41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / XMR pool ( Nanopool ) on: December 29, 2018, 07:55:47 AM
Hello,
Nanopool didn't find any block last 6 hours ? ( With 1/3 total hashrate ) any explanation about that .

Same here epic failure  for r9 280 Dual-x  (compute errors, 0 h/s, red everywhere, no need to ask drivers, oc, compute, lock memory pages all ok! i have a Vega 56 rig too doing better but still 100w more for V8 than V7 and 100h/s less...
)
i dont want to be disrespectful with your awesome work and support (really) but:

As you ask on your 1.7.0 release post: NO! WE DONT WANT USELESS EXTRA TUNING GADGETS to mine 10h/s more but screwing up 50% of our gpu's and all pasts benchmarks.

I mean of course if it's usefull, like very usefull i'm ok but:
i MINE : CryptoNight ,CryptoNightAlloy, CryptoNightArto, CryptoNightB2N, CryptoNightFast   ,CryptoNightHaven ,CryptoNightHeavy   ,CryptoNightItalo , CryptoNightLiteV7, CryptoNightSaber, CryptoNightStelliteV4,   CryptoNightV7, CryptoNightV8 with a profitability switcher that i coded
if i need to bench (x8)²x508x48 possible settings/cards/algo on every release i'll rather to stop using a tool that will makes me spend more time to bench and set up than to mine ...

SO PLEASE YOUR PROGRAM IS GREAT!= new goodies or i dont know how do you call this (fragments, bralock, aes) and all these ****** settings which makes me pull my hairs off for 1 week to earn what: 10h/s or 0========E X I T !

very easy fix, use old version that good on r9 280 und problem solved

my vega & rx rigs thank you for 1.7.0 doktor!

I use minerstat switcher for this rig (this is my PC in fact...) which cannot reach old api requirements (which change on every release too)....

API in SRB changed on every release?

Hello !
Is it possible to set up a forcerestart windows 10 when the miner crash? Every miner crash I lost remote access (teamviewer, google remote) to the mining RIG and I need to acces physically to the rig for shutdown.

Well if windows hangs then you can't do anything else but restart the machine physically.
Maybe you should lower a little bit your overclocking settings so it won't hang ?

I tried but my Vega ( 56 reference blower) are already running at low speed 1395 / 925 . Miner crash every couples of days  (5-6) , there is only 1-2 compute error per card after one week running. I don't know how to identify the bad one.

What is the best tuning for RX Vega 56 and 64 reference blower.

I Use 1408/1090 (16+14) for vega 64
and 1413/945 (16+14) for Vega 56
I get 2030 Vega 64 and 1980 Vega 56, is it possible to get better ?

PS : Win 10 / 18.5.1 / PPT
I also get a lot of error -1 block expired
I find something weird too, even if I set 900mv or other things in OverdriveNtool I get 1250mv on HWInfo for memory voltage. For core it is the opposite when I set 905 it show 881mV and Core clock is also lower than the one set with overdrivntool. Any idea ?

When you're running around 1408 core clk on a Vega 64, 15+15 is usually a better config than 16+14. On my Vega 64 LC at 1408/1100, I see ~2030 h/s with 16+14 and ~2095 h/s with 15+15, so that's probably worth trying. For the 56, just cycle through 16+14, 15+15, 14+14, 14-14 and see which one gives you the best results!

I can't say I have anything intelligent to say around the nrs you're ssing in HWInfo though Sad.

Thanks I will try tomorrow .
Whatever I put on memory voltage with overdriventool hwinfo show 1250mv memory voltage for vega 56 and 1356mV for vega 64.
Is it possible to get the bus number for each card on the hashrate report ( I know it is at the begining) ?

Try 1480cc  1080mc  for vega64 and 56 flashed to 64  i get 2100-2190hs depending on brand
And  1480cc  925mc  for vega 56  I get 2050hs for this.
All at 16+14.
Power table reg mod for 899mv

Thanks I will try it this weekend, the rig using teamredminer crash during the night ( same setting I use without problem on srb) and I lost remote access to reboot it.
Is there a way to force win 10 restart when miner crash ?

