Has anyone seen anything like this in the history of the trade-world? Shocked
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Will Reach $40,000 in 2018? on: November 29, 2017, 04:50:19 AM

3  Economy / Speculation / Re: Real reason why Bitcoin Cash is chasing Bitcoin on: November 24, 2017, 04:33:19 PM
BCC is the first fork and has some special marketing value.
Other than that it's like looking into a crystal ball.

Probably BCC will become the same as LiteCoin, a good secondary coin.
BTC will remain king (the VHS of cryptocurrency) Cool

Perfect.
People who are still asking about bcash beating BTC didn't understand Bitcoin incentives ecosystem yet.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | Nxt | Blockchain Platform | Proof of Stake | Official on: November 21, 2017, 03:34:15 PM
What a price rise, over 50%

What news did I miss? Is the rebranding, new ICO,....?

i also cant find any news.

does anyone have a expalanation?

It was just bound to happen. Even just by simple math NXT was a total steal - as I tried to write on Reddit.
I think it's still low, considering the features of Ardor/Ignis... but short term there might be a dip again.
Certainly was a good day though.

I didn't expect it happened so early, also so dramatically.
I should have held much more Nxt. Hope I can grab more in the dip.

I agree. I think is very cheap.
My target price is 0.00008533 BTC

First iPhone ever released $400 (June 2007)

10 years later

iPhone 8 cost $700
iPhone X cost $1000
take average of these 2.
----------------------

I'd say its a pretty accurate inflation indicator

LOL.
You just summed this thread up with this example.
Thank you.
EOT;

In my opinion bitcoin had rise significantly big right now that even the people that don't know what to do with bitcoin have the most interest in earning it even if they don't have any idea how to, you can surely use that term of an Iphone changing it's price significantly too, that is a big leap of price we can see that a lot of people are doing right now and that is to convert their Fiat to bitcoin.

Yes, for sure. I spent all this year studying US inflation data, I found a lot of indicators that suggests a much higher inflation than govt has been presenting(2%). There are many inflation indicators between 6-10%(if you use 80s method you will reach 10%) and it scares me because we all know that to an inflation became a hyperinflation is quick as flash. Although the current US inflation calculation methods are not transparent the evidences is very solid. I never thought about the iphone but it really makes sense as another great example. Regards, phrost.

And it's no wonder that Bitcoin shows up as the best investment of the past 2 years.

-x-

Keep calm buy bitcoins and be phrost.

8  Economy / Speculation / Re: Roger Ver's trick to drop BTC to $1300: a call to whales to SELL NOW PLEASE! on: November 18, 2017, 03:11:39 AM
I've noticed something alarming about this BCH influenced BTC crash/correction

Has anyone noticed that the very rapid drop and resultant rebound didn't get the chance to actually test support at $5k? I can't help but think that this might be a deliberate attempt of Roger Ver and co, to ensure that Bitcoin then carries on up to new all time highs, having not tested support since $1300. They'll back off now, and let the BTC community think that BCH has failed, ensuring that $5k doesn't get properly tested.

This might result in an inevitable retrace/crash back to $1300, which would be when he could pump BCH again to cause a real 'flipenning'.

So basically, PLEASE SELL!!

LoL,
It seems you are the one who tried to spreading the fud news, influencing people to sell few days ago.
Fortunately, it did not happen, bitcoin could hold at $5500 before it rebound to $6000 and $7000, looks like bitcoin ATH is $8000.
Most people didn't see it coming, BCH suddenly rise over $1900, a good price to sell bch obviously.
But BCH can't last long at high price, even for a day. Bch could rise just because bitcoin mempool seems stuck due to spam transactions. A good thing to encourage everyone to consider another solution for bitcoin scale solution.

they are attacking all over again. Same strategy at the same day and time.
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: US Inflation on: November 18, 2017, 02:54:31 AM
...I do think that the growth of bitcoin prices is kind of an indication that the dollar is losing credibility...

This conclusion is kind of problematic. Bitcoin has outperformed every other currency and every other asset class
on this planet as well. Therefore you canīt really argue that the dollar is losing credibility, because compared to
Bitcoin everything has lost credibility.

