It was pretty luck but he knew he wouldn't be able to keep someone else's account and that it would eventually be frozen until the problem could be resolved, maybe you might have some luck doing the same. I assume hackers know they won't have access to the hacked accounts for long, especially if the account owner is active anyway so they sell them on and take any profit they can while they can. It was pretty lucky as I had never staked an address, as soon as I got my account back it was the first thing I did. I know the mods of this forum are extremely busy but I am sure you'll hear something back eventually, I wish you luck. i hope to have your luck. surely the people who bought my account, lost his money. i will persecute my original hacked haccount forever until he returns. |

How does the 25% airdrop will works?
I mean, if i add coins within 1 week, i will not receive the 25% of that part on 30th October?
And if i remove my coins and leave only 10, i will receive the 25% of today's sum or not?

A Bitcoin address effectively can act as 2 factor authentication. If you remember posting a Bitcoin address then you could sign the address and provide that information to theymos. If the hacker has changed the post that contained the address, then theymos will likely be able to see the post history. Basically, check the post history or try to remember any time you posted an address and tell him about it and provide a signed message. Even if you have sent the address via personal message you can tell him about it and he'll be able to find it. I believe I remember reading a post by theymos years back that he will ignore any messages which do not contain the information described above. I see you did this but posted it publicly and assume you did the same in the personal message to theymos. If that is the case you should just wait. Make sure that it's correct and has the information though. Wait a week and just message him again. He has many messages per week, and the inbox is rather messy and one message can easily be overlooked so sending him a reminder in a week should be okay. the point is that this is a forum, and many people not even know what is a private key. |

I never got it back, and refuse to create a permanent new one because I, like you, posted for many years and am not willing to let that happen again. I did not post a bitcoin address, because do not want any links between bitcointalk and a wallet. I don't understand how this is the ony forum in the world that requires a bitcoin address to recover an identity. Seems the only way to prevent it is to not use bitcointalk. If bitcointalk comes out with new version that provides some protection from email address change, I'll reconsider using Bitcointalk.
Other than Reddit, anyone have any recommendations for a good bitcoin place to talk? If we don't get a good board where with better identity protection, I'll create one.

I think it is safe to point out that OP did not sell the account and was really hacked. I believe in that statement. Thanks. I tagged the_she for selling accounts, and I hope some other members do as well. I also tagged Roidz, just because there's this accusation open against him and I don't like the way he shitposts anyway.
This situation tends to support the hypothesis that OP isn't telling the truth, that he sold this account to the_she. I'm interested to see who says what now. And this, gentlemen, is a fine example of why account selling/buying should not be allowed here. It becomes a huge mess with dishonesty and mudslinging.
I am willing to return this account if I get my bitcoin back. I bought this account with a price of 0.036 Bitcoin. I did not previously know this account was bought or hacked. I'm just a buyer. you absolutely wasted your money. i will persecute account Roidz until i get it back or until i die, who comes faster. |

No, I don't think so. You still haven't proven the account was yours to begin with, and you're still missing that point. What don't you understand about a signed message? Edit: I'm not saying you didn't get hacked, but assuming this guy won't return this account, the admins won't help you without proof of ownership.
