Hi chancefx,
miniZ should be able to mine ZEL on Windows 10. It looks that, in your case, there is a bit more memory being used by the OS.
Could you paste here the output of miniZ.exe -ci ?
This can help us to understand this, and improve the miner for the next version.
Cheers

sure,

Hi chancefx,
thanks! We will have a look, maybe we can fix this for the next version or even earlier. Smiley
Cheers
awesome, you're the best guys Wink

Is it possible to make miniz able to mine zelcash with 1060 3Gb cards in windows 10?
All my mining rigs running win 10...
Thank you for your great work.
Hi Valter84,

You may try and run it on Windows 10 by adding --mode 10. If it works, it will be a bit slower.

Could you paste here the beginning of console output when you start miniZ? This may help us with trying to improve this.

Cheers

hey miniZ, so, there are no ways to mine with 1063 on win10, even with --mode 10?

Thanks for your comments.

I just wanted to say that my vision will be followed only in no tax chain. Similarly BTC has no tax (any tax).

If BTCZ community want tax that's OK I respect that. BTCZ is community coin. To add tax you need to hardfork (create new chain).
I also respect ASICs resistant hardfork - it was great achievement.
No tax chain will be still active if at least one person mine it. No tax vision may be also named and continue as separate coin.

How to stay in no tax chain (ASICs resistant)? Just use current full nodes.
Hopefully there will be at least one dev who will support no tax vision. We can end up with two separate coins which may be also good for current holders because they receive two coins.

In addition
ASICs friendly chain has been abandoned. I think that it will be also good to continue that work - of course by different brand.

As I remember there is possibility for soft fork, no chain split. If yes we always can roll back VaultZ. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Thank you!

share your oc settings guys

dev i am.still.waiting for 3gb 1060 doesnt working

I finally did what you ask for, the results are sad, I think it's like this: https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/15b9654e-5da7-45b7-93de-e8b63faef064/windows-10-does-not-let-cuda-applications-to-use-all-vram-on-especially-secondary-graphics-cards?forum=win10itprohardware, my measurements show that 2.6 GB is available for win10, but the algorithm requires 2.9. So I do not think I can fix it. In the future, I will return to this.

I've been re-upload the first version without any differences, other than fixing the memory check, this eliminates a possible miner crash.
Hey, but it works for me with 1063 on win 10, see my previous message

...Most ASIC Resistant...
At some point, people will learn wtf they are talking about and stop making such ignorant claims.  Roll Eyes
The only "ASIC resistance" change is in the amount of RAM that the ASIC would require, meaning that "resistance" is only "increased" by an infinitesimal amount.

People in general have to realize, there is no "Asic Resistance". For every POW-Algorithm, there can and if its worth it will be an Asic for it

yeah yeah Smiley) will see how quick will be asic for ZHash algo

What are the parameters for overclocking 1070? same as for Equihash?

I'm using the same parameters for overclocking for my 1060's and it works fine
