1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HLM] HELIUM on: October 18, 2018, 10:34:18 AM
Its going to be a bloodbath when people wake up. Cryptopia just dropped nearly 3,7million HLM into wallets, so far about 40k has been sold. There is 6btc in buy support total and only 1.5btc over 5k sats.

I like the project, but the current price simply cannot hold. I will buy back in when things settle down in a week or so, buying the SPR for the snapshot owes me more than I have made from the sale so as of now I'm still negative, though not by much.

The only people who have made money from this so far were the Spreadcoin holders, and they stand to make more once they start dumping their free HLM. The key to the success of the coin will be coming together as a community and building value after the dust settles.

Thank you devs for delivering, I admire the motivation it must have required to stick with this through to launch knowing what would happen. With a strong dev team the value will recover.

This is an excellent miner. No malware warnings, no dodgy tcp connections to third party servers, stable and fast. Your fee is well earned, thank you for providing something of quality in this shitstorm.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HLM] HELIUM - PRE NOTICE on: March 18, 2018, 05:37:13 PM
That gives much more of an insight into how far along and how well planned this project is. Considering this is now at least a full quarter late to launch and was announced over a year ago, to say this is disappointing is an understatement. This should all have been dealt with at the planning stage before the coin was announced.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HLM] HELIUM - PRE NOTICE on: March 13, 2018, 11:11:31 PM
The next DASH developmental milestone would require considerable reworking of existing code. Rather than release Helium on the existing DASH codebase and then face a possible fork and a lot of rewriting of code they have chosen to wait. This is a logical choice, but shouldn't have been sprung on the community who invested in SPR to get into the airdrop expecting a much more imminent release.

You should also be aware that there will be some waiting period after the DASH update while our devs actually code and test Helium. I'm expecting a Q3 2018 release. Q2 would be a nice surprise.

Did you forget to put your underpants on your head while you smashed it? That could be why it didn't work. Sorry you'll have to buy a new MB and try again...
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: hsrminer - Nvidia mining software for various algos by palgin&alexkap on: January 21, 2018, 11:51:34 AM
As with Palgin's other miners, my pool results do not match my local reported speed. Since changing to this miner on my home mining rig the miner reported speed is around 500kh higher than my previous combination of tpruvot/1080ti and klausT/1070ti. However the reported speed at hashrefinery for that rig has now dropped to 300kh lower than before over the 12 hour test period.

Previous combined speed: 6.3kh
HSRMiner reported speed: 6.8kh
Pool average last 24hrs: 5.95kh

Since changing back an hour ago I am starting to see my pool graph go back to the previous 6.3kh. I don't know what you're doing with these miners you release Palgin, but I have yet to find one of your miners where the local reported speed is anywhere close to the actual performance.

Note: Tested Neoscrypt only, 388.something, win7 x64, coin switching pool.

Hope you can get to the bottom of this recurring issue, your miner software is very stable and I like the simplicity of the console output. I also like that I don't have to use a different miner for each card. The fee is reasonable, and will be well earned once the pool workrate matches the locally reported workrate.

I nearly didnt add this last part as I'm less than confident in my observations here, but it may help so here we go anyway. It's hard to tell but the hashrate dips may be related to large difficulty changes when switching between coin chains. I have not tested the miner directly mining a coin. This may give you a direction of investigation, please bear in mind my lack of confidence in this observation though! It would need testing with more granularity than is available on my pool graph.

Thats the risk we have to take for ICOs. Not all of them will go thru and that is why we need some kind of regulations to prevent such scams.

This wasn't an ICO you shitposting retard.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HLM] HELIUM - PRE NOTICE on: December 24, 2017, 01:50:11 AM
Some are always tempted into going balls deep, it's inevitable. I do understand the frustration though, its way beyond the expected launch window now and updates are far too few and far between. This will negatively affect price at launch as well. Much dumping.

Don't blame the team for the BTC increase, blame them for the lack of communication on here. Delays are acceptable when communication is good, the community can build when communication is good. This phase of launch has been sadly neglected.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VTR] vTorrent - Share with freedom | 2FA | HD | @Bittrex on: December 09, 2017, 04:46:38 PM
And last year someone accumulated 1.1million coins in 3 months (back then bittrex showed the top 50? wallet totals for each coin held by exchange users) right before the announcement of the wallet release that never came.

Saw the same post almost exactly a year ago. We're still waiting for that client release. Those of you who are saying the dev has never hyped this for a pump are talking shit. Either way, looking forward to my xmas bonus.

Do you have a fixed IP at home? You will need this.

