1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Juno Coin on: February 01, 2018, 04:08:38 PM
1.02.2018. I traded Bitcoin during the month.  At the end of the month Bitcoin is down 29% from previous month, Juno assets are up 52% from previous month and 1768% from the beginning.
Profits every month are not guaranteed.
You can get Waves from faucets and buy Juno at only 0.00000001 Waves from Waves DEX.

$80. I learned my lesson and I am not interested of this platform anymore.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES | Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform | WEEKLY AIRDROPS !!! on: January 06, 2018, 04:07:14 PM
Well said "some orders" not all of them. The rest were removed and I was left with a balance many blocks back.
Obviously when Waves developers trade on the DEX they will never lose because when they lose they "return parts of the blocks back" to a place where they don't lose.

Probably many of you have noticed that occasionally Waves Lite Client  has long interruptions and wondered what  was going on. After my talks with the support today I found the answer of this question for myself and if you read the conversation you can make up your mind for yourself.

Dear Sir,
Yesterday 5.01.2018 I left Waves platform with *** Bitcoins and *** Waves in it.
My last order in the DEX was for buying *** Waves at *** Bitcoins which I cancelled.
This morning my balance is *** Btc and *** Waves which is not correct.
Can you fix it?
Regards
PS. Nothing on your support website yesterday showed that you will be doing maintenance work and there would be interruptions.

Hello.
Due to the important update in the full node code, a few hours ago the orders were canceled and the funds were returned. For this reason, please place new orders. If you got some transaction yesterday you need to contact the Sender to they repeat your output transaction.
The network is operating in normal mode.
Thank you for understanding!

This answer is not serious. You cancelled already filled orders and you changed my balance. My balance shows less then it was even before your changes.
You have to fix my balance at your own expenses because it is not my fault that you were doing something esterday and did not even boder to make announcement before that so every one can decide whether to trade and take a risk or wait.

If yesterday, during the work with the node, you received the funds in your account, then these funds were returned to the sender. In this case, you should contact the sender's support with the request to repeat the outgoing transaction.
if during work with the node you had open orders, then they were canceled. In this case, you need to create orders again.

You are not reading carefuly. We are talking about Waves DEX orders. In my case I had *** btc and *** waves in the account yesterday morning before starting trading and before you starting changes. During the day my balance reached *** btc and *** waves. This morning my bitcoin balance is empty and I have *** Waves. You cancelled already filled orders. It is imposible for me to ask some one from the DEX traders.

During the work with the node, programmers returned parts of the blocks back, so all the balances changed: the orders were canceled and the transactions were returned to the senders.
In other words, you did not sell or buy anything. In this case, you need to create orders again.

If I did not buy or sell anything where these *** Waves come from.
Do you understand that I left my account in state with no Waves in it and I find it this morning with no Bitcoins in it and full of Waves.

 Reply
Support Agent 3 hours ago
That mean your buy order have filled after/before the work with the node.

That means I lost $*** because of your actions which I believe you will pay even in Waves. Thank you.
Next time when you decide to make changes inform everyone well in advance on your support web site.

The history of all orders and transactions is available in the Explorer - https://wavesdesk.com/account/3P*****************R3
You can independently calculate the balance taking into account the amount of incoming and outgoing transactions and amount of orders. Then provide these calculations to us.

The calculations which i made are based on my balance which the platform showed yesterday late afternoon and this morning. They were *** btc and *** waves yesterday, and *** btc and *** waves this morning. I use the current coinmarketcap.com rates. What I want is my balance which I last saw yesterday afternoon or at least the balance which I had yesterday morning before the trading and before the changes which you made - *** btc and *** waves.

Before the change of balance you can not determine the appropriate balance transactions and trading history.

What balance do you want me to calculate? The information which you are giving is  after you changed the blocks. In this case the balance is already calculated and I don not agree with it.

After the upgrade, the block system returned to the state before the specific block. That is, all orders and transactions committed earlier were canceled and returned to the senders.

All this was clear from the beginning. What is not clear is why your programmers return parts of the blocks back. Doing this they literally change the balances of the wallets which brings losses to some people like me and profits to other people /may be the programmers/.
You can not call this decentralized platform and decentralized exchange if you are able to change blocks back to where you like. This is called manipulation and fraud and I will bring this to the attention of the sociaty. I consider this case closed.

Waves payments not going through and DEX is empty. Anyone knows anything about this?
It just started working again. I also had the same problem for about 1 hour.

There are over 8000 Waves' based tokens. All of them completely unknown because the Waves developers removed their names. Imagine if every one of these tokens have 100 followers it would be a Waves' society of 800 000 people and a lot of life and money around it. It could be like Ethereum network. Every one saw what happened with the Crypto Kitties on the Ethereum network, so many transactions and joy. And this is just one example.
What is the point for Waves platform to be the fastest. No point. And this is why the price of the Wave will go down. May be $5 next month.
Meanwhile I will register a domain www.CemGnMxKUv33rh3x1AATKpSqVZjhwGVpGCMMdW66Fwbi.com for my Juno coin until I wait for the name to be visible on Waves platform.

