81  Economy / Speculation / Re: China on: October 29, 2018, 12:12:32 PM
China are still one of the biggest players in cryptocurrency just in a different regard. They have a very big share of the mining of bitcoin and the government is often involved in decision making when it comes to regulation for mining etc. So while they may not have a big influence in terms of their populous buying bitcoin they still influence the price with their mining. They probably keep the price down in a lot of regards because of their giant farms, without them the average cost of mining might be higher and we might see further increases.
82  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will die at 2027 on: October 29, 2018, 12:09:06 PM
Few beginners are just blabbering the Bitcoin reputation so no one is consider this point. In 2027 Bitcoin circulation is completely survive in market so demand is increasing in the market. Bitcoin is a forever cryptocurrency so we should never mind these kind of rumours and negative feedback of Bitcoin. I hope all the altcoins are always secondary in crypto market.

a) bitcoin supply won't be completely circulated in 2027. b) when bitcoin supply is fully circulated you cannot assume price will always increase, market supply is more pertinent than circulating supply, people will always be willing to sell at varying prices for varying reasons, demand is also not constantly growing.
83  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic crash in 2019! RE.1 on: October 29, 2018, 12:06:57 PM
We must know that the economy can be considered to be manipulative, but it is precisely because the financial crisis is unpredictable. When it comes, it is like a demon that swallows hundreds of billions of dollars.

Financial crisis is unpredictable but you know also that it is avoidable. Through the correct management of the government in their economy. It would be difficult if the economy is in crisis, so avoiding the crisis is the best way not to experience another kind of it.

If it was so simple then we would never have another financial crisis again. The best economists the world over have analyzed every past crisis in the hope of finding the solution to never having one again but each and every time they have failed. There is no perfect solution. It is just like anything in life that there has to be a cycle of boom and bust in order to ensure equilibrium. Look at the planet, every however many millions of years there has to be an ice age to erase all of the damage that has been done. Or how plants grow in the warmer months then die in the colder months only to regrow stronger and more spread.
84  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic crash in 2019! RE.1 on: October 28, 2018, 11:06:25 AM
It's still unclear what influence a global economic crash would have on the crypto market, unlike traditional markets where it's very evident. I agree that economies the world over are exhibiting tell tale signs of an impending crash but I don't think that the market is fully ready for such a crash. The largest crashes normally come when people are not expecting them and when all economies and sectors are booming, right now there is still too much strife. I suspect we'll have a small scale crash but that the economy will quickly recover to a positive note for a further 5-10 years before we have another 07/08 sized market crash.
85  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will die at 2027 on: October 28, 2018, 11:03:19 AM
The number one flaw in this studies conclusion is that it assumes stability of all things except in the field of quantum computing. As that field progresses and advances so will other fields, by then bitcoin may have a new system which is not going to be easily target-able by a quantum computer, the same way that others have said quantum computers could target near anything, those systems will have improved security etc to be able to handle that. If you were trying to hack in to security systems of 20+ years ago with today's advancements it would be easy if you had an idea what you were doing but no one still uses those systems.
86  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin after 5 Halving - 10 years from now - What will be its price? on: October 28, 2018, 11:00:32 AM
The mining "dump" is the least important of the Bitcoin price drivers,
it actually is an important thing but not the way that people usually think (in terms of "dump" and "cost"). mining is a way of introducing new coins into circulation. in other words the increase of bitcoin supply. and for price to continue to rise, we have to see the demand increase at the same rate or higher.

If you necessarily need to talk about Bitcoin price, at least take gold as a base currency.
gold price is not stable either!

From an economic view it's less supply = higher price given demand is stable. The easier way to think about it is that right now about $10,000,000 needs to come to market each day to keep bitcoin price stable (in theory). Once there's only 225 btc a day instead of 1800 and assuming $10m is still introduced each day then a stable price point would mean bitcoin being priced at around $45,000.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good recent bounty campaigns? on: October 27, 2018, 11:10:02 AM
If someone has found some great campaigns they're not all that likely to share them with you because that just lowers their own return. You need to do your own research and check with ICOrating sites etc. There are numerous threads here on how to identify a good ICO, just put it in to the search bar in the top right. For a starter always try scan the whitepaper or read a one pager if they have one, then look at the ICO structure and the split with the bounty campaign. Ones offering 3-5% will generally offer better returns than those only offering 0.5-1%
88  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is "speculation leaving the market"? What does low BTC volatility really mean? on: October 27, 2018, 11:06:43 AM
Low volatility and low volume like we're experiencing indicate the market is in a state of limbo, people are relatively balanced in their expectation for the future price of bitcoin. Very few people still holding are willing to sell and very few people are looking to accumulate more bitcoin. As other's have said it's the quiet before the storm, a major price movement will occur over the next year or so it's just a question of which way. Price charts show similar patterns before and then an uptrend but no one time is the same as the last.
89  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin going towards the dark on: October 27, 2018, 11:03:44 AM
Bitcoin prices are constantly decreasing. Its price has increased slightly a few days ago, but now it has decreased again. So, the bitcoin will be completely destroyed? If the predictions of different researchers will be wrong then..
What is the reason for lowering the price of Bitcoin?
I think it has not gotten to the bottom yet and we should hope that bitcoin will recover when it get to the bottom.  I see many investors that buy bitcoin over $10,000 still holding and I am keeping faith that in 2019 we would see another direction of the market.

