221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] GRAFT - Universal Payment Processing Network on: March 15, 2018, 09:06:00 AM
Only partnership with bitmain can save this coin, refuse algo change and embrace ASICs. Bitmain will pump your shitcoin so investors will be able to sell at ICO price and return their money.

GRAFT is one of the few new coins on the market with real project and real purpose. This is not "copy-paste" coin, but real project.
It is hard to understand Your logic, may I ask You to explain how Bitmain can pump this coin?

It is official, Graft will support antiASIC fork...

Edollar
Electroneum(anti-asic stance in whitepaper)

If ETN follow their whitepaper statements, only small altcoins will be mineable by this ASIC.
GRAFT coin also reviewing the situation with  antiASIC fork (official statement from DEVs).
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] GRAFT - Universal Payment Processing Network on: March 13, 2018, 02:29:18 PM

Coins that won't update pow will die and cryptonight asics will die with them, this is why they are selling them now.

Seems like people are a little nervous about the price going down even further, which it will when you can mine 20KH/s@60watts on these new ASIC miners. But why would graft die when they are ICO funded? Even if they take a little while to make changes to stop ASIC's its just cheaper graft for all Smiley. Once the team sorts out some decent exchanges, has marketing with a working product everything will work itself out.

Regarding the last BLOG announcement, Graft developers need every USD from ICO. Most of main features are in early Alpha phase. They have a lot of work to put this features in production. This last price correction from 500 to 400 satoshies, show what coin owners think about last announcement.
The trade price of coin is determined by lot of factors, and everyone can decide should it hold or sell his coins. Lot of Grafts are hold by supernode investors (mostly miners), some of them have over 500K coins. I they lost faith in this coin, and future of Graft mining (antiASIC fork), we will have masive inflation, with chain reaction.

Fate of this asic is sealed after fork, no asic is good for crypto, they sell it only when its no more profitable. Asic buyers are always losers (hello bitmain d3 buyers).

Unfortunately, people never learn from the past... just for remainder, here is a thread from Bitmain D3 owners, it will worth to see before buy new ASIC.

227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] GRAFT - Universal Payment Processing Network on: March 13, 2018, 12:57:00 PM
Coin owners (developers) try to achieve the highest possible price for their coin. If Electroneum like Monero, change the algo, There will be very small daily trade volume on all other Cryptonight coins. So, it will be much more coins to sell, then buyers need. Open market, and we will have a big price drop.
Graft developers, want the best for their project for sure, and I believe that they will follow trend of antiASIC algo change, and protect the Graft value.

The number of coins mined per day does not depend on the network hashrate. Introduction of ASICs will just cause those daily-mined coins to be in hands of few people instead of many people like now.
asic miners dump all they mine as soon as possible and ruin coins

When the main player in Cryptonight algo (Monero, followed by another coins) switch to antiASIC fork the new ASIC owners has to choose some small coins to mine.
All other cryptonight altcoins  are very small, mining difficulty will skyrocket, and the mining will be unprofitable even for new ASIC owners.
228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal Giant N - Cryptonight, Cryptonight-lite ASIC miner on: March 13, 2018, 09:48:47 AM
How i understand these miners developed long time ago and used by developers for mining cryptonight, and now he want sell him?

Miner developers (Baikal) use them while it is extra profitable, (why sell something, what make you extra high profit, without any competition, they mined quietly) and after they spoil the diff. and profitability start to fall, they start selling units.
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain release ether and new miners. on: March 13, 2018, 12:49:18 AM

Yes it will unfortunately.  Shocked  Or at least until Vitalik Buterin figures out how to modify the pow algo to make these things expensive
heaters like the guys on monero are doing to the cryptonite ASCIS at the end of this month.

Most of cryptonight coins will  probably follow Monero ... and make successful conversion of Baikal units to "exclusive noisy heaters....powered by ASIC"  Grin
230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] GRAFT - Universal Payment Processing Network on: March 12, 2018, 09:04:11 PM

Most of the Cryptonight coins will follow the algo change as Monero, IPBC, etc... Monero hold a 900MHs network. Can You imagine what will happen to small coins what will not change the algo? So, I believe that almost all cryptonight coins will make antiASIC steps.

You make an excellent point.  I just hope they are proactive like Monero instead of waiting to see what happens.  Graft has really grown on me over the last month and I would hate to see an asic invasion here.

We appreciate everyone's opinion on this issue. The GRAFT dev team is actively researching and discussing this topic. We will make an announcement once we make a decision.

Thank You very much for an answer and participation in this topic. I highly appreciate your efforts, and hope that You will follow the big ones (Monero), and protect value of Yours (and ours) Grafts.
231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU mining will die in 2018! on: March 12, 2018, 08:52:49 PM
Right now I'm concerned cause I really thought the asic companies would never build a cryptonight asic cause that is too shameful, cryptonight is the last defense right now against all evil in the money world. This is really bad, those companies don't have a single bit of decency or morality whatsoever.