I think Waves price is too far away from Eth price and this gap will close.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BEST ALTCOIN TO INVEST IN DECEMBER on: December 10, 2017, 09:33:07 AM
Best altcon in December, it WAVES view how many events they have in December. Soon the output of the purse. 15 Dec hard fork. Starting DEx. launch WAVES ng they will be the fastest blockchain platform in the world. I think December is the last month when we see the price below $ 10

the fastest....and cheapest.

Don't forget that you can get free Waves from the faucets and buy Juno at only 0.00000001 Waves. I can not guarantee the same profit every month.  Juno market cap is only 15600 Waves so hurry up.

1.12.2017. I traded Bitcoin during the month. There were many news and Bitcoin was volatile with up trend which gave me a lot of opportunities to make good trades. At the end of the month Bitcoin is up 52.30% from previous month, Juno assets are up 156.23% from previous month and 366.87% from the beginning.
5 000 000 Juno coins sold during the month. Owner doesn't hold any Juno coins.
Profits every month are not guaranteed. Your money back IS guaranteed.

Waves will have its rally. Bitcoin attracts attention at the moment. Still Waves gets expensive and the turnover is up.

Where the info about 1K Waves needed to run a node come from?
I saw it mentioned in the interview.

I've been working on Waves NG subject today just to get a better understanding of that new powerful development of Waves. One thing I am wondering is, does the higher throughput of transactions comes along with higher security issues? And does it has any impact on the network stability?
Not as far as I am aware to both of those questions.

On another note, the closed beta invites have been sent out yesterday. Anyone get in?

I'm not a proven expert, but I think there might well be security or stability issues. Would be interesting if someone from Waves could comment on that. Is there a platform besides Bitcointalk where such subjects to Waves are discussed? Telegram group for example?

There is https://wavestalk.org
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What Altcoins will reach $1000+ in the future? on: November 20, 2017, 06:03:32 PM
It is strange that no one mentioned Waves so far. I think Waves has the potential to grow faster than the other coins.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES | Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform | unofficial supporters topic on: November 19, 2017, 04:14:43 PM
What will happen to tokens created on waves? Not verified ones?
We wait.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES | Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform | unofficial supporters topic on: November 18, 2017, 06:10:52 PM
I have a noob question: now Waves' market cap is around 500000k and ETH's market cap is 60x that number. do you think it could be able to close this gap in short time or not? I don't believe Waves is ready to a comparison with ETH, but i would like to hear your opinion!

First thing I have to say, I have great respect for Ethereum, their founders and what they have achieved.

But at some poins Ethereum is losing it's lead.

Let me explain this:

Ethereum exists for ~3 years now and is struggling with scalability. During ICO's there are problems with handling transactions, some people paid over $2000 in gas to participate in an ICO.

Waves is working on scalability right from the start. Currently it has Waves-NG on testnet that will enable 1,000 transactions per second, where ETH can only handle ~7 transactions per second.

Ethereum has the Solidity script language for smart contracts. Though it's very sophisticated, it needs highly skilled coders and comprehensive audits before the smart contracts can be released.
And even then, we all remember the DAO, multisig wallet hacks, multisig wallet locks, etc. It seems to be very hard to write "flawless" code in Solidity.

Waves will implement on a non-Turing complete script language called Sigma. It will be easier and safer to write, audit and implement. "Keep it simple".

Ethereum wallets are difficult to understand and work with for people who are in crypto for the first time. Try the Mist wallet, compare it to the Waves Lite Client and you'll see the difference. There are DEX (decentralized exchanges) for Ethereum but they are slow, not very user friendly or under development.

The Waves Lite Client has a built in DEX, it's easy to use already. After the Waves-NG + new DEX release, it will be lightning fast, even during high transaction volumes.

So currently, Ethereum and Waves are in a different developmental state, where Waves aims at UX / UI and speed right from the start and Ethereum is more or less struggling and awaiting the 2019 (?) Plasma release to catch up.

i understood... thank you very much, you wrote something specific and easy, great job and good luck!

Another thing - Eth is PoW which is energy consuming. Waves is PoS.

Why is the price not rocketering Huh
I never understood why people think posting some news must result in a direct price increase.

Because after news people have expectations. On the market we trade expectations. The price can go either way.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost 80% of my bitcoins in alts, What can I do now?! on: November 15, 2017, 04:41:53 PM
It is probably not a bad idea to give your coins to someone that knows how to trade.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves future on: November 15, 2017, 04:37:06 PM
People that haven't used the platform should not give an opinion I think. For those not willing to read the papers it is a good idea to take a look on the Waves turnover and to take a decision for themselfes. It was about $2-4 mil. a month ago, it is now $10-20 mil. That speaks a lot I guess.
