SegWit2X is not officially canceled, it's "suspended". But now all eyes are on Bitcoin Cash, so I wonder if that was part of their real strategy.
This might be a game which whale make to get profit from bitcoin cash. Maybe some more day, sewgit2x will start again  I will agree with you here. This fork might happen and probably even in November. It was not the cancellation in all meaning of this word. They have suspended sewgit2x, which means the fork will take its place one day. |

I suppose parity developers team or white hats (or both) will handle this problem without fork in few weeks for sure.
