1  Economy / Service Announcements / Access wallet addresses easily, without storing private keys or security phrases on: October 13, 2019, 05:42:23 PM
I'm pretty sure everyone has heard of that one person who's device was stolen, or their computer was hacked, stealing wallet addresses, private keys, and even security phrases. Well, that happened to me after someone broke into my hotel room and stole my work laptop.  Fortunately, before they could figure out how to withdraw the funds out of my wallets, I was able to extract the funds and send them to entirely new address, but the difficult part of this was remembering the addresses.  Storing the addresses seemed unlikely, since other secure information would also be stored in the same location.  All I really wanted to was keep an address book to help pay certain vendors and also make deposits into my own accounts.

I'm not sure why, but most wallets do not have an address feature.  Having a one stop shop for all your wallets just make the entire use case easier, and I believe it's that would help attract new crypto users to support the industry and it's movement.  An address book like Digital Names saved me a lot of time to pull up saved files and find the needed address.  Oh, and this is not limited to one specific blockchain, so you can have different wallet address like BTC, ETH, STEEM, ETC, and so on...
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Many new traders are playing to lose on: September 11, 2019, 04:00:43 PM
Are you playing to lose or you are playing to win? a friend of mine lose all his bitcoin to trading and when he started complaining about i decide to take a look and i detected that he traded in a gambler's way.
He has 100$ and he traded just twice with 50$ which results in quick lose,im not an trading expert but most trading platforms always warn traders to limit their trading to the highest of 10$ which would have given him more chances to continue trading

Apart from not learning how trading works he is playing to lose,i think this is what many newbies are doing as well,if you are doing the same you will always end up losing your money,if you want to bet 50$ on a trade you must have thousands  of dollars on the trading platform not trading with 100$ and be praying for a miracle.

Trading is not something you can rush, expert traders out there spend days trading for profits and if a particular day is full of loss they quit trading for that day.

You don't lose if you don't sell.  It's pretty simple.  I guess in theory right?  I suppose new traders to need known exactly what they are getting involved in first.  Do lots of researched, never make an emotion decision on a trade, or panic buy/sell.  There are lots of resources to help make a profitable trade decision, even run test trades.  If I knew now what I didn't back in 2012, I'd make a hell of a lot of money, just by backtesting alone.  Hell, I didn't even know what backtesting was until smart bot coin made it open to use.  Most of the trade simulators I've seen are either crazy expensive or you need to code them from scratch.

But anyways, new traders, just HODL and you'll be fine.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The best exchange in 2019? on: September 06, 2019, 03:55:06 PM
Binance, of course. If you dont need fiat thats the perfect variant
Ya def. Binance.  I love their APIs because you can sync them to many other platforms, further enhancing the trade experience.  Backtesting, for example, helps me with trade simulations, opposed to TA.  Who follows TA anyways, other than if you want a quick laugh?  The only system I know who has such feature is Smartbot Coin.
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Personal Project transformed into Trading Platform - Feedback Please! on: September 04, 2019, 03:41:52 PM
I would like to know more about the "Automated Trading Bots" and also if they have a roadmap planned for upcoming features.  Honestly, I don't mind doing the HODL trading strategy, but having a reliable trade system supported with AI would help reach financial objectives a lot faster.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The best exchange in 2019? on: September 02, 2019, 03:32:14 PM
What's the best exchange that's open to tradebots or AI trading?  I'm testing a personal code and just wondering which has a friendly API to work with.  Thanks.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Another Bear Market coming soon? on: August 30, 2019, 03:30:13 PM
It's all about the bears and the bulls, doesn't seem like much gray area.  It's simple really, just pay attention to the patterns and trading become a lot easier.  Or just use a trade bot, right?  They seem to be more popular these days than before, granted the improved technology.

It's true in a way, AI is definitely revolutionizing the trading world and its providing us a lot of features to help us get better at trading, and not just the usual analytic chart.

Yeah, that's what I was getting at, AI is a better term to use.  Calling it a trade bot just seems too robotic.  So far, Smartbot Coin's AI trader seems to be doing pretty good so far on the test trades I've done.

With all these altcoins, how do you keep up with your portfolio without having to manually check each one?  Sure you have a portfolio management system.

Interesting.  This is what Halo Platform should have been.  I'm looking forward to see more development from this project.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Do crypto trading bots really generate profits? on: July 29, 2019, 05:16:16 PM
It really depends on how the traders are building strategies while trading. It depends on the taste of  trader whether they are technical traders or fundamental and according to my experience if a bot or tool says that they can outperform the market, you need to stay away from that. No one can outperform the market in the long term, and yes trading tools can help build strategies to make informed decisions. Recently one of my friends suggested a trading tool named SmartBotCoin.

I haven't used this tool and am not familiar with this so I researched and found the features on their website look good. But as a trader, my main focus is to maximize my trading portfolio so I usually like to be sure before using a product/service. Crypto is a once in a lifetime opportunity so I am very cautious before using any product/service that is related to trading/investments. Do you think it's worth trading on this tool?

In this week's newsletter, details are provided on the recent Featherlite update to version 1.0.2.  Please ensure to update you wallet to the current version.  With the new update, Masternode management is more user friendly from withdrawing rewards to selling shares in the marketplace.  In addition, the wallet syncs up to the network more efficiently.

Other Featherlite updates in progress will allow for more customization.

For those who missed the AMA with Devin Seto, this video has been archived.  Within this video, as well as the newsletter, is a teaser of a game in development from Block and Chain studios - Draggin' Dragons.

Halo Platform Featherlite v1.0.2 Patch Notes

Featherlite v1.0.2 patch notes

Summary of Key New Features:
-Loading masternodes is much faster now (10 seconds to 3 minutes depending on the speed of your connection and whether or not you are using Lite or Full node).

-Masternode DApp: On the top action bar, there is now a loading bar and progress indicator to show the % progress in synching to the masternode system.

-Masternode DApp: On the top action bar, we added a Withdraw All button to withdraw your masternode rewards with a single click.

-Masternode DApp: On the top action bar, we added a Toggle View button to switch your masternode view between the previous card format and a summary list format.

-Masternode Monitoring screen: Graphs which show the total amount of active masternodes within the network, the current minting pool and current service fee pool.

-Masternode Marketplace: Pending Orders have been re-enabled so you can buy and sell masternode shares once again.

Known Issues and Workarounds:
-It may take 15-20 secs before MN sync begins - sometimes 2-3 mins. But it is working. The indicator (moving bar) and text will disappear if there is an error.

-Withdraw All Button: Only withdraws rewards for masternodes attached to current Halo Prime. Individual master nodes rewards can still be withdrawn the traditional way if they are not attached to your current Halo Prime wallet.

We were scammed out of .4 BTC in Listing fees by this exchange. And banned once we made it public. CMC is also in on their scam by inflating their true daily volume into the millions (650 BTC at present) when once research is done on the site the volume is between 4-7 Bitcoin in daily volume.

same thing happened to me.
