In a sense it is. Steem power is mineable with a cpu, but not Steem tokens. Steem power can be converted into the currency though over 2 years of weekly payments. |

Is the content removed from the blockchain? If it all stays, can't someone create steemit uncensored? Did you read the linked debate? My entire point is that Dan, Ned, and Steemit Inc. hypothetically can be sued to censor the blockchain itself. They have enough stake to choose the 19 witnesses. And it is illegal to fork Steem. Checkmate. Lol, "19 witnesses" sounds like a biblical story. No matter if you get sued or not. You can't erase stuff from the blockchain. It will always be there. It is not like they can go to every single person that runs a node, confiscate their equipment, and then release a new clean blockchain. That is not how any of this works. |

What benefit does the voter have when their vote becomes worth wore? Isn't the writer of the voted post, the one who benefits from the voter power? Your curation rewards(the amount you earn from upvoting high ranking posts), is much higher if your steem power is higher. I am not sure of the exact numbers. I don't quite understand the rest though, can you explain a bit more please? It is hard for me to explain tbh, but I will try.  I just grabbed that screenshot off of steemd.com. At that exact moment, for 248.657 STEEM(tokens) powered up you would receive 1,000,000 VESTS. But, if you go there now the costs will be higher, so if someone had bought 248.657 steem power right at that moment, it has already increased to  And that is just after a few minutes. It keeps growing day after day as more and more steem tokens are converted into steem power. |

New steem tokens / steem dollar tokens issued to pay the authors. What gives value to these tokens is the market demand for them (BTC/SBD, BTC/STEEM pairs). Completely agree. But I am not asking where new STEEM are printed. That is clear. I am asking who and why will pay BTC and $$$ for those STEEM tokens. What is the mechanism to create market demand for them? Just speculation? People want to buy them to increase their steem power. With higher steem power, their votes are worth more. Steem power in accounts also increases when more steem tokens are added by others that are buying steempower. |

I considered getting in on this, but after reading and getting confused, i decided it would be best to just wait till the ICO(or ICOO, or ICOUR) was over and I could just buy them on the exchange. I did grab a few off c-cex(just in case) but nothing major.

It seems a fair bit of people have. If it turns out to be a scam people will speak up really quickly, but so far nothing of that has shown up. I have "got paid" multiple times. From both writing, and powering down weekly payments. |

Would it not be easier to just post the 1-2 paragraphs of text on here? It is not like the "ICO Summary" is pages long or anything. But the price is right at the top. In case anyone missed it. ICO Price per Stratis token: 948.15/84,000,000= 1129 Satoshi (0.00001129) What I mean is that it is ridiculous to expect everyone to go to an external website just to read a few sentences of text. He has typed more posts referring people to the "ICO Summary" page than he would have by just typing the stats in the OP. |
