1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stable coin without algorithm or backing on: June 23, 2024, 01:11:10 PM
Creating a stablecoin without backing or an algorithm is tricky. In your idea, people send ETH to a smart contract, which checks ETH's USD value, gives tokens equal to that value, and burns the ETH. The challenge is keeping the token's price at $1.00.

Since there's no collataral, the price depends on market demand and supply, which can be unpredictable. If demand drops, so does the price. if demand spikes, the price could go over $1.00. Without a stabilizing mechanism, it's hard to keep it steady at $1.00, making this kind of stablecoin risky and likely to fluctuate a lot.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin the Dumbest Thing Ever Invented on: June 21, 2024, 01:57:33 PM
Some people like you might say Bitcoin is the dumbest thing ever invented because they don’t get it or see its value. But others see it as a revolutionary technology that changes how we think about money and finance. It's decentralized, which means no one controls it, and it can be sent anywhere in the world quickly and cheaply. It’s had a huge impact on tech and finance, even if it's not perfect. So, calling it the dumbest thing ever might be a bit harsh, but opinions definitely vary.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not get discouraged by the current price of Bitcoin on: June 21, 2024, 01:55:02 PM
Yeah, don't get too down about Bitcoin's current price. It's known for its wild price swings, going up and down a lot. What matters more is the long-term potential and the technology behind it. Many believe in its future and see current dips as opportunities to buy at a lower price. Just remember, investing in Bitcoin should be done with caution and as part of a diversified strategy. Keep an eye on the big picture, not just the day-to-day fluctuations.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will Bitcoin look like in the future? on: June 21, 2024, 01:22:08 PM
Predicting the future of Bitcoin is tricky. Since its start in 2009, Bitcoin's seen massive growth, adoption, and volatility.

Looking ahead, it could become more mainstream, with wider acceptance in commerce and as an investment. Regulations will likely tighten, which might bring stability but also challenges. Technological advancements could improve its scalability and security. However, it also faces competition from other cryptocurrencies and potential regulatory hurdles. The future’s uncertain, but Bitcoin’s likely to remain a significant player in the digital currency world.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a Retirement Bet on: June 21, 2024, 01:21:00 PM
For me, bitcoin as a retirement investment can be both exciting and risky. On one hand, it's gained a lot of value over the years and offers high growth potential. But on the other hand, it's super volatile and can lose value quickly.

For retirement, it's usually smart to have a diverse portfolio to spread out risk. So, putting a small percentage in Bitcoin might be okay, but relying heavily on it could be risky. Still, balancing it with more stable investments is key.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't you think you should invest in Bitcoin instead of burning your money in fire on: June 21, 2024, 05:22:39 AM
Honestly, putting your cash into Bitcoin might be the move. Instead of watching your money go up in smoke with some sketchy altcoins, Bitcoin's got a solid track record and mainstream hype. Sure, it has its ups and downs, but it's still the OG of crypto. Think of it as playing it smart in the wild world of digital coins.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Market seems in correction mood on: June 21, 2024, 05:19:07 AM
Actully the current correction in the crypto market, where altcoins and Bitcoin have seen a significant drop of 15% to 40%, can be attributed to multiple factors. Market corrections are natural after substantial gains, as investors often take profits, leading to temporary dips. moreover, the anticipation of Bitcoin halving next week could be causing volatility, as traders speculate on future price movements. Geopolitical events, such as the Iran-Israel conflict, might also be contributing to market instability, as uncertainty typically drives investors to safer assets. Overall, a combination of these factors is likely influencing the current market downturn.

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whoa, Ethereum breaks the $200 barrier on: February 08, 2020, 02:14:02 PM
Well I think its a good news for me. Maybe eth will be back to where it once was before. Still hoping a lot though.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Feel like quitting on: October 26, 2018, 04:04:07 PM
Well if you are just aiming to be a higher ranking member here, then unfortunately for you it will be very difficult. So maybe, you can try other ways of earning here aside from participating in signature campaigns which will give you more if you are higher in rank.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decision in panic! on: October 24, 2018, 01:15:09 PM
Well since you did not specify, Ill tell my story about how I panicked when I forgot my password in my wallet and the price of the coin I was about to sell is having a bull run.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Postponing ICO, a sign of negative market? on: October 23, 2018, 02:29:16 PM
Just recently PROFEDE has decided to postpone it's ICO.
https://profede.com/#problem
What are it's implecations? Do you have a similar experience with this one?

