It seems this whole fight with the government generated a huge amount of money for Wikileaks founder. So much to "negative marketing"...

Just read an article that Bitcoin transactions use so much energy that the electricity used for a single trade could power a home for almost a whole month. Not only does Bitcoin use a vast amount of electricity to complete transactions, it uses an almost exponentially larger amount than more traditional forms of electronic payment.

Can someone confirm this? It just is AMAZING info for me... i can't believe it, while stats show the contrary.

This number needs some context. 200kWh is enough to run over 200 washing cycles. In fact, it's enough to run my entire home over four weeks, which consumes about 45 kWh per week costing €39 of electricity

According to some news sources, Nordic Law(Law firm in Finland) is the first firm to fully embrace bitcoin and begin accepting it as a means of payment for legal services. The company primarily hopes to help clients who have issues with taxes in regards to using digital currency. Their primary bitcoin-paying clientele are foreigners who reside outside of Finland.

Assuming a cryptocurrency like Bitcoin achieves some level of adoption, what happens next? What products and services will be needed? What institutions should we expect to see? Where are the opportunities?

It is amazing how day by day bitcoins receive a bigger and bigger popularity, i think the future will be bitcoins.
What do you think about Swedish officials settling a debt in bitcoin? Should the Swedish government auction off the coins after they accept them?

Are there any other presidents involving in this as much as Putin does? I kinda find it strange that a president that has all power and tons of money involves in this. What do you think about it?
