1122  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: cex.io vs https://picostocks.com/stocks/view/19 on: October 28, 2013, 03:41:10 AM
Not sure if I fully agree with your argument.  If BTC goes up, then it's worth more, so you should be able to buy more GHS. But I guess, since BTC, the GHS is always worth more since it allows you to mine it.  But really I think they just cancel each other out since the mining is the same as the value of the BTC???

I don't think it should have an affect on the price. Just me though.
1123  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: cex.io vs https://picostocks.com/stocks/view/19 on: October 28, 2013, 02:59:17 AM
It's closer to .1 BTC now =/ Getting expensive...I guess more ppl are finding out about cloud mining.

Can someone teach me how to set up namecoin collection from these guys?  I'm a bit of a noob in this field...they said you can also mine namecoins...but it's not clear how it's set up =/
1125  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Analysis of Bitcoin Pooled Mining Reward Systems on: October 27, 2013, 11:04:40 PM
So...what pools would you use?  What's PtoPool???
1126  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: cex.io vs https://picostocks.com/stocks/view/19 on: October 27, 2013, 11:02:02 PM
How do you take the emotions out of days where BTC loses 1/2 of it's value??  I day tried a bit..but I'm one of those suckers that sells when it's low and buys when its high..hahaha...

I need to control my emotions better.  I'm doing exactly what you said....slowly converting a portion of my dollar income into BTC =)
1127  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Help contacting Butterfly Labs on: October 27, 2013, 10:53:37 PM
Wow...so glad i paid with credit card...I was able to pull back the transactions pretty easy...no dealing with BFL.
1128  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Apparently you can buy hashes at 0.18 BTC/GH from cex.io (behind ghash.io) on: October 27, 2013, 10:49:02 PM
Yeah it is!  You missed the boat on the .075 BTC/GHS prices.  It's a little bit more expensive...but still much better than buying something on ebay right now.
1129  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Only buy 1+ Terahash or more Bitcoin miners hardware on: October 27, 2013, 10:45:07 PM
Don't understand your comment???
1130  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Worth it? on: October 27, 2013, 10:40:33 PM
These things are going for 5k on ebay right now...in other words those poor suckers that are buying are losing money! Poor guys.

I don't see anyone selling them for 1k =/
1131  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Will a Sep/Oct KNC jupiter ever ROI? on: October 27, 2013, 10:25:53 PM
in our case the magic number is also 55 btc since at time of purchase of our jupiters bitcoin was at 100,- € and price tag was 5500,- €. interesting to read how much other day 1 owners have mined in the first few days, since knc hosting had a bad start.

we are happy with our purchase.
If I recall correctly the pre-orders had a week to pay to remain in queue for Day1 delivery.  During that week the BTC cost for a Jupiter fluctuated between 55-65 (not including VAT or other costs).  I personally spent 59 BTC and remember being glad I didn't buy a day or 2 before as the cost was a few BTC higher.

I'm fairly certain the customers that will win out the best were the ones that paid 55BTC, mined for a week or 2, then sold the machine for a decent price.

Agreed -  Have you checked out ebay?  Man, the prices for used miners are off the hook.  People are not doing their calculations correctly...they are over paying per GHS.  BFL 60 GHS are going for 1300 - 1450 USD that's 21.7++ per GHS... that doesn't even make sense when you can buy it for .09 BTC  per GHS or under $20 per GHs on
1132  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Profitability of the new bfl monarchs (600ghs) on: October 27, 2013, 10:05:46 PM
At the same time - I've been mulling over the monarch - but I guess it's way too late to purchase them now as they only have January shipment dates =/

There's also the cointerra - they look pretty good too =)
1133  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: So was Monarch development the cause for BFL being so slow ordering 65nm parts? on: October 27, 2013, 09:48:29 PM
Arg - I managed to get my money back from them.  I tried cloud mining and haven't looked back.  Check out the signature.

Try it!  If you paid by credit card/paypal, you can get it back as well.
1134  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: End of Big Miners on: October 27, 2013, 03:54:59 AM
As BTC few, the cost of cloud computing went up for mining.  CEX went up from .08 to .09 for GHS.

ASIC is still cheaper comparing price per GH/S. Thats why they are selling right? Smiley

They are - the problem is...you have to wait.  You're placing a bet =/... so there's a good chance you might not get the returns... ROI is quickly turning into days before miners become obsolete.
1135  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: [Need Advice] Which would be best to buy? Hasfast or Cointerra on: October 27, 2013, 03:53:23 AM
Cointerra?  Can you respond?
1136  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Apparently you can buy hashes at 0.18 BTC/GH from cex.io (behind ghash.io) on: October 27, 2013, 03:48:42 AM
OK cool.  I started cloud mining too =)  It's kinda fun...try it out!
1137  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Will a Sep/Oct KNC jupiter ever ROI? on: October 27, 2013, 03:47:06 AM
Good for you! Dude, sounds like you made a good return =)
1138  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Worth it? on: October 27, 2013, 03:45:52 AM
All the fun of mining without the hardware =)
1139  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: New ultra fast ASIC machines, who is legit and trustworthy and who isn't? on: October 27, 2013, 03:44:43 AM
If you still want to mine...check out stuff that is 1THS or more...cointerra.
1140  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Only buy 1+ Terahash or more Bitcoin miners hardware on: October 27, 2013, 03:42:57 AM
I hope opted to cloud mine - at least you can sell your GHs quickly instead of trying to sell your miner on ebay or locally - it's a bit of a hassle.  Check out the could mining site in my signature.  There's no fees or transaction charges for trading BTC for GHS.  It's righly just below .1 BTC for 1 GHS.  Decent deals.