We were at the bottom of 6000 USD so many times this year. I've checked the charts and we've never defended a bottom so many times in history. At least I couldn't find another similar event. Maybe this really is the bottom? Bitcoin is so easy to manipulate that I wouldn't be scared if we went to 5000 USD. I think that almost all traders that still have fiat to spend are looking to buy at that level.

The only strange thing with the 6000 bottom is it's been defended but other than 2 times (that I remember) it wasn't tested too heavily, there's mostly just been low volume sells which will easily be fended off. I believe 6k is the bottom and will hold, the fact it's so close to the cost of mining 1 bitcoin is also always a good indicator. As for people having spare fiat to buy at under 6k I don't think there's too many people in that boat, most who think 6k is a bottom will have bought at 6k because long-term it's a sound investment and 5k might not come. 6k is also much safer than 5k, if we go below the 6k bottom who knows when we might stop.

91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: McAfee to stop promoting ICOs on: June 24, 2018, 02:58:30 PM
His promotion of ICOs has never been an issue, it's his use of this for his own personal gain that's an issue. He buys tokens in the ICOs he promotes and then dumps them on the guys he shills to as well as the fact he uses it as a platform to gain publicity and notoriety.
92  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTCUSD Bullish Divergence on: June 23, 2018, 09:02:31 AM
Hitting a new low for the year doesn't seem like that bullish of a signal to me. It does seem like a good time to buy though given the old adage of buying low and selling high.
93  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mt. Gox: Bitcoin’s Dark Chapter Ends With a Doorway to $1 Billion in Refunds on: June 23, 2018, 09:00:50 AM
And what of Karpeles? Does this mean that he will not receive anything as all of the recovered coins will be allocated to previous customers? Would this not mean that the $400m Kobayashi sold would have been pointless?
94  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin dream run over ?? on: June 20, 2018, 11:06:59 AM
Bitcoin's journey is not over. A few months of hurting does not erase 10 years of great growth and progress. People are often very short-minded and forget what's come before.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitcoinTalk starts an ICO to improve the Forum Look & Feel on: June 18, 2018, 03:57:48 AM
Not a huge amount needs to be changed with forum look and feel. And if it did need to be changed then finances wouldn't be an issue. The forum receives a lot of donations etc and would do so even more if they actually asked for it. Don't forget most people involved in the forum have been here since the beginning when bitcoin was less than 1 cent.
96  Economy / Economics / Re: FED has increased interest rates, ECB will do the same! on: June 17, 2018, 02:25:16 PM
Increased interest rates generally slow the growth of an economy and definitely in speculative investments such as cryptocurrency. When interest rates increase saving is more favorable as an alternative to investing.
right, with the added interest rate then the person owed for the business to be reduced, so that will slow the growth of economi, because all entrepreneurs i think can not be separated from the bank

Yep, borrowing increases and so there is less investment in to the economy from businesses also. Saving is more advantage over spending. Interest rates are seen as a sign that an economy is doing well but in fact they're used to slow growth.

98  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency and Blockchain technology on: June 16, 2018, 02:12:17 AM
blockchain technology and cryptocurrency are so interconnected that it's almost hard to think of them being thought up separately to one another. The reason why we cannot consider the use of a cryptocurrency as a global currency as an answer to our problems is because we are a long way from that becoming a reality, individual countries will not give up the power and financial advantage that they receive from their own currencies and the control they have over them (USA for example). Without crypto being used as a global currency it cannot solve the worlds problems. Even if it was it wouldn't solve the worlds problems, it would just go a small way towards doing so.
99  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New biggest crash since 2013? on: June 15, 2018, 02:57:34 PM
Cryptocurrency market has always recovered in the past, the technology is revolutionary, I see no reason for that trend to change. But that doesn't mean this won't be the biggest crash since 2013/14, that's already the case and even if we recovered again to 20k in the next month (we won't) it would still have been that big of a crash.
100  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A Cruel Storm Crashes The Crypto Market on: June 15, 2018, 02:55:53 PM
It's not really a cruel storm and the market hasn't crashed that far in the last week. It's been bad but it's also been mostly quite predictable. We have been on this path for many months and fluctuating between 10k and 6k. Also disagree that the price will continue to crash without good news, right now no news is good news in my opinion, that's because almost any news story to break potentially in the next weeks will be bad.
