1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What will happen when the DeepOnion Airdrop ends? on: January 25, 2018, 09:06:28 PM
The majority of people who dont believe in the project will for certain dump as they can then realize profits, But i think the people who have actually contributed to the environment will hold.

Just like when bitcoin is selling off, The people who have faith in the technology around the protocol dont just panic dump.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Insane Experiment: Turn $1000 into $20 Million with Elon Musk and SpaceChain (.) on: January 25, 2018, 09:01:25 PM
"friend of a guy that no one actually knows the identity of"

Is this for real?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 1000x crypto on: January 25, 2018, 08:55:43 PM
This guys first post is him screaming in all caps that he has an IQ of "180" and to buy into a coin that is going to go 1000x without any technical analysis presented.

Wellll.... Looks like i HAVE to go all in.. haha.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC process and reasons for rejection: Is crypto still fair? on: January 25, 2018, 08:48:44 PM
I think the KYC regulations are ultimately going to help the space, But it all depends on if they do it correctly. Seems crazy for them to reject a customer's information if it all checks out, But that would imply that they are cross checking the info with other databases.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Robinhood Crypto Trading on: January 25, 2018, 07:37:33 PM
For whose money will the exchange exist? Who will pay for the equipment, ervers. It also requires high costs for sacurity and personnel. Most likely it's just a marketing move to attract new customers. But after a while a fee will be introduced and the exchange will turn into the usual one.

Robin hood already has a large infrastructure built out around the current trading platform for stocks. I am sure if they offer a mobile exchange that is stable, They will have a massive amount of people flocking to trade crypto, Especially from their phone.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You can buy KFC chicken by Bitcoin on: January 25, 2018, 07:28:51 PM
" Thank you,  Your 4 dollar meal is now 33.28 after fees and taxes!"

Once fees are fixed, This wont be as big of a deal.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Spectrecoin (XSPEC) price prediction on: January 25, 2018, 07:13:29 PM
Price will remain roughly the same if they are unable to implement stealth staking, If they do implement stealth staking, it will probably go higher. Talking in absolutes is silly business though.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If Amazon were to announce Bitcoin support on Feb 2nd.... on: January 25, 2018, 05:38:19 PM
obviously it would be best to hold bitcoin exclusively, But the fees and transactional latency will not allow this to happen. customers would spend so much on fees for the majority of items.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XSPEC SCAM on: January 16, 2018, 09:19:35 PM
Anyone who spent at least 10min reading about this coin knows this is at worst a promising coin and at best one of the top anonymous coins; people got excited over it and started promoting it in lots of threads on this forum (which can be annoying and mistaken for a marketing scheme) but with them, the opposite type of people sprouted, trying their hardest to bring arguments against it.

This is still a coin with a low market cap for now and with no popularity until recently so why are some users so invested in promoting xspec as a bad coin? I tend to believe some (or maybe most) just try to bring the coin value low so they can buy more coins now when it's still cheap.

This guy gets it. Couldnt agree more. The worst part is that people who are not well researched see the misinformation as fact and then continue to spread the misinformation.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is spectrecoin a scam? on: January 16, 2018, 07:35:39 PM
At first glance it looks like generalizethis is trolling, but if you look at the bigger picture, it appears generalizethis is actually participating in the shills as there is now a poll concluding that spectre is not a scam and another highly visible spectre thread.

Or perhaps I'm just pointing out that the devs have yet to prove how they are going to build anonymous staking. I've pointed out dubious claims before and have had to deal with armies of noobs (sock puppets), so nothing new in that regard.

By your logic, Every car manufacturer that has claimed that they will set the bar higher than other manufacturers, Needs to release the complete technical white paper on said vehicle, Down to the drag coefficients, Type of bearings used, effective suspension geometry, Drive train specs... etc.

Did you call tesla a scam when they said they were going to release a car that didnt use petrol as the energy source? Would it have been in tesla's best interest to release every specification on their ground breaking platform before they released it? No, Because the competitors that are MUCH more well funded could have used that template and implemented it prior to tesla ever having a working product.

