using up all its nonces.

Please check to see if the fast testbed is running competetivemining=true?

Low performance for ryzen is ok@bbp 2017
Low performance for ryzen is bad@bbp 2018
World is going forward;)

Any rumors about new markets?
@Bible_pay?

Or at least one working market, because one is on maintenance and the other is offline/updating datacenter and showing only useless cached pages Cheesy

What? CoinsMarkets is down too, oh no "last man standing" is down... Wink

still dont want to believe that POOL with 2.3MHs got only Blocks Mined (24 hour period):   51 (25%) = this numbers is last 8 days and diff changed
 Undecided

something is wrong with pool´s setup

biblepay: can you to change pool fees from 15% to back 2% its no need to get so much BBP for you
I think something is wrong, look at leaderborad, on hps and shares of four first users... what is true shares or hps?

I don't understand, is it real ROI 24000% per year for now?!
6250 coins for MN?
Mn costs 1,5mln bbp.
