401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Miner's Official Coin LAUNCH - NUGGETS (NUGs) on: December 26, 2013, 10:32:28 AM
Still entertaining  Grin

Yeah, but I had a revelation - and as a result I'm gonna have to make a change to one of my major predictions.

I said bitcoin would gets its ETF and by next year we would see a $1,000 bitcoin price.

Well, I was wrong.  $1,000 is gonna get blown out really fast.  Too fast.  I'm now seeing at least a $5,000 piece for Bitcoin and quite possibly as high as $10,000 within 12-24 months after the ETF license is awarded.

Yeah, it's gonna get that crazy.  So that means coins like ixCoin hitting $100 or Devcoin hitting $1 is gonna be a no brainer.  Only problem is picking out the coins which will gain the most as not all coins will go that high on a % basis, although they should all be worth much more than today, even CrapCoins, if you can believe it.

Wow, so all the people at which you are laughing at in this ead will be worth dozen millions of $ very soon, that's your prediction?

Absolutely not, it never works that way, which is why I'm shouting from the rooftops and in the event I am right, more people will be worth more than they would have been otherwise.

See, let's say I'm right.  99% of the people on here are not finance or economics types - so that means 99% do not expect such an enormous jump in Bitcoin's price or any other alt coin for that matter.

Most here mine and do not purchase actual alt coins (like I have been doing since day 1, with actual Dollars) and that's cause most lack the necessary convictions and experience in stocks and they don't see any real future, at least not so much so soon.

So what do you think will happen when Bitcoin goes to say $270 and breaks its all time high?  What will happen if say this CrapCoin goes to say 2 cents per coin or Devcoin goes to just 1 penny from like 1/100th of a penny now or ixCoin goes to say 10 cents from half a penny now?

Most people here have never been around such volatile investments and since most don't expect a huge rise at least not a quick rise once they see say $10,000, $50,000 or especially say $100,000 worth of coins in their wallets what do you think they'll do?

SELL SELL SELL

they'll dump as fast as they can cause they can't believe what luck they had and they FEAR they'll never see that kind of easy money ever again.  This is where FEAR and GREED take over all rational thought and 99% of the people in this world are simply not trained to overcome that fear and greed so they'll react impulsively; thus, losing all objectivity.  I've seen it in stocks many many times and it actually happened to me (numerous times) early on in my career until I taught myself to stay detached from any risky, volatile investment.

And at that point the new batch of speculators will come in as that price will seem cheap to them compared to Bitcoin or many other stocks and once they see a quick 10-fold rise they'll be shocked, overcome with FEAR and Greed and most of those guys will sell as well.

And the cycle repeates without a single person ever making millions.  Statistically, at most, 1/10th of 1% have the nerves of steel and powerful convictions to risk losing $50,000 or $100,000 on the mere feeling or conviction that it will go much higher.  Most people are simply not wired to take that kind of risk and even if you are - if yo don't see it, if you don't have your own convictions based on something solid then you will sell even if a guy like me is screaming:  NO NO NO IT'S GOING TO $1 MILLION!!!

And this is why I'm working so hard to brainwash people into seeing now what's going to happen cause if I can't convince a few people to hold off even a few extra days - that could be another $100,000 in free cash.....or if I'm wrong I could cost that person that entire $100,000 in pure lifetime profits....hence, we're back to the same fear cycle which dictates 99.9% of people on here whom are not trained and experienced traders or investors will sell way way too early so no need to worry about too many millionaires.

Good luck to everyone - I hope I'm right and I hope many of you have the guts and nerves of steel to hold on while everyone is going crazy and dumping all their coins for the easiest profits they've ever seen.

This prediction is looking eerily accurate.  An like vlad said, most sold way too soon.  I don't have much but I'm holding to see what next year brings cause if that ETF does come it will bring a whole new level of hype.

Thanks Vlad, bought ixCoin (and some DGC) cause of you and I didn't sell for a triple like most did cause of you.  Now I'm sitting on 24 fold increase (and 50 fold on DGC) and hoping for your predicted 500 fold.  I really owe you, bro!

Lol, I can't even imagine that kind of return but then I never thought I'd see CrapCoins like Quark or doge or nxt at million dollar levels.  This is, like you predicted months ago, total madness and I think you're right in that it has just begun.

Just an idea but maybe you should revive nuggets.  It's got a better rep than many other expensive ScamCoins.  You gave the entire premine away, only an idiot would call nuggets a ScamCoin and besides, you pre-announced the premine well ahead of time so it wasn't a sneak launch or sneak premine like the clown from ixCoin.

Thanks and good luck, bro!
402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: December 26, 2013, 10:18:38 AM

Not even the owners of more then 17 million coins care about it (no donations), why should all the others care about it?

What's real strange is that I don't see those 17 million coins in the order book.   Just trying to buy 1% of the coins (i.e. 170,000 coins) will move the market by 50% or more.  It's crazy!