However, you are probably right that the dollar has lost credibility.

Take a look at the development of the purchasing power of the $ over the last decades:

US printed a lot since 2008 and also nations are buying gold. Things are getting weird and they will not stop printing.

10  Economy / Speculation / Re: US Inflation on: November 18, 2017, 02:44:15 AM
Well in that case, 6-8% is complete bullshit. Gas is very cheap compared to the last decade, groceries aside from beef show very little price change, things like car parts, clothes, utility bills, home improvement supplies, tools, etc etc etc do not show any significant inflation. What has gone through the roof is real estate in many parts of the US, and of course stocks are way up.
I see no signs of the kind of inflation in everyday purchaes that people are talking about in this thread. It may happen, but it's not happening  as far as I can tell. Most likely it is just hype to get the btc price to keep rising, but it has no basis in fact.

chesthing, I'm gonna have to flat out disagree with you on that. Do you even pay bills, bro?

My electric bill has doubled since 2009
My health insurance monthly premium has doubled since 2007
My haircuts have doubled since 2007
My grocery bill is up about 40% per shop since 2009
My oil changes have doubled since 2007
My water bill is up about 50% since 2009
New cars cost 30-40% more than they did in 2007
Most fast food is up about 25-30% since 2009
A sit down fine dining experience is up about 50% since 2009 (just look at the cost of a single cocktail now!)

Things that don't affect me, but I've heard that:

Rent is up about 20% over the last 4-5 years in major metro areas.
Real estate is back up to pre-2008 crash levels, and climbing higher still.
Cost of an average college degree up about 30-40% since 2007.

You're right though in that gas has gone down, and shit from China (ie., clothes, tools, home supplies, etc.) hasn't gone up all that much. But everything else has!

And the MAJOR thing that hasn't budged in a decade across the board is.... WAGES.

Excellent observation! I agree.

Take a look at this article: https://dailyreckoning.com/revealing-real-rate-inflation-crash-system/

Govt took out health care, energy and some types of foods from CPI-U method of calculation and also made this method unclear.

13  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin already more than 7200. When to wait for correction? on: November 05, 2017, 12:41:26 AM
I guess correction will come after segwit2x fork that people will price "the centralization"

Excellent price. Best price around.
17  Economy / Goods / Re: Invest in USA Real Estate - Land-Lot @ Orlando FL on: September 21, 2017, 05:21:27 PM
Scam alert.

Why don't you go to Zillow Ad Link and ask the home owner if he'll accept Bitcoin in stead of come here and say bullshit?
Get a life dude.
18  Economy / Goods / Re: Invest in USA Real State - Land-Lot @ Orlando FL on: September 21, 2017, 05:13:34 PM
What a scam!  You can't even write 'real estate' correctly.
Better lock this thread and stop trying to peddle real estate
that you have no title to.  As much as the concept of property
for bitcoin might appeal to people, I'm fairly certain it's not
yet a reality except in a very small number of cases.

Stfu dude. Stop saying things that you don't know.
Sorry for the "real estate". But I'm not a SCAM and I'm the land-lord. You can make contact by Zillow Ad I'll reply it by there and confirm that I put up this thread here.

If you don't wanna put up a offer or something just get out of here.

Unfortunately, the situation has become such that people who get paid for their signature just go to random threads and yell "scam" to get paid at the expense of other people.  I mean, it's easy enough to avoid getting scammed in this situation by using escrow, so I'm not sure why some people feel a need to throw out baseless accusations.

Exactly. It's so easy to check if this ad is SCAM or not. I'm not even a realtor or broker. I'm the owner of the property and they can easily go to Zillow Ad or Volusia County Records and check this out. Many many ways to avoid getting scammed. Like you said, they also can use Escrow.

What I can not understand is people from the bitcoin community come to accuse a legitimate real estate advertisement just because I wrote "real estate" wrong. They should be encouraging and praising me because I'm accepting Bitcoin in exchange of a property. Sometimes what detracts Bitcoin's image is Bitcoin's own community.
