2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RTX 3050 what plans? on: January 27, 2022, 07:48:25 PM
Good afternoon!
I heard a new "super-budget" RTX 3050 video card is coming out this month, like the price should range from $ 250-300 (this is not accurate). Do you think there will finally be an opportunity to buy a card at the recommended price? Or as usual, the price will be inflated several times?it is interesting how it will show itself in mining...
at the recommended price, only the one who will soon sell it to you will have time to buy Embarrassed
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Main] Bitcore- BTX - Are you ready for the future? on: August 21, 2018, 11:33:58 AM
I hope Bitcore manages to keep a stable price because the investors confidence will be damaged with all these fluctuations.

That’s a ridiculous request, you’re asking for insider manipulation.  Look at the top 20 coins, they’re all down 80%+.  This is the volatility we have to get used to until we go mainstream.

well, BTX is down 90+%, because of the airdrops of course. Since the price falled so hard, everything seems to go slow-mo... no excited people around to keep the excitemend going Smiley

Since the fcking merit system, it is impossible for mortals to become a hero members. Thus I am a bit dissapointed by the decision that discriminates 95% of this forum.

That being said, I am glad there is a new campaign happening Smiley
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Main] Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: May 14, 2018, 10:37:28 AM
Is there necessary to update wallet? Mine is 15.02?
I also asked about this but haven't got clear answer. Seems like we need to upgraide coz many people talking about different issues with old versions.

Older version should work just fine, but the newest version 15.03 has 10x lower transaction fees, which is certainly nice.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Main] Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: May 14, 2018, 05:08:35 AM
Every time there's an update one must struggle several days or weeks before he can get the bitcore wallet to update and run successfully, and this is very sad. Roll Eyes

I updated Bitcore wallet twice now. from version 14 to 15.02 and now from 15.02 to 15.03. Everytime it was super simple and worked like a charm. It was on windows though, but that is what 90% people will use.

Thanks

BTW this one might be completely immune against BTC price!  Cool

The new version of mobile mining app has cleared some old pending balances for me.
Now it's back to standard where every 10 ETN is transfered to the wallet. Thanks !

I have a new version of the app and I still have balance over 10 ETN stuck as pending...

I have a question for the DEVs, hopefully, they can answer me. Its about transaction fees.

It is claimed that BTX has the smallest transaction fees out there. But i must disagree.

Lets take a look. All coins listed here have 8 decimals, 1 UNIT = 100 milion smallest units.

BTX Recommended transaction fee :
102.651 smallest BTX units per Kilobyte
Minimum Required fee is
100.000 smallest BTX subunit per Kilobyte.

XUEZ, a POS "Bitcoin like coin (21mil max supply) recommended transaction fee:
10.001 smallest XUEZ units per Kilobyte
Minimum Required fee is
10.000 smallest XUEZ units per Kilobyte

OMEGA, a dash fork, Pos Coin Recommended transaction fee:
1.000 smallest OMEGA units per Kilobyte
Minimum Required fee:
1.000 smallest OMEGA units per Kilobyte.

Since i mine with 2 GPU on Bitcorepool.cc i receive lots of small payments. Unifying 23 small payments, for a total of 1.14219359 BTX, the transaction fee is 0.00357448, thus i get 1.13861911.
If those were XUEZ inputs, the fee would have been 0.00035744 XUEZ, and if those were OMEGA inputs, the fee would have been 0.00003574 OMEGA.

Do you see the difference in coin here ?

Obviously OMEGA functions with 100 times lower transaction fees ! And XUEZ functions with 10 times lower transaction fees !

Why do we need to have so high of transaction fee requirements ? Can anyone care to explain ?
I was saying that too! And I'm also curious to know why transaction fee is so high. (Minimum is 0.001 but recommended amount is 0.02. Because the
minimum transaction fee does not guarantee transaction confirmation. That is written in the wallet tooltips.

Waiting for the answer.

Hello,

the answer is really easy. It  is already prepared to set down this in the last core update (Core 15).

You can here already see that other fee currently possible is.

Possible fee
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/btx/tx.dws?1043013.htm

Normal fee
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/btx/tx.dws?1042993.htm

I want to activate that in the next update for the end users.  Smiley

Kind Regards Christian

Hi Christian,

does this mean that it is better to wait until this update for a miner with hundreds of incoming transactions in his wallet? If I understand it correctly, it will cost 10x less to send all those BTX to unite them?
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Main] Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: May 04, 2018, 11:35:26 AM

I am afraid the puzzle is much more crypto cipher than logically looking for the path like you do.

Perhaps you are right (I didn't check because I found no indications wrt looking at files with particular tools),
but I gave my reasoning why I believe it's not the case.

Don't forget that when you use binary view and load up the lto.mp3 file, looking on hexa decimal values translated to ASCII, you see at the beginning ID3.....vPRIV....PeakValue....PRIV.... That seems more like crypto cipher clue, right? I was thinking more like looking for some peak values of that .mp3 peak frequency spectogram or something like that... or maybe there is some tool to see some peak values of colours in the image? Just a thought...