The ASIC producers, cheat their buyers several times.

- D3 Dash miner: todays profit 3.96USD (if You calculate the electric power cost, not profitable at all)
- L3 Litecoin miner: todays profit 8.2USD (hardly profitable)
- S9 SHA256 miner: todays profit 9.98USD (with small drop of BTC will not be profitable)

Some of those units people bought for over 3000USD. Now they have only noisy heaters, and lost their money.

What a business model! Produce the unit, take money from buyers in advance, put it in mining farm for 3 months while it is very profitable, and than deliver it like used ones. Make a huge oversold of units and algo diff. skyrocket, profitability ZERO.
They know what they are doing, and doing it with every new model. Huge hype on the beginning (representing big profitability at moment), presale etc... Only early adopters can profit, all others, when they receive units, have very long period of ROI.
I hope that new buyers will understand this "ponzi scheme" and protect their money.

Regarding this new "cryptonight miner", I think that this will be the first time We have here antihype atmosphere.
Monero team  (biggest Cryptonight coin) announce antiASIC fork, followed by other (IPBC etc...). All other cryptonight coins do not have enough daily trade volume, and when we will have more coins than it can be sold price will drop.
Coin owners invest lot in their coins, I believe they will protect projects, and will follow the Monero, IPBC etc...in anti ASIC algo change.
It is much better than see the prices around one satoshi.

Can you tell us if you are going to do a pow change or fork to stop this new giant n asic from baikal hitting the network hard?

Although ASIC mining seems to be inevitable, we are monitoring the situation and weighing our options.

I seriously hope you will follow Monero’s footsteps before the asics crush the Graft network rather than doing so after.

But at least I can mine Monero again if you choose not to do anything.  Smiley

233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU mining will die in 2018! on: March 12, 2018, 07:50:58 PM
I think that GPU mining has die long before ...

Every few months We have an info that GPU mining will die. I heard it since first ASIC came to market. But, GPU mining is here, and will be here in the future. Maybe, with some new algos, new coins... and new GPUs...
Let's try to look it from another side. What is the profitable life time of one brand new ASIC? Not more than 8 months, and You will never know would You make return of Your investment. If You bought RX470/480 in August 2016, it is still profitable.

234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BAIKAL Giant-N scam or not ? Will you be able to mine after 1 mounth ? on: March 12, 2018, 07:27:29 PM
and it has only 2 algo Sad

In fact only one algo, and one algo variant...
235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal Giant N - Cryptonight, Cryptonight-lite ASIC miner on: March 12, 2018, 06:19:11 PM
The guys over at baikal(or asicminersmarket?) have probably been mining with this equipment for a while. Did a quick search on google, and this thread came up: https://www.reddit.com/r/MoneroMining/comments/7s9zwe/fpga_mining/ - with the identical specs with the "new" baikals. It may seem that we are receiving used equipment and that this is reason of increase of hashrate over the last months. The reason for them selling them now may well be the upcoming fork.

Very interesting...really the same specs, thanks for sharing...in effect I do not find that Baikal declare that those units are new...but probably passed looong BurnIn tests  Wink
236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal Giant N - Cryptonight, Cryptonight-lite ASIC miner on: March 12, 2018, 06:00:29 PM
If Electroneum change the algo like Monero announce, the daily trading volume of all other cryptonight coins are very low, and We can expect a big price drop of cryptonight coins soon. Coin owners probably protect their coins, and change the algo.
ROI for this unit will be long...
Good thing is that price of cryptonight contracts on NiceHash will be very low  Wink

238  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Advcash | a new "anonymous" bitcoin debit card [EUR & USD] on: March 11, 2018, 11:49:56 PM
What is about sending of fiat from AdvCash to Mistertango Mastercard. I sent it few times without any issue, but last week, after I fulfill an order, I got immediate refund of sent amount.  Undecided
239  Economy / Exchanges / Re: TradeOgre on: March 11, 2018, 11:23:57 PM
I use this tiny exchange. This exchange are mostly for miners, and they list minerable  low volume coins.
Layout of exchange is very easy to use, and exchange is very fast. I did not have any issue with this exchange, but it is a little bit scary to know that there is no possibility of any support, contact or ticket.
The only contact is Twitter, but I found, that some coin development teams do not found the way how to contact them and arrange the coin listing.
Positive side is that exchange owners recognize the community needs.
Example:
Coin Graft (GRFT), do not give any info or date for exchange listing, even 3 weeks after the ICO was finish. Tradeogre recognize that and made "unsupported" listing of Graft. Now they have around 5 BTC daily volume of GRFT.

Is there any mining pool available for Tronic. Significant exchange volume for such new coin!