Hello
I have a problem with my VEGA miner since Monero V8. With v7 all my 8 Cards where running properly. But since V8, if only running one card, everything is good but as soon as I activate a second one, i get kernel power 41 and the rig reset.
I already tested the ram, the disk and reinstalled the complete Windows with no change. Also changed PSU but no help
I have ASrock BTC+ Pro
8GB RAM
Sapphire Vega64
Driver 18.5.2, HBCC of, Crossfire disabled
Win10

Any idea? Thanks for helping.

are you sure your psu has enough juice?
V8 needs more power than V7

Yes.
I have 3800 Watt for these 8 cards.

Mine are using less than 2000w for 8 cards (v8 XMR) ...

Hello,
I need some help,
I have 4 RX 580 nitro + (8go) , 1 hynix , 3 micron . I was mining with SRB at 850h/s each (V8 Xmr)

I did this to increase my hashrate.
- Custom build with SRB Polaris ( I just pressed PIMP my strap then save BIOS and flash)
- then I DDU my old driver and install new one 18.6.1.
- then used atidmkpacher
- I tried the latest version of the miner with 58 intensity double thread for each RX580.

But now I'm mining at 350h/s each...
{
"cryptonight_type" : "normalv8",
"intensity" : 100,
"double_threads" : true,
"worksize" : 8,
"threads" : 2,
"fragments" : 16,
"bralock" : 50
}
1180/2150 900/950mv 942h per card.

Thanks, one card is running at 950h/s with these setting , the 3 others still 850..
All 4 at 1250clock /2250 memory
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.6.9 - native algo switching on: November 10, 2018, 04:04:03 PM
yeah I forgot that  thanks ! but even now I'm around 850h/s no more
Hynix 8GB is crap for CN. You need better strap (if there is one)

I have only one with hynix others are micron but hashrate remain the same 850/s.
Someone can share a BIOS for RX 580 nitro+ ( 8 go) hynix and micron ?

Tested on Vega 64 single GPU PC with 100% power table and 1550 core and 1150 HBM2, driver 18.10.2

Result: 1300H/s

SRBminer goves 2115 H/s

However,

manual config for vega 64:

"gpu_threads_conf" :
[
 { "mode" : "GPU", "worksize" : 16, "alpha" : 64, "beta" : 4, "gamma" : 8, "delta" : 8, "epsilon" : 8, "zeta" : 8, "index" : 0, "multi_hash":1904 },

],

results in 2080H/s

very good, but not as good as SRBminer in V8

I didn't test heavy algo

Hello,
All my Vega are now around 650h/s instead of 2000h/s , I tried to lower intensity but no effect. How to achieve 1800h/s and above on V8 ?
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Cast XMR] high speed XMR/CryptoNight miner for RX Vega GPUs (2 KHash/s) on: October 16, 2018, 01:49:17 PM
Don't know if its an issues on my end, but I noticed GPU numbers are being incorrectly assigned.  I currently have 5 vega 56s, HWInfo shows them 0,1,2,3,4 --> 0,1,4,3,2 in Cast, I was hoping I could reorder the gpu numbers by reordering the -G numbers, but this is not the case.

Also I noticed RX580s are having issues being erroneously detected as not in compute mode and also having a low hashrate because of it, RX570s appear to be fine.

Adrenaline 18.5.1 driver.

Same issues with RX580 Nitro + , SWitching mode fail , but even after manually switch ON , detected as not in compute mode and low hashrate.
--> back to 1.0 with --forcecompute for now

I still  have this issue, I tried latest driver but same issue, still being erroneously detected as not in compute mode. Only Cast 1.0 working with forcecompute.
Any solution?

Use the --intensity option to override the automatic detection.  One can set the  intensity for each card by separating it by comma in the order the GPUs are specified Like --intensity=7,8,10,7

Try --intensity=7 it should have the same effect as the legacy --forcecompute option.

Thanks, I just tried --intensity=7 with cast 1.5, I still get "Compute Mode Not Enabled" error but hashrate is better. It's still a little slower than CAST but only few h/s