Yeah...at home and at my mining locations. Looking at 6x2 MNs (2 per location), Raspberry Pi approach is just to give me something new to try. It all gets a bit boring otherwise Smiley.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HLM] HELIUM - PRE NOTICE on: December 02, 2017, 03:37:44 AM
I realise its unlikely anyone apart from a dev can answer this definitively, but I'm going to ask anyway. Will a Pi 3 be capable of running a node? I'd like to try it if the hardware is capable. If not what would i need? I know VPS hosting is the easiest and most obvious way forward, but I'm curious and have the bandwidth to spare. If the Pi 3 is too short on memory (I suspect this is where this issue will probably lie) then what specs of VM would be required? Any thoughts?

I wonder if keccak could be dual mined? Its run at maximum mem clock reduction, so could run side by side with ETH no? Just thinking you would get more peanuts if you offered something others didnt...

Thanks for your work Smiley
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1070 Ti benchmarked in Eth & Zec on: November 10, 2017, 08:38:12 PM
Around 115w seems to be the best balance of hashrate, temperature and efficiency. Approx 4.3 sols/w on all cards (505 - 515 sols).

Remember you can really push the core clocks with these, they're all clocked low by default. My cards all do +200 core +550 mem.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1070 Ti benchmarked in Eth & Zec on: November 03, 2017, 04:09:17 PM
EVGA 1070 Ti SC  75% PL (135w) +175 core + 550 mem (micron) 520 sols using DSTM's miner.

In comparison to:

MSI 1070 Armor 50% PL (98w) +160 core +350 mem (samsung) 430 sols using DSTM's miner (my best 1070, silicon lottery winner)
Palit 1080 Dual OC 70% PL (145w) +190 core +150 mem 535 sols using DSTM's miner.
EVGA 1080Ti FE 70% PL (180W) +200core +350mem 720 sols using DSTM's miner.

Neoscrypt appears to be semi-broken though, at least on windows 7. The new 1070ti driver has halved speed here on all my cards, the 1070ti is only doing 750kh. My 1070s now do 660kh instead of 1250kh, so by that maths the 1070ti producing 750kh would be doing about 1550kh on a working driver. Had to put the 1070ti's in with the 1080ti doing equihash and roll back drivers on my 1070 rig.

I also have one dodgy card (out of 6). Running +13c compared to the others, will have to disassemble later.

Not great, but not exactly a disaster either. Fills the void between the 1070 and the 1080ti better than the 1080 did anyway, and in the UK offers better hash/£ than the 1080ti.
17  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Wirex- Bitcoin Debit Card | Buy Bitcoin | Mobile Banking | Send Money on: September 15, 2017, 08:00:55 PM
Thank you Michael for making that clear. This information regarding payments processed by PayPal is not stated on your site, the verification FAQ specifically states loading or unloading into a PayPal account requires verification which I took to mean adding or withdrawing from my PayPal balance to or from the card. It is not made clear anywhere that this includes debit card transactions simply processed by PayPal. If this was made clear on your site then I would not have even registered with Wirex as all I wanted the card for at the time was to buy from eBay.

One final question if I may, is PayPal the only common processor for online payments that users of unverified cards should avoid or are there others you know of which are also highly likely to trigger the suspicious payment flag?

I will watch this post and consider verifying the card for use in the future, not being able to use the card for PayPal processed payments would present serious limitations in use so verification is basically a requirement for virtual cards.

2) The other pending deposit of 0.001 under ticket id 212906 has been marked as successful on my Wirex events page, but has NOT been added to my BTC wallet. My total BTC wallet balance is 0.007617 and it should now be 0.008617. Simple maths. I have replied to this ticket stating that but received no update on the progress of this ticket since it was first assigned to an agent yesterday.

Thank you for the ticket ID, your ticket in work now, please wait for the resolution.

3) My issue being unable to use the card on ebay is NOT resolved (id 211719). It was closed automatically without being looked at. This has royally pissed me off. I have received a notification this morning that this ticket has now been assigned after I replied to the automated email yesterday saying it was not solved. This has cost me 2 days sat here expecting my issue to be looked at, when in reality it never even hit a monitored inbox in the first place.

Your ticket was auto-closed as you chose one of the suggested automatic answers and was reopened after your next message.
For now, your ticket is closed with the answer of our support agent. If your issue wasn't solved you need just to answer on this message and ask for additional help.
As I can see the agent provide the correct article with the reason why your card payment can get declined: https://help.wirexapp.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001351885-5-reasons-Why-your-Wirex-card-can-get-declined
Please check the article and answer to the support agent.
The most usual issue is your card billing address not match the billing address in your merchant. And also the agent is right that verification is recommended as sometimes our bank can block some suspicious transactions for unverified cards. Your transaction is Paypal payment with unverified card that can be suspicious for our bank.
In other words, verification and matching the billing address solves 99% issues with online payments. The more detailed reason of rejection you can receive by asking the merchant.