I think the developers are just aware that the current state of crypto is not the best to launch an ICO. And to top with that, investors at the moment are hesitating a lot because of the red market. So I think they are just waiting for the bull run to continue their projects and ICO.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have I lost it? on: October 16, 2018, 07:03:21 AM
Hello guys, I logged in one morning to notice that I have been brought back to newbies, instead of Jr member I was, or even promoted to a member.
I don't really know what happened. But I noticed seeing lot of people as newbies, and  I can't do any signature campaign again. what should I do, to gain my rank back. Please help if you have an idea.

Well that was unfortunate for you. Because even with the number of your activities, you still need at least 1 merit to be a jr. member. And as I have learned, it was hard to earn one. Try to read in the beginners and help thread, maybe youll find some tips on how to earn merits there.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am most worried now on: October 16, 2018, 06:59:24 AM
That was the collapse of ETH, because most of the airdrop and bounty programs were through the ERC-20 platform. Do you think the same thing happened?

I think it is common for anyone to be worried, especially if you are new to crypto. I was worried once too, but then realized that eventually, these prices will back, and as long as Im not selling my coins, I dont lose.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what's your problem in the bounty? on: October 13, 2018, 05:19:29 AM
In most cases, I meet managers who are not competent, they do not consider our steaks, often do not respond to messages. This is a very big problem.

I used to encounter these problems to but now I tried to particpate only in campaigns in which I knew the managers were good and updated. Saves you the trouble of asking a lot when you know thr rules of the manager.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what's your problem in the bounty? on: October 13, 2018, 05:17:04 AM
what's your problem when you undergo a bounty? or can you say what obstacles do you sometimes feel lazy to do or work on a bounty? perhaps all of you have some obstacles which you can share here and might be useful for others. please share your experience Smiley
One of the biggest problem for me when participating in bounties, especially in the signsture campaign is the deletion of posts, in which usually happens to me when in the end of the week  and make me lack my posts. Aside from that, Im all fine.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are there any upcoming ICOs on WAVES platform? on: October 11, 2018, 12:03:50 AM
Hi,
do you know of any ICO projects which are currently running or are going to use WAVES platform?

Or even a source where one can find such projects, so far i have been unsuccessful finding such source.

Currently I havent known any project from waves, unlike last year where there are bits of projects in waves. I actually have some coins, but it is not really that popular and the value is to cheap I think that is why there is little projects on waves platform.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why so many bounty campaign are extending? on: October 11, 2018, 12:00:13 AM
Due to lot of scammed ICO more investors lost their interest investing in ICO. Success rate of ICO decreased that is why bounty campaign period nowadays are extending. Do you agree?

Well I cant really say that most of the ICOs are extending beyond their schedule but there are really some that does that. The ICS nowadays I noticed have longer period of campaigns so I think they could have already anticipated this.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It can still happen again on: October 10, 2018, 11:52:51 PM
I was just thinking and imagining the bull run that happen toward the end of last year when the crypto market became a cake of enjoyment for everyone. The story is on the contrary now. I am wondering and disturbed that can it ever happen again? My wallet coins are reducing in value daily. I am not completely sure if it can happen again.... somehow I still have little believe it may. Do you think it will happen again?

There is a really great possibility that what happened last year could happen this time too and I think so many are also waiting for this to happen. The year end is coming and by December, i too am hoping that the bull run will re emerge.
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: For newbie, Why I choose bounty over ICO? on: October 09, 2018, 09:03:17 AM
I think you can do both but just dont give all out in investment. You can invest at small amounts and then gp higher when you feel comfortable. Participating in bounties too can make you earn and learn at the same time.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Long-term investment. on: October 09, 2018, 09:01:02 AM
How do you feel about long-term investment? Do you see the priorities in this? What do you think is the reason for this? Where to invest in your opinion?

Actually, I think long term investment has its own benefit since you can wait until the coins have multiplied n the amount you wanted to. But there are also sometimes that a coins can stay dormant and never grow and Ive seen lots of coins like these. Just invest in coins in at least the top 10 in CMC for assurance.