Vlad was saying the same thing months ago.  That he was trying really hard to find ixCoins for sale and it was nearly impossible to accumulate in large numbers and that's why he dumped like 5 Bitcoins at the ask one day (as an experiment) to see if there were any sellers and there were very few, which proved his theory that someone was holding lots of ixCoins and refused to sell at an even 5 fold increase which was a massive gain a few months ago.

Very strange indeed for a coin supposedly nobody wants.  That made me buy some 50,000 ixCoins so now we sit and wait to see if Vlad's ETF or xCoin theory pans out - I believe he said ~$10 within 90 days some 40 days ago so he's running out of time.  lol, I'm holding out since the nutjob has been right about some crazy stuff.

403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [CENT] Pennies launched on: December 26, 2013, 10:10:36 AM
Can somebody clarify how many cent coins there will be now?  Cause it's sure not 1 Billion or even 1 Trillion.  It appears to be a much larger number but I have no idea how many trillions.

And also, what's gonna happen on or after Jan 8th?

I mean, there's gonna be a massive payout, does the dev have any plans to increase the value of what will probably be the most diluted coin out there (except for ShitCoin)?

I mean, cent would be the perfect market coin on various exchanges since there will be plenty of it, it's cheap and it's not a scam coin so I do see a purpose for it.

Any answers would be appreciated.  If we can hear from Shake it would be great.

the difficulty will go high up to the sky, then the after a while the bitcoin exchange rates will go down

How is difficulty related to the exchange rate?

That's a good question, one I really would like the answer to

HAHA, you tell him Vlad! Is that like VLAD THE IMPALER?! Just kidding man, I'm on your side lol. Who knows, maybe the guy has a few blocks of servers in his water cooled basement.

Maybe he figured out something we didn't. I am sure there is always a way around a problem that inquiring minds can figure out with a little bit of tweaking. What I really hate though is when Vircurex goes offline for 24 hours without calling and telling me first  Embarrassed

1600 Mhash/s - 1x7950, 2x 7870, 1x5770

That's impossible.  What you're getting is probably 1600 kilo hash which is only 1.6 mega hashes which is nothing.

I'm shocked at how 90% of the people here can't tell the difference.  1,000 kilo hashes is just 1 mega hash.  The best ATI card at frys, the 7970 (they don't yet carry the 7990) only does 600-700 kilo hashes.  And when you run these cards together you lose efficiencies.
The 7970 does 600 to 700 megahashes/sec for BTC mining. For LTC mining you will get roughly 600 to 700 kilohashes however.

You can refer to this chart for more details:
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison#AMD_.28ATI.29

So then 3 7970 cards wold generate 2.8 Gigahashes/sec for BTC mining? Whats that in actual mined coins? like a BTC a day? Cause that would be definetlly worth the expense of 500$ plus a card.

Have you heard of the new Intel technology coming out, the PHI it's called I believe, I hear its supposed to be an insanely fast GPU, something straight out of Star Trek's Data's own positronic brain !!! its gonna clock in at ONE TERAFLOP!!! but is that floating point or linear mathematics... Well have to wait and see but the problem is that as soon as a fast card comes out, BTC difficulty adds a few more zeroes. Way can this be easy, like in 2011 lol.

so I take it you're mining for Bitcoins? How many would you say you get per day? and whats your electrical consumption rates like, assuming you don't get free electricity somehow : )
408  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's your Mhash/s? (Pissing contest here) on: May 12, 2013, 11:37:16 PM
I'm running a HD Radeon 6770 at ~130Mhash/s and a laptop at ~1.5Mhash/s

Using pooled mining because fuck competition.

I think Poolmining is the way to go, or even cloudmining. Have you heard about it?

Most people here are reprinting 1,000 fold higher hash rates with inferior, lesser cards than the ATI 7970.  What you guys are getting is kilo hash rates, which are 1,000 times less than mega hash rates so just divide what you think you're getting by 1,000 and that's your real hash rates.

Basically all the guys here saying they're getting 300m/hash are getting 300 kilo hash, which is like a new ATI 7850 video card which is a great card.  You double that down in a new $1700 rig and you lose efficiency and you'll get at most 500 kilo hash with a dual ATI card and a high end CPU and MB.  That's the rig I had and I took it back cause it was worthless.

The days when you could mine bitcoin or even much lower difficulty coins like litecoin with a desktop are over.  You now need giga hash rates to get anything.

If anyone has any cheaper and easier solutions please share.  I'm new to this and I've yet to be able to mine 1 full coin.  Thanks in advance."

I recently built a mega computer from Fries. I spent like 2000 dollars and got a great motherboard, a hexacore AMD cpu, 10 gigs of ram, the works, this thing was blazing fast I mean. I took the liberty to throw in 3 graphics cards running the 7669 chipset. Well guess what, I was getting like sub 500 KH/s KILO HASHES, which got me like .2 BITcoins after about 24 hours of running it with the cpu and gpu screaming at overheating speeds, by the way, at current prices I just about broke even on the electricity spent...
As far as BITcoin goes what I would suggest at this point in time, as the difficulty has increased quite a bit over the last six months, I would recommend cloudmining. find a good site that sells time blocks for a yearly service fee and start mining away!  Smiley