In regards to the above:

I still haven't received my 0.001 to my balance. I realise its only a small amount, and now much smaller than when I deposited it, but I would still like it.

My billing addresses are 100% correct between Wirex, PayPal and eBay. I needed to make this payment quickly, though that window has now passed, so verification is irrelevant. I was testing things out to see if I was going to use (and recommend) the service.

I still fail to understand how my transaction which is within your advertised limits for unverified accounts can be deemed suspicious. You need to advertise exactly what amount it is possible to spend on ebay with the card in a single transaction. Without this information the card is useless for ebay purchases. What can be spent without it seeming suspicious to the bank? I know they can take $1, but that's a bit shit really isn't it?

I still only have your word to say that it will work if I was to verify with the bank. I placed my trust in the limits stated on the site that said I could make single ePOS transactions of $800 from an unverified account. Why should I now believe you and send you my personal information when you have so far only shown me that I cannot trust what I was told when signing up? Its a very odd situation, are you saying that the advertised limits are irrelevant as unverified cards are treated with such prejudice that you cant actually spend anything on them anyway? If paypal will not process unverified virtual card payments within advertised limits then who will? Where can I actually spend my money and how much of it am I allowed to spend at once?

So, for a TL:DR...

1) How much can I actually spend in a single ePOS transaction on this card when it is unverified?

2) Can I use an unverified virtual card on eBay at all without verifiying and if so how much can I spend?

3) Can I use an unverified virtual card via a paypal payment processor without it being verified and if so how much can I spend?

3 simple questions to which answers should be plainly displayed on your website. Can you answer them? If you can't then the unverified Wirex virtual card service isn't really useable.

Thank you for taking the time to speed up my support tickets and answer my posts, I appreciate the response.

Hello.

Let me clarify some moments from your posts:

1. You can check our limits here: https://help.wirexapp.com/hc/en-us/articles/207870815-Wirex-card-limits
They should be correct.

2. The list of the supported documents for address proof can be checked here: https://help.wirexapp.com/hc/en-us/articles/207161719-How-and-why-to-verify-Wirex-account-
We are also working to decrease the time of verification to 1-3 days and now the verification process should be much faster than before (it was 5-7 working days before).
If there is any issue with the documents we send the message with an explanation.

3. As I understand your current issues were solved by our support team, but please send me the private message if any issue still persists and I will help.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for your reply.

In regards to point 1, does this mean that the Wirex blog post highlighted by Neurotic Fish here: https://wirexapp.com/important-note-unverified-card-limits/ is no longer enforced? There is no mention of anything in that blog post on the limits page, nor is it referenced from within the FAQs. This really needs answering, as if this is not the case I have some other problem with my newly acquired card preventing spending.

Point 2 is not relevant to me at this time, I will not send any documents until I have confidence in the Wirex service.

Point 3 - my issues are not solved, please see below:

1) My first pending deposit of 0.007617 has been cleared and added to my balance. This was logged under ticket 211719 and is resolved.

So yeah, 1 out of 3 so far. I am most interested in hearing about the cumulative balance limits from the blog post. If those are still enforced (and not even advertised in the limits section) I will be withdrawing my BTC once my final 0.001btc is credited to my wallet. Until that's answered there's not really any point in looking into my issue with using the card. That ship may have sailed already.
20  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Wirex- Bitcoin Debit Card | Buy Bitcoin | Mobile Banking | Send Money on: September 12, 2017, 11:37:51 PM
So, my first stuck deposit is now solved after being escalated "to the relevant team".

My second stuck deposit now says successful, but has not been posted to my BTC balance. Sneaky skim attempt number 2? I probably wouldn't have noticed with that small an amount normally. Probably a bit cynical to suggest that, but the sky is blue, the grass is green and if you keep hold of something hot you get burned. Intentional or not, I bet many people would not notice a small missing deposit. Sounds like a cheeky little earner, even if it is a genuine fault.

I've also just checked the automated response I got when opening my ticket about the card not working and found they have set all PayPal category tickets to be auto closed. I got this email instantly upon opening the ticket, so thought it was just the standard acknowledgment. I never considered for a second it was a notification my newly created ticket had been instantly closed. I've asked them to re-open my ticket and actually read it, lets see how that goes. Email is below, I'm fine with it right up until it says "Your current ticket status: Solved." If that's being done I would want it obviously stated in the subject field so it doesn't get missed, not slapped on the end of the automated message.

Anyway, it appears my issues are slowly seeing some progress, though I am still not gaining much confidence in Wirex.