Afaics you are focused only on .mp3 for now?
And yet you struggle which tools to use, and can't make nothing of it.
IMO then there should be clues about which tools to use. Try looking for that.

Now if you are indeed correct, you would also need to do something similar to the image.
And why then would this be a basic puzzle?
How many people have skill to do it?

Hint is "dont forget the Music !" which implies that something else is also a clue.

Can PeakValue and other strings also be found in other mp3 files?
Did you try downloading original mp3 (or just take first 18 seconds from the youtube video, and save it as mp3) and compare to lto.mp3?

EDIT:
https://twitter.com/Bitcore_BTX/status/992312346734247937
> We didn’t expect that this could be a challenge too.

IMO messing with files like that without clues about which tools to use is challenging.
So it has to be something simpler than that.

I did not try that and at this point, to be honest, I am somehow discouraged to continue. I will probably wait if there is any clue from devs after noone wins for a few days.

My thoughts were this - in hexa .mp3 there is clue to look for peak values. so that is why music is important - it contains clue. And now in something else (probably picture) we have to find some peak value (of what?), to be able to get another clue or maybe even translate some peak values to the private key...

Anyway, I am just saying how I was thinking, it might be completely wrong... When I googled and read something about hiding files inside .png and I found out the whole new world of steganography, I decided I dont have enough time for this Smiley
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Main] Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: May 04, 2018, 08:45:12 AM

I don't understand this puzzle. I opened the site and was presented an image on that page.
what are we supposed to do with that image? I don't see any peculiar part resembling private key
will there be any clue given after a few days?

My try, hopefully helps someone to get better ideas:

Clues:

Audio
Image
Colors

_Audio_ is looney tunes soundtrack (my guess LTO in lto.mp3 means Looney Tunes Opening)

reverse _Image_ search gives "mess with your brain"
http://cdn.emgn.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/Pictures-That-will-mess-with-your-brain-4.jpg

The Brain is Looney tunes character.

Bitcore _Color_ is pink.

Pinky and the Brain are looney tunes characters

Additional points:
If original image is Brain, and bitcore is Pinky, then given image on the puzzle site indeed represent Pinky and the Brain.
Also the original illusion image somewhat resembles looney tunes theme (circles around big circle in the middle):
http://www.belcourt.org/sm_files/LooneyTunesweb.jpg

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zIRDJLOJyw
Channel logo and name have "CC" - bitcore is on "cc" domain.

So I was thinking that private key would be found on secret url such as https://bitcore.cc/pinky-and-the-brain (or whatever is the password we have to find before private key),
however there are no indicators what url should look like, or even where to input password in case we find one (note I'm not talking about private key here).

(but since I'm stuck, I believe I'm on the wrong path, thus interpreted the clues wrong)

If Jon created the puzzle, assuming he is core dev then I presume he wasn't paying much attention to the image size, just get the puzzle done.
Thus huge image size is probably not a clue.
As well as other numbers such as mp3 length because they seem to lead nowhere.

Afair they claim puzzle difficulty is "medium",
thus I believe password (or private key) is not hidden in the file because not many people know how to use particular softwares for decrypting such clues.
After all we have audio file AND image file, thus much more work required (seeing that noone cracked it yet, I guess I'm correct about this).

Possible clues that lead me nowhere:

25BTX_ori.png - trippy image, what does "ori" mean?
res: 1000x1000
size: 2,2 MB (2156118 bytes)

audio length is 18 seconds

Javascript:
var colors = ["red", "orange", "yellow", "green", "blue", "indigo", "violet", "gray", "black"];
window.setInterval([...], 2000);

css:
transition: background-color 2.1s; //2.1 second transition

Porky is a pig, and pigs are pink.

I think this dump could see btx going back to its last April/May price level, just what I think.

Dumping is also the way of distribution Smiley Lets hope it will be over in a few days. Some good news from devs would help, for example big exchange or HW wallet news.

One question...is mco planning to stay on eth blockchain? If so don’t you think it will have problems related to transactions fees and transactions delays?

Check out the Raiden Network (RDN). Its like lightning for ERC-20. I think soon enough there wont be a problem with transaction speed and cost, so me personally I am ok with mco being ERC-20

I predict a lot of interest to buy BTX to get 9,2% the last time. Why 9,2? Cause we have final sum to be distributed.
there is no fixed percentage for the last airdrop.
it totally depends on how many new investors get in and how many btx get bought until monday.
maybe at the moment it would be about 9.2% if nothing would change.
but it could also be even less than 8% in theory if many new (or old) investors would buy alot of btx now.
let's hope that not too many btx get bought before monday so the airdrop would be about 9%.

But all the BTX anyone buys are probably from someone already registered for the airdrops.... There isnt going to be much more BTX registered for the airdrops so I think we will be close to 9% and it doesnt matter if old nvestors or new investors are buying. Only think that matters is how many BTX you have, so you can get more from the airdrop.

New btx atm video released in the telegram chat.
You should Check it out.

I love the return to the old approach, when devs are communicating almost on daily bases. That is one of the things that lured me to BTX and made me even spend fiat for it.
