I have the wallet downloaded and will be compiling as soon as I get the password. With previous coins we've been up and running within 5 minutes of launch. Our Karmacoin pool hit over 1.3GH/s+ at peak, and our MintCoin pool hit 1GH/s+. We have tons of capacity and bandwidth!! signed up but didn't get the e-mail?? Email confirms should have been OFF for signups. I went through and manually confirmed ALL locked accounts, you are good to go! |

Hah! - I think this indicates what a pain email confirmations are:
4.5 hours after launch, on one of the major pools (coins4everyone), I was manual payout #1! Perhaps this is why:
To get my manual payment after setting up my account a few hours ago:
I had to log in, enter my pin to get confirmation email, check my email client - no email, log into my online email service, search through the spam folder, mark the email as not spam, copy the confirmation address, paste that address into my browser, enter my wallet address, enter the pin again to update, enter the pin again to activate manual payout, download the email, copy the address, paste the address into my browser, enter the pin again to finally get my payout!
To me, that is complete overkill.
Anyway, I think I'm done ranting for the night. Time for bed.
This is a HUGE issue with the default settings for the newest version of MPOS (the pool software everyone uses). We've been battling it ourselves at HashStrike with our pools. We eventually decided to disable the email confirmations for everything for the time being because of how touchy and non-intuitive it is. So I know exactly what they're going through right now. |

newbie here, which pool is the best to use?
http://mint.hashstrike.com has been finding blocks since just after launch. We are currently at 50MH on the pool, which is just a tiny fraction of what our pool can do. have you made a .conf file yet? hashstrike is offline/???  yea, hashstrike has gone off and on for me over the last hour or so as well. currently down for 10 mins though now, not good. trijeek is cool though, i'm sure he'll fix it as soon as he realizes it. Looks like the pool stopped accepting new connections because we ran into the limit of open files, 1000... because we had over 1000 workers connected to the pool!! What a milestone. After raising that limit to 10,000 we've been running smoothly again since last night. |

Can anyone suggest a pool that has more than 10 miners and that doesn't SUCK? Thanks  Our pool currently has registrations disabled due to high hash rate... I talked to the admin for http://pool.code4.us/karm/ a bit and it seems like it is a pretty solid pool. Give them a shot! |

That's a stupid calculus... My only point is that we're nowhere near a $1.4M market cap at 2 satoshi, unless you're counting all of the coins that will be ever produced (and thats a long ways away...) |

Edit: it just jumped back down. I wonder if it was just a glitch in the dashboard on the site or if it really was at 1.2 GH/s.
We have closed registration to the pool since we can potentially do more than 51% of the network rate. We encourage new miners to join another pool since we are close to the 51%. Wow.. we are right there as well, closing in on 50%. Disabling registrations on ours as well. Spread the love out! |

still showing 1760+ mhash on hashstrike btw hashstrike just sent out payments. I just posted a news update to the site, but I'll mirror it here as well. Ahh glad to hear it m8,just got my payment through as well,thanks trigeek Not a problem. I'm putting in some additional monitoring so it will blow up my phone when payouts stop working. Unfortunately it happened at 2AM pacific time when I was fast asleep or I would have fixed it much sooner!! |

Is automatic payout in pool karma.hashstrike.com problems ?
Yes, there is some problem on karma.hashstrike.com with automatic and on-demand payout.In the last two hours i didn't receive any coins from there. The payout issue has been fixed. Someone put in an invalid deposit address, and that caused ALL payouts to fail  I am looking into ways of keeping this from happening in the future. -trigeek |