Simply just trying to use an analogous situation so that you can wrap your head around what is going on here. Doesnt seem like its that complicated, But it may just be a simple case of inflated ego/ignorance going on here.

Regardless, Dont spread misinformation unless you have tangible proof that said coin is in fact a scam.

If a car manufacturer promises a moonmobile that is powered by unicorn farts, yes, I would expect some explanation and I would call scam if they have no basis for making such a claim.

Want to shut me up, post how anonymous staking works, you don't even have to explain it in detail, just a rough sketch. Right now it's a claim and nada--not even a dev identification to base an opinion on prior work.

I get where your coming from, This kind of thinking would vastly improve alot of areas outside of the crypto ecosystem. Health sciences for instance, If it were more of an open source forum for discovering new cures for diseases, Instead of a rat race of individual companies trying to find the cure and patent it, the whole system would evolve much quicker. But it isnt, And you cant expect to change the core ideas on how society works just because you want to know exactly how their anonymous POS works.

I certainly dont want to shut you up, Youre asking the important questions, But realize, Youre not gonna have the answer until its released.

Also, In terms of " if a car manufacturer promises a moonmobile" blah blah, You do realize tesla has claimed their new hyper car will be doing 0-60 in 1.9 seconds.(faster than any other production car) Thats a consistent 1.44 G's of acceleration... I would consider that a "moonmobile" and i dont see any published spec's on the amount of power their AC induction motors are going to consume.... Must be a scam.

I wholeheartedly agree with this poster.

Just trying to look at it from his perspective, But if you do everything in the world becomes a scam.. hahah.

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRB - Raidblocks must buy??? on: January 15, 2018, 10:29:11 PM
Seems extremely volatile, Did the majority of IOTA holders shift their funds to this coin? This market is downright crazy with the amount of volatility in the past couple weeks.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Spectrecoin predictions on: January 10, 2018, 10:49:45 PM
Does anyone know when the site is going to publish the 1.3.4 wallet for windows? i know it was released recently but not sure i want to trust it until it is published on the site.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Exchange KuCoin and KuCoin shares on: January 10, 2018, 08:05:38 PM
just registered a couple days ago and man, Does anyone else have difficulty logging in between 8 ish and 4 ish during the day? It seems like its impossible to get authenticated without it timing out.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is best PoS coin to invest into right now? on: January 10, 2018, 07:12:52 PM
From a staking percentage perspective? Deep onion as it is currently a 10% stake reward.

For all around best technical with emphasis on privacy/anonymity? XSPEC
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Etherium to reach bitcoin on: January 10, 2018, 07:08:58 PM
For etherium to hit 10k, that would require that almost 870 BILLION DOLLARS be invested. This would put it at a little over 4x what Bitcoins total market capitalization is. The total market cap would be north of 960 Billion dollars just in etherium. If that happens, Then that would certainly mean that the entire crypto space would have to be atleat 5 trillion based on etheriums current dominance...

18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2 Undervalued Coins That Could Explode!!! on: January 10, 2018, 04:55:56 PM
After looking into collosus, i think i may have to pick up 100$ worth of it. Just incase it does infact take off. the luring factor of bitcoin was anonymity and borderless payments. I do think that privacy/anonymity centric coins are going to take much of the market space.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best crypto to buy now? on: January 10, 2018, 04:53:23 PM
I am banking on the smaller security coins like xvg, xspec, onion and zoin to take off in 2018. These are almost exclusively what i am in.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Privacy getting important: Verge or Spectrecoin or DeepOnion?? on: January 10, 2018, 04:51:13 PM
based on tech alone, either xspec or verge. Although deep onion has done VERY well in the last couple months.

The Deep onion airdrop is more of a signature campaign than anything. But it provides a better distribution of coins this way instead of doing an ICO and allowing whales to gather a plethora. Also, the airdrop still has another 15 weeks i believe until its over so the price may correct once that happens.
